It's like harely davidsons saw the vmax and decided running out of gas in the middle of nowhere was the best feature.
2008+ is better just for the 5 gallon tank. I can go a little over 200 miles with a full tank assuming i'm not hoonin on it.

I just sold my Harley Slim, and got a 2004 Vrod I was surprised at how light it felt, so I must disagree with you on that, but then I have had FLHTCU /Fatboy/Softail/Sportster/ Street Glide all have been awesome bikes, with a slight difference in feel but I have always wanted VROD Since they came out, so far so great! as far as speed Well I would leave that up to other brands, but I Love mine!

Did you buy it after all? How much did you pay for it? I put a deposit down on a 2004 today to save it for a few days. It’s in excellent condition but has a few scratches on the paint job throughout. How do you like it yours?

Love the farmland/country test drive route. Wish every ride was that great without stop lights and vehicles everywhere.-
harley davidson designed the engine as a race only engine, Porsche refined it so that it would be reliable and street able. also you can sit in 90 degree traffic for a very long time before the engine "goes funny". and lastly no harley does not purposely "unbalance" their engines to feel a certain way. this engine is counter balanced also the twin cam "b" engines are counter balanced. they are goddamed smooth. the twin cam "a" motors aren't counter balanced but they are balanced as well as you can balance a v-twin then they are rubber mounted.

Is this the stock sound or is it an aftermarket exhaust? Because it sound very pleasing!
The exhaust slip ons are Harley's Screamin' Eagle brand.
Looks like the stock handlebars..look good but suck after 200 miles. I replaced mine with reduced reach Harleys bars and its nice and comfortable.

Same one I got. Searching for an ape hanger to it to make it more comfortable. After an hour ride my back hurts

I really dont like the look. Stream lines just don't look out together. Beam shape tank and a pin point for gauges and handle bar connection.
