    Just bought it today.Charged up the batt,and I did a neighbours lawn for him.Worked like a charm.Love the personal pace self propelled system-the mower goes when you want to go-and stops when you want to stop.Of all the self propelled systems I have tried,the Personal Pace system works the best.

    I’ve been running mine two months now. It’s been flawless and goes as good as the Honda gas mower that it replaced.

      The Honda was 18 years old and was well worn. It still ran though, so I sold it for $60 and treated myself to a new mower.

      @@robertb5922 , I see. But I hear the Flex Force's are very big and heavy. Unless you have a big yard, maybe?

      They are heavier than the typical electric lawnmower since it has a steel deck. But that is what I like about it.

    I just bought the vortex version. it works pretty dang good. though I'm coming from a 1st gen ego and I though it bagged well. I changed so I can have the self propelled, since we have a much bigger yard now. The toro bags so much more than my old ego, granted my ego was the first gen push mower. I just wanted a change in mowers and self propelled version. I'm liking it a lot so far.

    Bought the same mower and love it for my St. Aug grass... had a similar problem with bare spots, I got some plugs and after 4 weeks I can’t even tell where I planted. I also did sod in some areas but like the plugs much better.

      A lot of folks are coming to a realization that the metal and heavier decks are better for thick grass cut quality. The lighter decks are easier to push for humans but also easier for thick grass to push up and that makes things a bit uneven.

  • @howlingwolf125y

    It would be nice if Toro offered beefed up larger (maybe a 25" to 27") deck in this mower .. but I'd forget the double blade design and just go with a SINGLE (25" to 27") blade.. advantages of one blade instead of two are: Only one blade to sharpen.. With a single blade you keep things more simple and more efficient.. No extra belts or no two motors or no two batteries.. and less weight and cost less than a double blade design.. plus I bet the longer single blade would probably cut better (because of higher blade tip speed).

    When using the bagger, will the mower pick-up long pine needles? Thanks.

    • @staugustinegreen7064
      @staugustinegreen7064  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately I haven't been able to test that since I don't have pine needles. I did however mow over some beaches and leaves I cut off the tree and it did well. I belive the toro has the best suction power with the bagger out of all of the electric lawn mowers. Check the turf mechanic TH-cam channel. He did some compassion videos with bagger suction. Good luck!

    Well even though you wont bash ego I will. Ego's mowers (the 3 I have had) including the Select Cut cut quality was crap. It left all type of stragglers and didn't have any where near the amount of lift Toros does. I just returned the Select cut for the toro 60v mower and the difference is crazy. Also, the personal pace feature really is nice compared to the ego. Also, to any one wondering about actual mowing time on a single charge, with dry grass of a moderate hight you will get a little less than 1/4 acre of grass cutting done on a 6 ah battery.

    Toro does not know what's good for the consumer. Having wires not inside the handle may be good if they break and need to be replaced. But having them run down on the outside of the handle is the worst thing you can do. That is why you have to replace them on the Toro, they constantly get snagged on things if you have to run close to something. That is a HUGE drawback for Toro. It's the one thing I hate about my current Toro gas mower. They could have at least learned something and have them run down the inner side of the handle and not the outer side where they can snag. The only thing I like about Toro is their Personal Pace system. That is the best self propulsion system there is.

  • @randyman8984
    @randyman8984 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I tried the Toro and didn't like it. I did love the cut quality but I don't like that it goes into turbo mode on on the self-propelled. Turbo drains the battery since I'm on a hill my battery goes out really fast. The ego never went into turbo on self-propelled only when mowing thick grass. So would not recommend this mower if you have slope/hills and if you have over 4,000 sq ft.

    • @staugustinegreen7064
      @staugustinegreen7064  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You know what. I have to agree with you. Although the battery I have in this Toro has a higher capacity then my ego did, it does last less longer. Although my Ego was a push mower, I was expecting the increased battery capacity to equal what the ego was giving, even with self-propelled. The battery life is an issue for sure. Thanks for the comment!
