Great video! I find this style with several IEm's that you comment on very helpful espically when you pick your favorite. I wan to purchase the Em6ls but also considering the Phoenix Call. I will check but I don't think you have a review. Thanks again.
Thanks very much and I have done videos like this before but it's been a few months. Phoenix Call seem to be a big V shape and indeed I haven't tried it.
Great reviews as ever, fingers crossed for discounts 👍🚀
Cheers Rich and I hope so!
You have almost the exact same taste as I do, so I find your reviews especially useful. Thanks for what you do
Thanks and great stuff 👍
Great review, I recently bought the juzear clear iems, they are an upgrade over the 7hz legato at a much more affordable price, they have a similar bass quantity but but more air in the treble, cant wait to get them
Thanks very much and where did you get those from?
@@VortexReviews1 Hifigo sells them for ~€48.
Oh this will help very much!
Thanks for watching and happy to share my opinions.
Really love my Sonus, but I do agree that they can be sharp at times with distorted electric guitars. But still overall, I really enjoy listening to them. I actually really like how bass guitars sound with them as well as female vocals on rock tracks. I haven't been exposed to higher priced sets yet, but the technicalities to me are really good - detail and resolution seem to be great for the price. And again, I haven't tried sets above the $100 dollar mark but the sound just feels much more open to me compared to the 7hz Zero and Wan'er (which I own and really like, especially at a third of the price!).
I agree that the Fudu should've maybe been $20 cheaper, but I guess you can argue the tips are supposedly premium. I'm still tempted by them though since I can get them at about $80 now. Do you think they're a fair step up from the Z300? Feedback on this is 50/50. Some say they're too close to be worth it, others say it's a considerably better. Any thoughts?
The EA500 is a set I'm SO CLOSE to pulling the trigger on. Besides the relatively universal acclaim, I also appreciate that it seems to be a different tuning from majority of the releases this year. Also currently only $70 where I live.
EA500 are worth a try and maybe pass on the Fudu if you have the Sonus as they are a sidegrade. Z300 are still a fun and safe set.
how much of an upgrade are 7hz sonus from 7hz Zero?
@@nileshgardi1783 just IMHO, i think it is well worth it. If you really like the 7hz Zero sound signature like myself (aka really clean - some will say too thin), the Sonus I think are a perfect upgrade that is surprisingly priced really well. You can maybe shell out more for the Hexa and even more for the new Nova, but unless you've got a lot of extra cash, i think the difference likely isn't worth it. JayAudio just released a video on the Nova and he discusses the Hexa and Sonus there, so might be worth for you to check out to get more opinions 🙂
All chinese earphones are sharp anyway!
@@beslemeto Not always.
Hi, thanks for the review. Are fudu for black metal good? Or are there better fudu for the same price?
Fudu might not be a good match for metal as they are quite bright sounding.
Is sonus good for metal? I figured that it would be good with a balanced sound signature that has a slight bass boost which i think should help with making the bass pedals on drums have more kick
Should be ok.
Big man I'd love a KZ Castor review from you, dual DDs and good basshead set that can replace the QKZ HBBs. Thanks
Hi and slim chance I will be trying that one.
Hi, I was curious about the Sonus. Right now it's on sale for about the same price as the Crinacle Reds. Would you be able to recommend between these two for male vocals? Thanks.
Never tried the Reds.
Sonus and Hexa are more my speed. I like more nuetral and balanced sounding sets. Em6L will be my next iem for sure though
👍
Are these a huge upgrade over the the TRN ST5 and T3+? Looking for good stage, not necessarily wide, looking more for a rendering that's interesting and engaging. Thanks
I no longer own the ST5 or T3+ but if you own them and like them then just keep them.
Thanks 👍🏻 I'm keeping them. I was just trying to not waste money if it was a minor upgrade. Found the EA500 on sale and ordered. Hopefully if it's not better it will offer something different.
Great reviews 👍
@@m_yy_m Thanks!
Good comparison 👍
Even truthear hexa is a good set in this price band. Do you think Dunu Titan S is still worth considering today?
Thanks very much and maybe. I don't own it any more.
Could you do the same style of videos but with Planar Driver IEMs please?
In plan to do that when I get some of the upcoming models.
@@VortexReviews1 Thank you very much :)
@@AwaisMahmood57 No worries :D
I searching iem's for gaming/music, what should i choose either sonus, truthear x crinacle zero(blue), pandamone 2, tianderinhe td19, budget near 35-45$
Never tried the Zero Blue, Pandamon 2 or TD19
Can you make a video on best iems under 200 dollar
Possibly if I get more in that range or close.
Hello sir, I live in India and have a budget of around INR 5000(50$).
I want to buy an IEM but I'm confused between CCA Rhapsody, Simgot EW200, 7Hz Sonus and KZ PR3(all of them are around the same price bracket) [you could suggest anything else as well]
My first IEM was the Moondrop SSR which I loved because of the details and soundstage, I was blown away with it's quality(a lot of people found it excessive but I don't think I'm sensitive to any frequency)
Please tell me which is superior is which aspect, I want to get something that blows me away with it's clarity, detail retrieval, soundstage(keep in mind I'm not sensitive to certain frequencies that people call to be shouty).
Please help so that I make the best decision.
Answered on the other post.
@@VortexReviews1 where?
@@ahraziqbal9 The community post. Sonus is worth a try.
Any bassier IEM than QKZ + HBB KHAn around that price-point?
Maybe Legato as well.
kz castor bass edition. has really good quality bass.
What do you recommend as a sidegrade for the Dunu Titan S ? What would you consider an upgrade for about the same price (max $150) ? Thank you!
Hexa
Probably the Hexa as well but Nova is coming soon and that is 150 USD.
How do these compare to the original Shuoer S12?
I sold S12 long ago
Superbbbbbb🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
sonus or hexa? for neutral tuning and detail
Probably Hexa
Can you suggest which is better, 7hz Sonus or Truethear Hexa ?
Depends on what you want? Sonus might be a little more universal.
@@VortexReviews1, thank you for your response. I want to use it for music. I generally listen to instrumental music, so which one would be better? 7hz sonus or truthear hexa?
@@siddharthchovatiya369 Possibly Sonus as the Hexa can sound a bit dry in comparison
Thank you so much. It helped a lot.
@@siddharthchovatiya369 No problem.
I like em6l the best
👍
Hexa vs Vudu Verse 1??
They are tuned quite differently from each other.
@@VortexReviews1 i know! I've using Tangzu Wa'ner since it's launch. I quite like it, but it lacks sub-bass rumble, mids/vocals is full, highs are low. I need Balanced one(not airy sounding).
@@thegreatestofalltime777 Hexa is quite thin sounding. What's your budget?
10:03 *Kinera* *Celeste* *Phoenixcall* *&* *QOA* *Aviation* 🎣
Need to try those.
What a coincidence i have the exact opposite sets under 100 dollars😂 truthear red zero, MN aria snow(gifted:not my preference) and KZ x HBB Pr2 (i know i know, i massed up)
Is that Zero Red worthy grabbing? Shame about KZ and that mess after the first batch.
@@VortexReviews1 it's a very nice set you get a spacious sound with a warmer balanced tuning (without the impedance adapter) but the 6 mm nozzle can be a fit issue for smaller ears.
@@saikatchakraborty4473 Might grab one in the sale and thanks 👍
@@VortexReviews1 If you get them, please share your experience, will wait for it, thank you.
@@saikatchakraborty4473 Will do 👍
Man in a couple years thrrr will probably be $10-$20 iems that are as good as these
Don't buy these I bought Simgot EW 200 EA500 both sound horrible for that much price
7hz Zero sounds better than both in pretty much every song
Hexa is also bad
T3+ over hexa all day
@@Smzxe I mean I guess we all have different preferences
Possibly lol
I don't see the Sonus and Fudu holding up here, they are just budget meh 1DDs with poor upper mids tuning and no highs. With IEMs getting cheaper and cheaper I don't see the point in buying these ho-hum 1DD releases, they really have nothing going for them other than somewhat polite tuning. EA500 has an exceptional DD and the other 2 are hybrids so you expect a greater level of detail. I do really like the Hexa, it's the most correct sounding with it's 3k peak. The one IEM you're missing here is the KZ PR2, which honestly competes with all the other planars on detail, though I like the Tangzu tuning better myself.
I said at the beginning of the video I can only do a video on what I have and I don't have the KZ PR2 and when they changed the tuning was such a bad move for them so I never grabbed them.
They're both hybrids not 1DDs
@innovance3788 exactly. Sonus is a balanced as well. Doesn't really emphasize much of anything. Slight bass boost with neutral sounding midrange and decent treble extension. Hexa is neutral bright sounding. It's got more upper treble energy. The bass is a little more neutral on hexa though compared to Sonus. I own both of them and like them a lot. I'd say both are relevant to the current market. They're not bad sets if you like more analytical style tuning. Some might find them boring and I can see that. So they're definetly not perfect but they're not bad at all
@@LuciferArc1I'm also trying and enjoying more analytical sets, looking for something close to the Hexa kind of sound (I don't have it). My budget limit is close to US 50 and with the 11.11 sales I ordered a Sonus, hopping it has similar technicalities (resolution and detail) that the Hexa. Was in doubt between Sonus and Zero Red, and I hope I made the right choice.
@@fapollonio you did. I have both sets. Sonus is just as capable as the hexa
Em6l vs tangzu waner
EM6L is what I would pick.
@@VortexReviews1 can i ask which better simgot ea500, or ea500lm?
@@jerickpogi9992 They aren't really better just different. Just need to pick the one for you.
@@VortexReviews1 more bassy and less fatiguing i want
@@jerickpogi9992 The EA500LM are more V shaped so have more bass and more "fatigue"
Singot EW200 and EA500 suck they sound horrible for price bought them both because they were hyped some of them said EW200 sounds better than EA500 ew200 is muddy congested and dull sounding
7hz Salnotes Zero sounds so much better than them much cleaner wider brighter can't believe
They dont compete with T3+ at all
KZ EDX ultra 7hz Salnotes Zero Tin T3+ are still best earphones in each budget
Cheers for the feedback 👍
Never tried the EW200 model.
@@VortexReviews1 ew200 was overhyped most of them saying it's better than EA500
But 7hz zero sounds much cleaner wider much better than EW200
@@Smzxe Got it and thanks 👍
@@VortexReviews1 will you review the KZ ZVX? I didn't like EW200 at all it lacks upper treble it sounded muted muddy and dull
7hz Zero was way crisper clearer sounding much more open soundstage not even comparable 7hz Zero is much better
@@Smzxe I won't be reviewing the KZ ZVX. Cheers for the feedback.
