Beautiful Madeline. Here in PR we would pronounce her name as “MadeLin”; couldn’t have picked a more beautiful model….. Thanks again FrankVet Puerto Rico Note: I have the 2023 white HTC 70th Anniversary Edition
I see these wheels on both sites wheel designer and original manufacture. Where should i buy it from. And is it true that they have 7 to 8 weeks of time to get an order made and shipped
Either is fine, ForgedLite exclusively sold through wheels designers, pricing will be the same make sure to mention BOS and you will get the discount, shipping and lug nuts. Also if you tell them we said to ask to have the ceramic coated they will do so as well. Good luck can’t wait to hear what style you went with.
This video helped me make the decision on what what wheels I will be purchase. Great production on the Try on Haul idea! You are right this should have been done much sooner.
I sold them, but Forgedlite is running a winter special with as good as prices as they have ever had. Reach out to them and mention BOS and they will sweeten the deal with free shipping and lug nuts.
I just weighted factory oem 20 spoke vs Forgedlite my 20’s similar design and can confirm 6.1 pounds lighter. We will weight, film and document with video this weight savings.
We will do a follow up, I just weight front 20 spoke oem vs. Forgedlite mc20 similar design and it’s 6.1 pounds lighter, I will do the same with the rear and we will document on video.
Thank you for not doing black only. Black is the trend but I can't help but prefer the silver on colors like dark red and dark blue especially. The silver seems to bring out the paint color better. To each his own but nice to see a variety here.
Great video. Just received my MC5’s in carbon flash today. I may have missed it, but what is the link for the tpms? Which Discount Tire shop do you use?
People have asked what model is it, this is the 6000 ELX which works great for Corvettes, the platform touched both jacking points. Super happy with it, makes projects like this a breeze.
I just saw this video I liked all the wheels but you were missing one combination which would be polished or chrome outer edge of the wheels with the spokes being carbon flash black. That would have been the one I would’ve picked.
Should have weighed the 20 spoke forgelite in comparison to the 20 spoke 70th wheel ,, not compared a 10 spoke to 20 spoke . Would have given a better comparison . More aluminum in the design . Unfare weight comparison .
I just weighted factory oem 20 spoke vs Forgedlite my 20’s similar design and can confirm 6.1 pounds lighter. We will weight, film and document with video this weight savings.
@NRDEMON , thank you much for that , very much appreciated . I currently have the 70th wheels on my Hypersonic Gray 2023 . With 2 tone red and black interior , the slight red touch on the outside is really nice .
I don't like black wheels although I like the styles. Both of those blacks look great on white, but I much prefer the brighter options. you can actulally SEE them. I like the 70th anniv wheels too. But the last bright wheel was the bomb. Also. we will be needing to see more of Madeline on this channel. ..just saying.
I have 20" and 22", although there is a slight shudder at around 65mph, I had the wheels balanced, but seems to still be there.. no mag ride.. wondering if it needs an alignment?? Thoughts???
Take your wheels to a different shop for balancing . Discount Tire works with large diameter wheels . Ask to have their most experienced tech do the work . Have them document the weights needed for each wheel . You may just need a better balance job or you may have a defective wheel .
I imagine there isn't much of a tire on that 22 so maybe a pothole has bent one of the rims already. My major concern of getting these bigger wheel setups.
Mike……excellent video….one of your best. Great narration, group participation, Madeline’s “wrench” talents and stylish presence (bring her back for more), Darrin’s tech and wrap-up comments definitely rate this comparison a big thumbs up. My vote, the MC20 two-piece wheels. With their brushed spokes, polished outer barrels and hardware make these wheels the winner. In close second, the OEM 70th Anniversary wheels (you know why).
Thanks! They are making these in z06 sizes, reach out to them and let them know what you want, lots of options with finishes and hardware. Our friend Jesse Iwuji has the mc5’s on his new z06 in a custom bronze color. Thanks again for all your support with the channel.

They all look so good, Nobody says you can't have two sets, one brushed aluminum and one gloss black or Carbon Flash. Love the styles that ForgedLite Wheels is putting out. Great VIdeo!
Great informational video! I have the Carbon Flash Anniversary Edition C8 and would like to know if Forgedlite makes the M5 in polished Aluminum? Also like the MC20 2 piece but really think adds a lot of time in keeping them clean, similar to my OEM wheels. Again, GREAT video!!
Great video Mike. I have Vossen gloss black HF7 wheels with michelin 325-25-21 and 255-30-20 tires +52 and +35 offset. Looking at mid May for delivery for my Red Mist C8 Z51. Any clearance issues with the factory rock guard? Also any chirping during slow speed tight turns?

I try to look at the website of forgelite wheels and they have a number of choices. Can we ask whats the difference 1pc monoblock Performance series DUO block All of the above are 1 pieces forge wheels ?
Big props to everyone who assisted you in this video and of course wonderful to have lovely Madeline showcase and put forth the effort guys. Thank you as it was fun to watch alongside the showcase of the cool wheels
Love the 70th Anniversary wheels on the red mist car…I have a 70th Anniversary HTC the brake dust does not show as much as on my 22 C8 with carbon flash wheels….
I have the Forgedlite MC-5's in brushed aluminum (20/21) on my black C8 Z51 and I absolutely LOVE them . They have totally transformed the car !! Now every time I look at it , Im crazy about it . The stance , quality , and color of the brushed aluminum is perfect . I worked with Jose at WheelDesigners , and took advantage of the Brink Of Speed discount .OEM center caps too . I couldn't be happier with my purchase ! If you are on the fence - just do it - you won't be disappointed . Thanks guys !
Wow this is the best video yet Mike! I have the same Red Mist HTC C8, so this is like your putting them on my car as well....😃. Now I have the 20 spoke OEM gloss black rims but the MC 20's in gloss black are killer too. I don't think that you could go wrong with any of those wheels thought.
Just purchased OEM 20-spoke forged in BRONZE (white car). The bronze color is subtle, not gaudy. You can order these on your build, but being a Chev "accessory", I think they're dealer installed (and expensive $3200), I paid $2300 from ShopChevyParts. NOTES: A 10-spoke forged wheel will weigh less than a 20-spoke forged wheel...is it as strong? Having the wheel flush at the top of the fender means it's out too far further down, where a lot of crap gets thrown on the fenders...hey, you can always add tacky mud flaps. Going to 20/21" fills the gap nicely, but makes the small C8 brakes look even smaller. Black wheels are very popular...too bad you need a 2000 watt 20-LED light array just to see what they look like.
Ladies and gentlemen, give a huge thumbs up to Madeleine the star of this video!
She needs her own channel!!
I agree with Scott

Love the video. What brand of floor jack do you use?
Quickjack is what we used for the video that you see.
Never really liked black or carbon flash rims, but this comparison has shifted me.
Forget the Wheels - we need more Madeline !!
Would of loved to see some bronze wheels

I'm old school...not a fan of black wheels, but love, love, love the big 2 pc forged brushed aluminum
👍😊
Not sure the camera even gives you the full perspective of how great they look in person.
I’m right there with ya… but the black wheels look better in person than in video.
can I get the mc5s if you haven't gotten rid of them?
I sold them, but Forgedlite is running a winter special with as good as prices as they have ever had. Reach out to them and mention BOS and they will sweeten the deal with free shipping and lug nuts.
@nrdemon1031 only 200 off a set of 3400 wheels

@nrdemon1031 my bad it was 3400+tires it would be 6500. the mc8 in a 20/21 setup
@@zaddy_andre__ ya tires are about $2200 If you do the 20/21’s.

I just weighted factory oem 20 spoke vs Forgedlite my 20’s similar design and can confirm 6.1 pounds lighter. We will weight, film and document with video this weight savings.
Looks like the winner is: Madeline. She's the wheel deal!
Great video! Loved it.
The wheels were nice, but I need that jack.
exactly! take my money
Why are you comparing apples to oranges.. for one they have different design and of course they will weight less if they have less metal or arms?
We will do a follow up, I just weight front 20 spoke oem vs. Forgedlite mc20 similar design and it’s 6.1 pounds lighter, I will do the same with the rear and we will document on video.
I like the second gloss black wheels. Just got a torch red c-8 I need help with wheel set up.
How do I get these brush silver rims?
Go to Forgedlite wheels that’s with a d the address was in the video and be sure to mention the BOS code.

The The polished aluminum are awesome they really pop and make the car look really Aggress
Totally agree 😊
Yes I have red mist convertible and will check them out but not the same as looking at them on the car.
As you saw you can go wrong with any of the colors on a red mist car.
I agree with Darren. It’s your car. If you love it then that is all that matters. Well said Darren
As I say joking, you can mess it up
However you want 😅😅😅
I like the 2nd set with the matching red ring is a 10 out 10.
Price for the 20-21’s ??
Around $3,900 depending on style and finish.
Silver flare with the brushed aluminum would be so clean
That would look awesome. Yet to see one in that combo, would be even better if it had red interior.
@@nrdemon1031 thats exactly what i was thinking, the red dipped! Good call!
I have a question… Did you try front & back 20’s?
You could, our opinion the 20/21 combo looks the best.
I waited 2 months to try to get the black rims , and settled on the 70th wheel
MC5 polished!!! Yesssss
Wondering if they offer a bronze wheel?
They come in all colors and you can even do a custom color if you have the paint color code.
Which jack stand did you used in the video?
Quick Jack model 6000 ELX
Love the 70th anniversary wheel on the red mist because of the red stripe. Love the bright wheels too on other color cars….

We use the one in Roanoke, Tx
Why didn’t you show the red mist with bronze wheels?
We didn’t have any bronze wheels in our possession, bronze would look great and is a finish offered by ForgedLite.
Hey Brink of Speed, I just got my allocation and I cant get any black wheels! do you have any advice for me to get some black forged EOMs??
If you are in Dallas I have a set to sell.
Is this car lowered at all?
Yes, lowered with Paragon front collars and 1” drop springs.
Hey Mike is that Darren’s Quick Jack lift doing the action? If so I’m going to get one.

It sure is. Pretty awesome huh?
NC5 for me, by far my favorite.
Those are a very clean and timeless look.
On the MC20, the spokes that stick out is where they will take your fingers off.
What a fun and great video !!!!!!!!!!! I pick that 2 piece wheel all day !!!!!!!
Agree 💯
Now this is a “new content” video… awesome idea
Is that a custom paint on the vet or factory?
Factory Red Mist
Thank you for this video. I want the brushed aluminum Forgeline Wheels for my 22 Red Mist HTC

The OEM Q91 Black wheels look great and tie in all the other black accents on the car.
Yes! Just have to hope there aren’t any bad potholes around though…
I just saw this video I liked all the wheels but you were missing one combination which would be polished or chrome outer edge of the wheels with the spokes being carbon flash black. That would have been the one I would’ve picked.

Where can I get these wheels from
From ForgedLite or Wheels Designers the links are in the description.
Mc5 carbon flash black! Super helpful video

That was one of the bast comparo videos for Rims I've seen for a Corvette.
Glad you enjoyed it, which one was your favorite??
I got the OEM red striped wheel... Was worth it to me... I won't be changing

I have 20" and 22", although there is a slight shudder at around 65mph, I had the wheels balanced, but seems to still be there.. no mag ride.. wondering if it needs an alignment?? Thoughts???
I would definitely consider an alignment if you did 22, if you think about it with the 2” difference front vs. rear the rake is probably causing that.
Take your wheels to a different shop for balancing . Discount Tire works with large diameter wheels . Ask to have their most experienced tech do the work . Have them document the weights needed for each wheel . You may just need a better balance job or you may have a defective wheel .
