I was gonna say the exact same thing. Plastic surgery was created in order to fix people who had injuries
that destroyed their appearance. It wasn’t developed to try and enhance a person’s features. It should only be used to fix major life altering issues.

    • @pippadawg7037
      @pippadawg7037 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Boyso5407 Well that is ridiculous myopic, uneducated, illogical and ignorant argument. In its infancy plastic surgery grew from a desire to help those injured in war as well as babies born with birth defects. However it wasn't developed for any sole purpose like chewing gum or yo-yos and even if it were that doesn't necessitate that it can't have other applications. If a plastic surgery's scope was limited to " life altering" injuries would the level of correction be limited as well? Should plastic surgeons turn away a patient whose injuries or birth defect didn't rise to the level of "destroyed" or "life altering?" Who would be the judge of "life altering" and destroyed" and who would decide on the level of correction. Would you have a bureaucratic committee make that decision?

Snails! I nodded off under a tree in my family's backyard. I woke up to find a snail had crawled onto my forehead. He had a friend on my neck. I suppose I should have screamed. I was an 8 year old girl. But I love snails, so I took these two under my care and spent a few hours in the library leaning about them as pets. They thrived for two years before dying of old age. One of my most favorite childhood memories. ❤

Similar to the butt paste. When I was training horses all the time, being outdoors all day was really hard on my skin. I used sunblock, but the heat, cold, wind, dirt, dust from shavings, dander and hair, plus the lengths I had to go to to get all the dirt and sunscreen off every night, my skin was really dry. So I went to the horse people beauty supply shop, the feed store. I found some cream that's used for udders on dairy cows and goats, as well as nursing mares. Especially dairy animals get really dry and chafed skin on their udder. Udder balm worked wonders. It is loaded in moisturizers and some vitamins as well. You can also get a medicated one if the skin is cracking and starting to become infected. It slathers on pretty thick and sticky. So I would coat my face and hands in it every night, put on some cotton gloves, and a towel over my pillow to keep it on my hands and face instead of my sheets. Oh my god, it worked wonders. Dairy farmers know how to take care of skin, I'm telling you. That stuff was amazing. You have to look for the right one that's not petroleum based.

I can be out just long enough to get to my car from my apartment, and from car into whichever building I'm headed for.
Maybe that woman's skin is tougher than mine---I'm a latent redhead with very fair skin, and I sunburn within 15 minutes of stepping out into the sunlight---but her having had a melanoma removed means she has to be even more cautious than many people do. You took the bait on that dollar number part. If you befriended some accountant, store owner, or smart housewives, they knew it is a mere tricks. Had you kept a record of your mundance purchases, such as buying shampoo, food expenses, or electric bills like for a whole year or two, in total, you can see the total amount that went away. And it is big.. it can gave you a brand new hottest sports bike.. same goes with somebody else collection of shoes, of course they don't buy it all on one trip.
If you buy something worth of $35 (shoes) once in a while and maybe everytime you got your paycheck. You keep That habit of spending that amount, and in a span of a year, that accumulated total is $12,600 that you spend away... Of course you did not buy 360 units of cheap shoes, but that gave you the idea of accumulation.
A better way to put it is
      Initial Purchases:
You have 5 pairs of shoes at $35 each: 5×35=175
You bought 5 pairs of shoes at $200 each: 5×200=1,000
You have 8 pairs of shoes at $80 each: 8×80=640
Total Spending from Initial Purchases: 175+1,000+640=1,815 and you probably will rinse and repeat of doing that 20 times and it's total amount is $23,500 boom..
You still ended up with 232 pairs of shoes in your collection based on the accumulated spending of $23,500. 😂😂😂 That tiktoker may be making a lot of bs.. that shoes look like $200 each.. and all of that on screen look just about $1600 max!!
unless they bought $1000 designer or rare shoes each. Otherwise It is just a B.S out of thin air 😂

Kudos to the plastic surgeon who treated the young lady with the melanoma. He did an amazing job, and in the after shots she looks so cute and totally natural with a perfect hairline!
While I have nothing against people getting a little tweak here and there, but I love it when plastic surgeons are able to fix the aftermath of a medical condition or an accident. I myself had an incident--thanks to an over-enthusiastic puppy and an expanding leash--a few years back, in which my lower lip was completely sliced through, with the cut continuing another inch or so down toward my chin. It could have left me with a significant scar, but the plastic surgeon did such a amazing job that not only did I keep nearly all the muscle function, the scar is virtually invisisible. Bless that doctor!

I love watching your reaction and the advice you give to these TikTok videos. Some of the things that people do themselves in trying to enhance their looks is unbelievable in my personal opinion. That lady who had the melanoma was inspiring, and while she was being treated, her head looked weird, but she looked fantastic after the procedure. I agree with Dr, Youn, I think it is wonderful what plastic surgeons are able to do to restore a person's quality of life and looks. I really laugh at Dr. Youn's TikTok videos especially the ones where he is portraying hospital life and patients. I have been in the hospital quite a few times so I can relate to those funny clips. My sister and I have had skin cancers on our faces and scalps. We were summertime pool rats as kids and that carefree childhood caught up to us. I had a carcinoma the size of an eraser head removed with the Mohs procedure last year. It was not easy to find because I get melasma in the slightest sun.
It ended up needing an ENORMOUS margin, bigger than a half dollar, and they dug DEEP. I lost a melon ball sized chunk out of my face.
They did an excellent job, you can barely see the scar, and need to know where to look, but at the time, it was scary to hear "they need to take more, they didn't get it all" and get another jab of lidocaine or novocaine.
Without the Mohs procedure, I'd've had to go back for a second procedure for even larger margins.
Insist on Mohs (gold standard) or slo-Mohs at the very least. It could save your life!

I had to have the MOHS done last December for skin cancer removal on my nose, then my nose had to be reconstructed immediately after. I'd have a hard time saying MOHS is "the gold standard," but I'm sure it's better than the hideous procedures my father endured 57 years ago when skin cancer had to be removed multiple times from his nose. He suffered terribly for days after each procedure, in so much pain he could hardly bear it, yet still went to work every day.

No, they're a huge part of the problem, and absolutely no part of the solution. What the world needs isn't what it wants to hear, though, so I'm not going that.

Dr Youn, you are priceless!!! Your reactions and surprised faces make my day!! I get such a kick out of when you ask "What is that?" or some other similar question. I'm cracking up at "What has happened to society?" That is hilarious!!! I tell you, your reactions are more funny to me than the patients. You really do make my day!!! Thanx for the laffs!!!!

How is being barefoot and walking through literal toxins, animal excrement, germs...be detoxing! I am diabetic! Being barefoot and getting the slightest little tiny cut could literally cost me my foot, my leg or even my life!
