@@w.whoisrio She is not putting her health at risk by wearing a dress, the issue here is having the confidence to wear a dress where every body can see her large leg and for her that is living life to the fullest. I think I know where she is coming from. I am 90% paralyzed on my left side. I had to build up my confidence by learning to ignore all the negative comments and all the teasing from people which included some professionals in the medical world. I learnt to do everything with one hand, I got a university degree and I am an avid square dancer. Just because you are disabled you don't have to sit behind the scenes and watch but you can learn to take part in activities that will not physically harm you and that's what I did.

@@caroljeanscott5571 Very true! The person I replied to is saying that in an attempt to discourage her, thats why I replied. Confidence is mental health, wearing what she wants is for her mental health, and mental health is a huge component of general health. I get where she's coming from too, I have hEDS and its been at a debilitating level for half of my lifetime. Learning to live how I wanted and to not listen to other people's comments and opinions was a huge part of getting me motivated to do the work to overcome it.

The thing about the tattoo freckles is, if you get COSMETIC freckle tattoos, the artist should use semi-permanent ink that absolutely fades. In addition, if your artist is doing the freckle tattoos correctly, beyond the initial few weeks of healing, they should look small, light, and more natural. By a year, most people won’t be able to tell they are tattoos at all because of the fading.
The video we saw… someone did her REAL dirty because they shouldn’t look like that EVER. Maybe too pigmented and red but NEVER that big.
Be sure your going to someone who knows what they are doing and USES THE RIGHT INK.

In regards to Asian women and plastic surgery, a lot of it is very heartbreaking. I have friends whose family are from pretty much every Asian country. My friend Diamond’s family is Vietnamese. She told me on more than one occasion that she wants to have plastic surgery to look beautiful and normal. I asked her what she meant by normal and she said not Asian. Diamond has bone structure that many women would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to have. Hell I’m jealous of her cheek bones myself. It took 2 years for 3 of her friends and her dad to convince her that is beautiful just as she is. She still has some issues with body/face dysmorphia. But she’s realizing that she is beautiful just being herself.

And anxiety/stress about health, overtime can still cause issues with physical health too. Try to remember this is why doctors are here, to make sure we are okay (this helps me anyway lol). Once in a while I contemplate the possibility of some form of plastic surgery, usually after I try on clothes in stores and get reminded, yet again, that I have really wide shoulders and not much boob to speak of. But then I also remember all those horror stories about botched procedures, and all those people who lose their lives chasing their dream of beauty and perfection… And in the end I either pick the clothes that do compliment my body shape and the parts of me that I am proud of showing off, or just make a mental note to myself to exercise so I could at least have better muscle definition instead of rolls. Oh and I’ve learned from experience that sizes on clothing labels do not define my worth in society, but a good tailor can do wonders for anyone :)

I have narrow shoulders and big boobs, and I hate them. They're heavy (I can feel the weight of them impact my neck), they get hot and sweaty underneath in summer, cold in winter.
Bras bite into my shoulders and stretch out of shape in a few weeks at best. I'm a keen gardener, so with all the bending down I do, they often just fall out my bra anyway. I've stopped wearing one when gardening since the pandemic, just too annoying and uncomfortable.
Stretch marks, spots develop underneath where it gets sweaty. Oh, and they were hell for sweatiness when I went through menopause, and hell for pain during my monthly cycle for over 40 years.
Believe me, if it was possible for me to swap boobs with someone who wanted to look and be treated like a Barbie doll, I'd have done it with no hesitation.
Take joy in your smaller, neater, comfortable, more convenient size, you don't know how lucky you really are.

I’m going to be 51 this year. I’ve never had anything done, not even a Botox injection. Then I’m seeing these videos of these early 20-somethings who are getting Botox and telling other girls their age they need to get it, too, so they don’t start showing signs of aging too quickly… Are they out of their MINDS?! I WISH I still had my 20 year old skin, when I looked like I was maybe 16! No Botox needed! And I must say, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments at almost 51 that I don’t look that old and they’re shocked I am. Now these girls getting Botox so young, they better know they’ll need to keep it up forever or they’re going to age horribly. Once they start, they can’t stop.

  • @eev14

I myself have lymphedema, it's mild in comparison but for me it was caused by a recurring bacterial skin infection to my leg (erysipelas), I was hospitalized for it 3 times of which twice were pretty close calls.. Considering I got out alive and didn't have to lose my leg (which was a real concern at one point) the lymphedema doesn't bother me that much.
But I do have to adjust my lifestyle quite a bit to prevent further swelling.

I hope that lovely lady with lymphedema finds lymphatic massage! I have a friend who had severe swelling just like that and I took her weekly to her appointments to get professional help with it. In combination with a compression stocking and a home vacuum pump she got get swelling down quite a bit over 6 months. Unfortunately she stopped after 8 months and it all came back and surprisingly quickly, too. It was admittedly a lot of work to do daily. Walking was so difficult for her with all the extra weight.

I said" be sure you plug them in or they could die". An elderly man says" hey, don't don't talk about is like that" in a distressed voice. I could barely hold it together when I told him I meant the IV's. 😂. Who would think that I was talking about them as a person??!!!! Good grief!

Medically, freckles are from sun damage. If you're born with them, they are actually a form of mole. I can't remember the medical terms, but it basically means flat mole. Most of the time, they are considered birthmarks.
Why do I know this? I have both.

I recently watched a report that children as young as 11 are getting plastic surgery in South Korea and Japan , in the hopes of becoming an idol. It pains me because their features aren’t even fully developed at that young age , what awful parents. I know it seems an attractive way to make money but so few actually debut as Artists or Actors and they are pushing their kids into life changing surgery.

7:05 I have hyper sensitive skin and am at a high risk of skin cancer/damages. Unsurprisingly, I have a lot of freckles. I've come to find them cute, but I used to be patronized for them in school. Seeing the wealthy people who probably would have picked on me turning around and getting pricey procedures to mimic freckles honestly irritates me. Stay in your own lane >:/
But also, if you have freckles, it's okay! You're wonderful the way you are and there isn't any shame in your little polka dots!

7:20 I have no idea what all this has had surgically done or how much of an impact the swelling and hairstyling have to to with things, but seeing her head reminds me that natural human skull shapes can vary so much.
Like, most infants with a skull abnormality wear a helmet with light pressure on protrusions and empty space over where they want the growth to occur more, so different skull shapes aren’t at all a common sight in the US.
Historically a lot of different groups around the world had different skull shapes desires, so wearing a tight headband or such was occasionally used to elongate skulls as a status symbol.

"Do you want to tattoo signs of sun damage on your skin?" Tattooing is a but much perhaps, but people tan to the point of giving themselves cancer to look "sun kissed," and that's widely accepted as beautiful. The tanning salon industry is worth 2.8 billion, self tanning is somewhere around 1.5 billion in just people wanting to look tanned....aka...*sun damaged.* You shouldn't be so incredulous that someone would find freckles (unavoidable for some people) beautiful.
