Just something I’ve noticed from watching this. The guys with the widest chest are using a very wide grip, Arnold, Markus Ruhl and Ronnie Coleman. And in my opinion Arnold’s and Ronnies are the best. The closer the grip the forearms and upper arms seem very well developed. Seems weird than two of the best ever with narrow chests ie Lee Priest and Phil Heath either have a problem with the wide grip movement or are oblivious that they have tight little chests and wide grip may help. It almost seems like a phenomenon that no one else is talking about this

    • @goncalotome1791

The ideal is a balance, neither too wide nor too close, the bar has marks where to put your hands. For example, markus ruhl had small tricps, while phiel has huge tricps, so the ideal is to have a balance putting your hands on the bar marks

branch form is actually the best, cuz instead of all this great guys trying to give chest some damage, so it would recover after and grow, branch simply throws a bar with weight around 400-500 lbs right at his chest, while not even trying to stop it and THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE!!!!

The guys with the strictest form had the worst chests lol

I like Levrone with the full range of motion. Yates rom and speed is flawless but his spotter constantly touching the bar is annoying at. Ronnie with the wider grip with 5 plates is king.

Can some one explain to me the purpose in not extending your arms on bench press. Ronnie looked like he was doing half reps. Like if I did half reps I'd do more bc im doing half the work. I dont get it
