I watch these silk press vids all the time, and I've never seen beautians do the technical of putting the client under the dryer for a better and less intense blow out. My mom R.I.P. and an O.G of beautians(50+ as a beautian) did this all the time, especially for pressing the hair. Her press were known for being bouncey, airy, long lasting and never greasy and stiff(a lot of her clients had long hair, ). She specialized in treating and growing the hair too, so I know you know what you're doing.
Yes best friend u always have me right!!! Don’t be scared to chop those dead ends off ladies! 💇🏽♀️💁🏽♀️ Book with her if you’re in the Houston or surrounding areas
I love how you said that you both agreed to how much to cut and you're not cutting more behind her back..that keeps happening to me and I be pissed. Her hair looks good!
She may want to check to see if she has a vitamin deficiency. Vitamin D and iron deficiency can cause hair breakage. Vitamin D deficiency is very common for people of color because of the melanin in our skin. You did a great job with her hair. 😊
When your stylist gives you a cut and it doesn’t even look like it was that much after! Love that her hair is healthy and she definitely still has amazing hang time 😍😍😍
The breakage is from pony tails. Also fe satin or silk pillow case. And protein/moisturizing treatments coupled with flat twist not braids two weeks of the month will greatly help protect and strengthen that occipital area.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve been trying to convince her to do twist outs or flat twist but I can’t seem to get her to do it 😫 those low maintenance styles always helps .
@@Savedbythestylist Totally!!!!! Once she sees how practical, convenient low maintenance they are and how gorgeous the come out and that here hair isn't snapping midshaft, shell change her tone. Lol. I have a client that all it took was two weeks. She was like I'm not shedding!!!!! Lol. I also gifted her The Wet Brush. It helps minimize breakage that we might attribute to shedding.
*Takes notes* I have some breakage because even though my hair is long and pretty healthy overall, I loveeee ponytails and i usually make them too tight 😣 ok, twist outs, no braids GOT IT lol!
Shocked at how exact this is to how I do my hair, from the blow dry method to the cut and trim. Her hair is beautiful and low-key reminds me of mine, down to the color and rough patch in the back lol. You did that!
I really liked the way you helped her hair out. Absolutely beautiful. Hope to see more new videos next year God willingly. God bless you and always stay safe. 🙂
I wish she would take care of her hair. it is so nice to have a full head of hair. Even if she doesn't like to comb it it can keep it in twist and do her weekly or bi-weekly deep conditioner
Hello😁 Great Job🙌Can anyone tell me name of the blue bottle product used during this video at exactly 14:05 during her flat ironing ? This product is not listed in her description in her shownotes.Thankyou in advance for replying.
The thinning in the middle is probably from her parting the hair down the middle all the time and probably sleeping with it so. Notice how she brings the hair over her shoulders at the end? That part rubs against her skin and clothes thus getting snagged.
I bet she parts her hair down the middle all the time and possibly sleeps on it that way. I used to do that EVEN WITH satin pillow cases and bonnets and I noticed breakage in the back so now I preserve my hair in 3 sections and that completely solved my problem.
I've been looking for a natural hair stylist. I'm glad you're in Houston! I'm just up the road near Huntsville. Do you also cut?? I've almost convinced myself to get a tapered cut.
You technique is REALLY good...ole school styling!! Just one critique...you SHOULDN’T cut natural hair BEFORE straightening. You will never get a precision cut. As a result, you cut more hair than you have to because you have to cut again. # Relaxed hair can be cut before straightened because it’s prestraightened chemically. #LOVEYourWork
I asked for a trim decades ago and the stylist took off 7" and stated she thought I said cut I've never been back. I've done my own hair for decades and it's to my waist I trim it myself. This person did a nice job but, the client is rather silly.
Great result. She has great hair. I love your technique. But that problem section in the back is puzzling. It probably has something to do with how she's wearing her hair. Ponytail or something? How she's putting it up at night? Weird. Clothing tags? No. But its odd because it looked to be a slice of hair in the middle and going straight down. Weird. Smh.

Can’t wait till we do the real big chop !
Where is she located? Im on the west side.
Hell, I would fly from Va real quick just to have her style my hair!! 🙋🏽♀️
I'm new in Houston where are you located
I love the Lord, he heard my cry and pity every groan. Long as I live and troubles arise, I will hast onto his throne.

tink mitch Hahahahaha! I just said the same thing, due to the color of her scalp.
Yea, I found out I was and had to get on vitamins and eat differently
Was thinking the same thing. It will happen over and over and you have to keep on cutting instead of finding the source which can be internal.

You did a great job on her hair. Beautiful!😍
A good cut makes all the difference. Beautiful!
Saved by the Stylist is right! Her hair looks amazing.
I started doing the Bantu knot method and let my hair air dry a while and it has made my roots last and my hair straight for a while.
I'm definitely going to try some of your techniques and products from my silk press.
You did a great job! Her hair is so pretty!

Great job.....Love the end results she has thick hair & it looks healthy
I really liked the way you helped her hair out. Absolutely beautiful. Hope to see more new videos next year God willingly. God bless you and always stay safe. 🙂
Her hair is so beautiful! You do amazing work! 👏
How do you trim ends without the hair being completely straight? Not sure I care for this technique... otherwise, Great Job.😁
I agree. Silk before you cut. It saves time some length and touch up cutting.
Yeah u are right cause towards the end of the video she was still trimming some of her ends. She shouldn’t have to do that ...js
Her hair is flawless 🥰💕
I love the beginning of this video. So fun! Go Bestie
you take so much pride in your work..i love it
Glad you back I 💘 your video.
Omg! Instantly looks super dense and luscious!!

Such a good stylist 👏🏽💯
Beautiful hair, beautiful results. Great job!
Your scissor control is no joke.
It sure is. I can tell her reputation means a lot to her (as it should) no client will get to say "the stylist cut all my hair off."
I bet she parts her hair down the middle all the time and possibly sleeps on it that way. I used to do that EVEN WITH satin pillow cases and bonnets and I noticed breakage in the back so now I preserve my hair in 3 sections and that completely solved my problem.
$165! Dang .. Beautiful results tho
I’ve never spent less than $180 going to the salon.

😳😳😳... 💲165! It's like pulling teeth trying to get $30 for a wash & set here in da Bronx! I'm definitely in the wrong locale.
Great work!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✂✂✂
It came out beautifully!
The ending is like,
"Mask on. Mask off. Mask on. Mask off. Mask on. Mask off." Lol but turned out amazing!
Tish have a head full of hair! Great job Misty

You seem like one of those fun hair stylists. I went to a salon but I can’t remember the name but they were dry as frick 😂
You did a good job. The cut was needed.
Beautiful!
That's what I did 2 years ago; it wasn't going to do me any good by leaving them there and my hair also grew back faster.
I want a blow out and cut so badly
I need that brush too 😰
I will do it, comment your address/city and I will blow-dry and trim your hair
What is the best protein treatment for breakage?

And i mean under the dryer with the conditioner/protein treatment
With conditioner yes! not protein treatments
Gotcha!! Thanks for the info. What protein treatment fo you like to use?
Are you taking new clients? If so were are you located .
Great blow dry tip!
