Mate, i don't think people understand the amount of effort you put into these videos, they are world class! Cheers to you 🤙 you deserve way more followers!
Nicely done Alex... both the filming and the catching. We've all been there with the missed fish and the frustration that comes with it. Glad you include those in your videos as well. Thanks for posting.
Killer editing on this one. I’ve been cooped up for weeks caring for a loved one during the best time of year to fish around here. Thanks for giving me a weekly taste of life outside.
A little bit of everything in this video. The one consistent was the beautiful brown trout. You continue to put out untouchable content. Thank you once again with another great video.
One of your best Alex. Thank you. Really like the way to go through yr set-up and the process changing flies etc. Great video work as well. Keep up the great work
I very much enjoyed watching your video. This is exactly what fishing means. The constant change of flies, the struggle of missing/losing a fish, etc. Kudos to you amigo, you’ve got a new subscriber

Long time subscriber, first time commentator! That was awesome fishing despite the misses. But the filming of that last brown gorging on those mayflies and then on your Category 3 Tricky Situation was next level. Keep building Alex
Alex, had to say this somewhere - and why not here on my favorite video thus far ... I JUST discovered you and LOVE the content you are producing! The journey you capture along the river is captivating, and your camera work is impressive! A bit jealous of the MAMMOTH fish you are finding ... but amazing stuff mate!
Holy shit you are totally spoilt for fish down there what a session absolute belters So you missed a few we all do that certainly made up for it in the end just shows how pationate an angler you when you get annoyed when you miss a fish. Just brilliant great to see you get a couple on the dry footage was fantastic keep catching mate
Yip another fantastic edit. A film with everything. Thank you for your time and effort you put into editing we all appreciate the skill you have on and off the water. Alex....Thankyou.
Loved that first fish, dirty worm! ✌ What I love more is the short time you keep these beauties out of the water; it is key to them surviving our meetings! Keep up the brilliant work and I'm hoping to visit NZ 2022 and maybe meet you. Peace. 👌😎 Just ordered a Trash Stash; brilliant! 👍
Well done Sir. Brilliant once again. Seriously helps pass the time when you’re in Covid jail. Hope to be getting out soon myself for a bit of fluff chucking. Cheers and “carry on filming”
Bro I absolutely love your videos.. Your footage is amazing quality.. Your storyline presentation is epic, your laid back commentary and real passion and emotion are very easy to connect with you too in those moments. That beautiful brown at 21 minutes when the wind picked up and the rain was coming down👌💯 loved that scene 😎. I love your work bro and thank you for putting in the yards for us to enjoy. Churrrr brother hope you have a meke day.
Hi Alex,I know that area well and to be able to watch you fish it is just gold to me especially when I cant fish it myself,so hats off to you brudda...digging the chill beats and content.,kind of like an early Christmas present for me!👍✌🏼🌞
In my opinion I have found something better than the New Zealand wool. It is called the Pat Dorsey indicator. Pat is a legend here in Colorado. But it floats all day, you can move it up and down your leader very easy, and it holds it shape, doesn’t tease out like the wool. Finally it is super sensitive. Might be worth checking out.
@@permitfisher Yea, I am 13 and have only been fishing for a year but it must have been really nice having no crowds. I can’t imagine how busy it is going to be in 20 years and Deckers and Cheesman. Probably going to end up like the San Juan
Oh man Alex, this is the best video of you for me. Beautiful scenery, a great river and fabulous fish. Unbelievable the first brown trout, how that came shot from its cover. Fantastic! Also that you show misses in the video, I think great. They are also part of it, although you are an excellent fly fisherman. Thank you for this video.
Top quality editing and camera work - you had set a very high bar for fishing videos but they just keep getting better. Love the brown trout - fabulous fish.
Classic video , best you have done for ages (they are all good) . Nice to see you don't always catch one first cast and have to change things up a bit .👍
Excellent filming of the last fish eating the fly. I can’t imagine the time needed to set up the camera by yourself and then actually get the shot of the eat in frame. Outstanding job. Thanks
Alex… what a great video. And your editing was totally lifted on this vid man. Great job. That second fish. Wow. And so well put together. Felt like I was there. 👌👌👌
Terrific camera work! How good was that dry fly eat! Amazing to capture that in such detail on a solo mission! Trash stash arrived btw, and proudly on the hip pack!! Great kit!
Outstanding Alex. Looked as cold with u as it here in SW Scotland LOL LOL 😆😂. That last brown on the dry. Priceless!!!. My preferred way to catch ..... on the dry..... . Plus added bonus if u have clear water . U get to see it come up for the fly before lol lol all hell brakes loose 🤣😂😅. Love it... u had the patience of a Saint early , where u had to change ur fly several times, many casts to get her to take. In the end skill and Perseverance won. Brill. Keep up the best fly content out there. Catch u later. Malky.
Excellent once again Alex, interesting the mayfly hatch in that weather, went for fish this morning but hard to compete, even mid week witth jetboats and bulldozers😮💨
Hey my friend fromunda, adipose fin is thought to be for fatty storage and/or simply for swimming control Cmon out and I’ll put you on some more adipose freaks 😊
Terrific day on the water. Got to give them what they want, even a worm. Every wonder how many pounds of fish you have caught and released? Very likely a substantial amount. Also, nice to know you aren't likely to see anyone else and have them get in the way.
Not sure whether that Scotch broom is indigenous to NZ, but if not, it's n insane concentration. Have watched it take over coastal and interior locations in Pacific Northwest (Oregon)... Curious how it will impact the fishery there, long term. Phenomenal fish and energy. Thanks for sharing a great clip!
That is fly fishing heaven!! Absolutely fantastic, beautiful river and scenery, well presented and the brownies are outstanding!!! Good job indeed!!!
Mate, i don't think people understand the amount of effort you put into these videos, they are world class! Cheers to you 🤙 you deserve way more followers!
+1, always amazing
No one is putting out fly fishing videos like you brother. Great work in all respects. Peace.
Paul from Two Novice Anglers here. Great video. We are imagining we are in NZ atm. Fishing this river.

Nicely done Alex... both the filming and the catching. We've all been there with the missed fish and the frustration that comes with it. Glad you include those in your videos as well. Thanks for posting.

Fantastic tripod placement for some stunning shots…. Another fantastic video, even non fishing people would love it.
Exquisite footage around the 26:30-27:+ mark!!! One could sense with that patrolling amber shadow, it was on a greedy feed and you nailed it!
Some big, gorgeous, boys caught this go, and one pretty lady. Nicely done! Love the shirt, awesome!
A little bit of everything in this video. The one consistent was the beautiful brown trout. You continue to put out untouchable content. Thank you once again with another great video.

Squirmy wormy for the win. Awesome video as always 👌
That trout was picky and you tied on a worm imitation .. Haha!
Great vid man. Such an awesome dry fly eat too. The NZ mayfly look huge compared to those I see in Australia.

Terrific day on the water. Got to give them what they want, even a worm. Every wonder how many pounds of fish you have caught and released? Very likely a substantial amount. Also, nice to know you aren't likely to see anyone else and have them get in the way.
That’s an awesome river and amazing browns. It would rival many South Island streams I think.
ALEX NICE FISH AS ALWAYS.. BOB,,
