As a former noob, the first thing I did was get a horse and explore to the corners of the map with nothing but me and my horse while facing death via some sort of draconic monstrosity that was hiding in the bushes

@nakiangoderich3014 the caelid experience in a nut shell. Then you realize it’s one of the most useful places in the game and you’ll be coming back throughout your entire play through because you need that one thing or beat that one boss or complete that one quest.

using incantation or sorcery is not bad but being a mage is bad sometimes for some bosses that is fighting from range is better use for example most of invader ai is dumb and dont charge to you use magic defeat him as fast asf and countinue your game

You forgot the pure dex builders, the dragonkin (people who beat the game with weapons and spells you get from killing dragons), the Runefarmers, and most importantly the PvPers
I'm also going to replay to see the other endings, the lore this game has can be sometimes annoying to navigate because there's no continuous mapping but yeah, it's perfect.
I think you left out the Min-Maxers, the mfs like myself who waste their life calculating every extent of a build to make sure it kicks ass in some way, whether that’s lore or damage lol

You're missing one type. The story players. Those who explore every game for the story. They jump around games like they have a metaphysical springboard strapped to their ass. Trying to get a story. Going from kingdom hearts to borderlands to telltale lto souls borne. No stopping until every bit of dialogue every item description every bit of scenery is catalogues.
@@ErikWithBrain Elenora's Poleblade carried me throughout my first playthrough & it was so fun, the cherry on top was that it's tied to Yura's quest which is one of my favorite npc's just cause his personality, armor & even his voice are so damn cool (Felt obligated to murder Shabriri after seeing him wear homies skin like a mf coat)
@@UnrealEggo it's the best twinblade for a reason. Good call, too. It took me 'til my DLC character reroll to just kill Shabriri outright. Yura's voice acting on point and has my favorite armor + cape.
Noob here (who didn’t even really know fromsoft existed), my single greatest gaming achievement is beating Godfrey first try and in the most cinematic way possible. With no flasks, buffs, and roughly 10HP, My mimic tear, Pablo, sacrificed his own life to get in between me and Gramp’s WWE grabbing move so I could get the final hit, taking him down first try. (I am still shaking in disbelief and it’s been 2 years)
Pablo will go down in the collective history of the souls community as the bravest mimic to ever be summoned. I will carry his story, and tell it around my fires
My best moment in the game was beating the scadutree avatar after I died, my mimic which I haven’t named yet but I shall name him mentalee chalenjd, the mf has three phases, it had a few hundred hp left and ig my mimic either did a heavy attack or lions clawed it. Omg I was so happy when he killed that damned thing.
I am a hoarder, that is my archetype, I feel a burning desire to pick up every item and get every weapon and spell I can possibly get, it is an obsession…
I would add one more type of Elden Ring players, The Gamer, the guy that knows that it's gonna be hard but won't rage like a weak Noob would, he's not as good as a pro and uses everything to beat the boss and they most likely simp for Ranni and Melina only.
Then there is my ass: new character, play and kill godrick with ink first 1 hour. Not know what to do now because the actual build and/or weapons I want to try are locked behind another 2/4-3/4 for the rest of the game, end up with random weapon that you keep leveled low tell you get the weapon you want. Never get the weapon cuz you either find a different one or once you get it it feels off. End up with entirely different build.
I’ve used 6 larval tears so far, so I know the pain my dude 💀 I tried to make the dragon’s claw weapon work and boy was that a huge mistake, then I tried to make the Sword of Night and Flame work and that was meh, then I tried to make the Longsword work and realized I needed to farm for 63 hours getting normal smithing stones, then just picked up Moonveil and got to the crumbling faram azula and switched on to a great sword for the end of the game. Kept changing my build almost every boss fight to what I knew I could cheese a boss with. And now I’m a mage 💀
@@OreOscar yeah, so far I started out with the buckler and sword of st Trina, then I’m trying to switch into a battle mage, so I have the carain blade staff and the godskin peeler. Entirely what I want is the snake bone blade and the dragon kin katana to dual wield.
I was rooting for God of War to win GOTY but I'm fine with Elden Ring winning. Quantum on the other hand woke up and chose violence. Don't be like Quantum.

I’m the noob, but I accept I’m bad at the game at all times no matter how good I become. I learn from my mistakes, when I die to a tough boss, I question did I attack at the right time or not, or i miss my roll. I just think what to do better every time i die to a boss, plus I got 60 dex, bloodhound Fang +9, And the Lord of Blood tailsman, plus Golden Vow, Flame grant me strengt, Bloodflame Blade. I know the best rune farm. I can do a 1000 damage per hit, and I’m on my way to beat morgott the king.
I was wearing the wizard head ones bcs of 2 reasons. 1 it had better stats then any other item in my inventory. And 2 it looks like the burger King mascot. lol

I played Dark Souls 3 first and after that Bloodborne and then Elden Ring and even tho i like everything about Elden Ring, I'm still a Bloodborne fan and a Strength Build forever. Can't do anything then Strength i did it in DS3 Bloodborne and Elden Ring. I'm not good but also not bad
small time challenge runner here for Elden Ring RL1, I really hate my life sometimes but I require bragging rights. Not many people can say they beat difficult bosses on RL1. That’s right bitches, I beat Soldier of Godrick hitless at RL1, I’m practically ready for the DLC 😀

@@OreOscar yep,you can know because they 1: Don't skip the phase transition and 2: you can see the intro before the fight. And they don't skip any part of it. And with malenia, they get one shot by her titled spin double hit that she does on every first try. Like it's fine and all. I'm here 100% for the boss fights. I'm guessing for them online play is the game and the challenge.

The reason it took us longer on the first bosses is cause we didnt have any experience and now we are better at the game so we can predict attacks and stuff
I fit multiple of these but I love modding. Don’t use anything crazy right now but I use seemless coop, with both better coop and online invasions than the base game, fps unlocker with a very smooth game, and a basic lighting changer which doesn’t effect the visuals and heavily boosts performance. Once I beat the game offline and based game again is a solo and coop then I plan to try reforged and convergence. Reforged offers base game + many new mechanics that make the game a lot cooler. Game is a masterpiece as it is, if it was a milkshake then mods would be the cherries and whipped cream.
I am the Souls noob. Played Bloodborne for the first time 2 months ago and I’ve gone on a Souls binge ever since. Def raged a few times but I’m addicted now.
Ill be real, I was a complete noob to souls games and elden ring. And Ill be honest: Initially I hated the game and complained about everything. And then I eventually got into it and kinda loved it... but man I fucking hated player staggers. So i became a modder, downloaded a mod that fixed that by allowing me to end staggers BEFORE the boss hits the second oneshotting attack on my staggered ass and suddenly the game is the most enjoyable thing I have ever seen. Who knows, once im done with the game ill play it on regular with the bullshit stagger and horrible input queuing system, who knows. Elden ring is great. But im also great the modding community exists because otherwise I would have probably dropped the game again. Also jesus was a carpenter, jesus was a STR/Faith user, Jesus was THE man.
So I’m the Noob , and honestly prior to Elden Rings I hated souls like it was just a concept I couldn’t get behind. But I love Elden Ring it’s addicting to grind and beat the fuck out of enemies
I like how in the whole video there's not even a simgle mention of PvP and we are just gonna disregard all of insanely skilled and talented people, who actually do more than just memorise boss moves.
Noob, hater, modder, STR only yea that about sums my experience up. New to souls likes, took me 4 playthrough attempts until i installed the first person mod and am now at the mountain of giants, halberd and greatshield finding the game so overrated 90 hours into the playthrough.
@@OreOscar There are a bunch of parts of the game I feel are just not designed well enough or don't really make sense. Graphics overall are great but when playing and looking around the immediate vicinity, there's lack of detail in the environment and there's a weird lack of shadows for a lot of things making it look flat. And certain areas straight up look unfinished, like back areas of some legacy dungeons. The reuse of enemies is a common issue for many and it really feels off when major bosses are at times just reused as side bosses if not as basic enemies, like morgott in the battlefield around leyndell I also find it kind of annoying that majority of weapons you receive are their base level, because for most of the game it just means you can't use it effectively until you stop what you're doing and go upgrade it. A lot of the quests in the game also feel really vague and almost impossible to know what the next step might even be without looking up on the wiki. Leaving you to rely on dumb chance that you'll come across the necessary npcs as you explore. It's a good game and I'm having lots of fun with it, but I struggle to see it as a masterpiece or "revolutionary" as some people say. Because at the end of the day it's kind of just dark souls 3 reskin with a depressing open world. I'd give it 8/10
Im an Int/End build. I use Ranni's Dark moon to do literally what it does, then I rush in with the dual Dark Moon Greatswords after charging them up. I also carry on me the carian sorcery sword and the carian shield you can stab people with, and I wear all of the solitude armor. I also use 2 or 3 drake talismans +3, 3rd one depending on situation. My 4th will always be double turtle neck taliman, with 3rd optional without drake talismans being viridian amber medallion +3. I also like to fight fair when fighting invaders. I hate spell spammers, which is why I refrain from it. I love all elden ring players, even though I always use Int, no matter what. Never leveled in faith, though.
as a noob, i'm never ever play soul's series before. i chose mage and follow my husband instruction and only play with him. spamming glintstonecomet (?) from a far while my husband strugling as my tank and fighter. when we finish the elden ring and got all the ending, he stop play elden ring and move to other game, while i try play NG+ alone, trying use bloodhound step on Uchigatana as my main attack and mimic as helper. ofcourse i have to level up to 300 first 😅😂

Alr bud i was indeed a noob, it was my first from software game. Usually I stick to anything that's competitive fps like apex, ow2, valo, CS2 and stuff so 2 years back when the game came out my classmates peer pressured me to buy the game and honestly I sucked, nothing about the game made sense to me but after 200 hours of gameplay and now after the dlc came out I'm still playing the game again and again, and after i completed the base game a few times, I tried out sekiro, demon souls, dark souls 3, i couldn't get 1 and 2 sadly

One more category: The "RP'rs" or in laymans terms, the people that make 10 different characters, only so that they can have a pure RP character with the appropriate spells/weapons/armor for every choice. Total nerds! And I am certainly not dual playing/lvling up my own "paladin" and "black flame assasin stealth ninja" atm....No sir, certainly not.... ;p And I will definitly not likely make a whole new character when there will without a doubt be more weapons and spells in the DLC that does not fit with my current characters.....
At least this noob mage didn't have to call in the boys AND killed all the bosses on my first attempt (except maliketh - 3 tries and commander o'neil - numerous tries because I was scared of rot and suck at mounted combat😂). Yeah, that's right. This noob mage beat Mohg and Malenia on my first attempt. Rock sling rocks! 😂 Stick that in your juice box and suck it.
This video started out with a lot of bad hot takes, kind of feeds into the same immaturity of the rest of the gaming community and doesn't really counter it. Great game, but this was kind of uncomfortable to watch.
First playthrough of a Fromsoft or honestly any souls like is always STR focused Big A** Giant Swords need I say more? Though often augmented with something else. That said you missed one/two categories “The Farmer” I’m usually at least a little over leveled for a boss/area unless I’m doing a challenge run and potential secret class “The Collector (Hoarder)” wants a least one of every single item in the game and two of each weapon to power stance it.

Us runefarmers are the true smartasses of the players. Why spend 6 hours trying to defeat Margit when I can go down to Caelid on horse back for a few hours and watch radahn soldiers and Dinodogs kill each other and in the process get their runes? ... Then level up to 40th...

I was the talented noob, first souls game and my friend gaslit me into thinking i had to actually kill the tree sentinel to progress With no levels and just an axe i beat it in 4 tries and my elden ring addiction was set in stone Then i progressed to strength only

Why should I use weapons when all the cool katanas and spears are weak af?I'll just stick to my dragon incantations that require braincells to choose the perfect moment to attack so that you don't get one shoted and I also beat the game with meele but they're not for me

I’m here to have fun and enjoy a challenge that does not mean I want to get a headache fighting a boss so if I can’t do it or I just doesn’t seem possible at the time then I summon my black knife fella when the world is grim in know tiche got my back
i was a noob, now have 400 hours and am on ng+5, still rage every death for the most part. i just use builds to negate death as much as possible and use all the tools at my disposal. sadly im not a fan of other games because i love the builds and variety of elden ring as well as the open world, i LOVE the lore of dark souls and bloodborne but i dont enjoy the slower combat. i also despise sekiro because i have a burning systematic hatred of parrying in general engrained into me from devil may cry (a franchise i played every game of and now hate) elden ring is the only souls game for me, but i adore it. except for metyr and borealis, those 2 bosses actually make me seethe. it took me 2 more tries to beat metyr than it took me to beat the final dlc boss, 4 for final boss and 6 for metyr. and the 4 tries on the final boss were productive and strategy defining, my tries on metyr only ended because of luck and i genuinely hate that boss.
I guess i am that type of player known as the "Souls Junkie". In my close to 1000 hours in Dark Souls 3 with many challenge and speedruns, i am kinda every single one of those stereotypes besides of the hater. I played mods, i made mods, i did entire 4 player Coop runs with friends, ive beaten DS3 with staff melee attacks only without using FP, i played hours of invasions, i am currently cutting the first video of a TH-cam video on an diffrent channel, i played sorcery related mods like Convergence more than once. I am a lore enjoyer too. I cant even write something like this here without it feeling like i am just bragging, which i really dont want to. I really just love playing these games and like talking about what you can do with these games after enough time spend. Wish everyone fun with Elden Ring AND the older games :)

Ngl man strength builds are the most fun in my opinion. But unfortunately I can't be pure strength all the time because some big weapons have ridiculous requirements (22 dexterity and 20 faith to use the godslayer greatsword is crazy)
Im the pro but without the cheesing part i literally dont know 90% of cheeses in the game... And all i have to say is that armour is only for drip and the optimal way to play is naked with only a ridiculous helmet and whatever weapon you feel like at the time
I'm a grifter noob, I don't know how to glitch stuff or call for help so I just run around, lvl 65 currently but didn't try Margit yet, lol. I mixed up my talents so I'm weak af, gonna try to cheese the moon queen boss to get a respec lol
I haven’t found a cheese for her yet except using the mimic but that’s only obtainable after the Radahn, what I’d do is go craft some sleep pots and beat the godskin apostle in the caelid tower for 100k runes then spec into something specific so you can beat her. Also the weapon you get after beating him is crazy good.

Noob here (who didn’t even really know fromsoft existed), my single greatest gaming achievement is beating Godfrey first try and in the most cinematic way possible. With no flasks, buffs, and roughly 10HP, My mimic tear, Pablo, sacrificed his own life to get in between me and Gramp’s WWE grabbing move so I could get the final hit, taking him down first try. (I am still shaking in disbelief and it’s been 2 years)
Pablo will go down in the collective history of the souls community as the bravest mimic to ever be summoned. I will carry his story, and tell it around my fires
His sacrifice will be remembered dearly, along with Fartbuckle
My best moment in the game was beating the scadutree avatar after I died, my mimic which I haven’t named yet but I shall name him mentalee chalenjd, the mf has three phases, it had a few hundred hp left and ig my mimic either did a heavy attack or lions clawed it. Omg I was so happy when he killed that damned thing.
I am a hoarder, that is my archetype, I feel a burning desire to pick up every item and get every weapon and spell I can possibly get, it is an obsession…

I would add one more type of Elden Ring players, The Gamer, the guy that knows that it's gonna be hard but won't rage like a weak Noob would, he's not as good as a pro and uses everything to beat the boss and they most likely simp for Ranni and Melina only.
Then there is my ass: new character, play and kill godrick with ink first 1 hour. Not know what to do now because the actual build and/or weapons I want to try are locked behind another 2/4-3/4 for the rest of the game, end up with random weapon that you keep leveled low tell you get the weapon you want. Never get the weapon cuz you either find a different one or once you get it it feels off. End up with entirely different build.
I’ve used 6 larval tears so far, so I know the pain my dude 💀
I tried to make the dragon’s claw weapon work and boy was that a huge mistake, then I tried to make the Sword of Night and Flame work and that was meh, then I tried to make the Longsword work and realized I needed to farm for 63 hours getting normal smithing stones, then just picked up Moonveil and got to the crumbling faram azula and switched on to a great sword for the end of the game. Kept changing my build almost every boss fight to what I knew I could cheese a boss with.
And now I’m a mage 💀
@@OreOscar yeah, so far I started out with the buckler and sword of st Trina, then I’m trying to switch into a battle mage, so I have the carain blade staff and the godskin peeler. Entirely what I want is the snake bone blade and the dragon kin katana to dual wield.

I’m the noob, but I accept I’m bad at the game at all times no matter how good I become. I learn from my mistakes, when I die to a tough boss, I question did I attack at the right time or not, or i miss my roll. I just think what to do better every time i die to a boss, plus I got 60 dex, bloodhound Fang +9, And the Lord of Blood tailsman, plus Golden Vow, Flame grant me strengt, Bloodflame Blade. I know the best rune farm. I can do a 1000 damage per hit, and I’m on my way to beat morgott the king.
I was wearing the wizard head ones bcs of 2 reasons. 1 it had better stats then any other item in my inventory. And 2 it looks like the burger King mascot. lol

I played Dark Souls 3 first and after that Bloodborne and then Elden Ring and even tho i like everything about Elden Ring, I'm still a Bloodborne fan and a Strength Build forever. Can't do anything then Strength i did it in DS3 Bloodborne and Elden Ring.

And with malenia, they get one shot by her titled spin double hit that she does on every first try.

The reason it took us longer on the first bosses is cause we didnt have any experience and now we are better at the game so we can predict attacks and stuff

I fit multiple of these but I love modding. Don’t use anything crazy right now but I use seemless coop, with both better coop and online invasions than the base game, fps unlocker with a very smooth game, and a basic lighting changer which doesn’t effect the visuals and heavily boosts performance. Once I beat the game offline and based game again is a solo and coop then I plan to try reforged and convergence. Reforged offers base game + many new mechanics that make the game a lot cooler. Game is a masterpiece as it is, if it was a milkshake then mods would be the cherries and whipped cream.
I am the Souls noob. Played Bloodborne for the first time 2 months ago and I’ve gone on a Souls binge ever since. Def raged a few times but I’m addicted now.
Ill be real, I was a complete noob to souls games and elden ring. And Ill be honest: Initially I hated the game and complained about everything. And then I eventually got into it and kinda loved it... but man I fucking hated player staggers. So i became a modder, downloaded a mod that fixed that by allowing me to end staggers BEFORE the boss hits the second oneshotting attack on my staggered ass and suddenly the game is the most enjoyable thing I have ever seen. Who knows, once im done with the game ill play it on regular with the bullshit stagger and horrible input queuing system, who knows. Elden ring is great. But im also great the modding community exists because otherwise I would have probably dropped the game again.
Also jesus was a carpenter, jesus was a STR/Faith user, Jesus was THE man.
So I’m the Noob , and honestly prior to Elden Rings I hated souls like it was just a concept I couldn’t get behind. But I love Elden Ring it’s addicting to grind and beat the fuck out of enemies
I like how in the whole video there's not even a simgle mention of PvP and we are just gonna disregard all of insanely skilled and talented people, who actually do more than just memorise boss moves.

New to souls likes, took me 4 playthrough attempts until i installed the first person mod and am now at the mountain of giants, halberd and greatshield
finding the game so overrated 90 hours into the playthrough.

There are a bunch of parts of the game I feel are just not designed well enough or don't really make sense.
Graphics overall are great but when playing and looking around the immediate vicinity, there's lack of detail in the environment and there's a weird lack of shadows for a lot of things making it look flat.
And certain areas straight up look unfinished, like back areas of some legacy dungeons.
The reuse of enemies is a common issue for many and it really feels off when major bosses are at times just reused as side bosses if not as basic enemies, like morgott in the battlefield around leyndell
I also find it kind of annoying that majority of weapons you receive are their base level, because for most of the game it just means you can't use it effectively until you stop what you're doing and go upgrade it.
A lot of the quests in the game also feel really vague and almost impossible to know what the next step might even be without looking up on the wiki. Leaving you to rely on dumb chance that you'll come across the necessary npcs as you explore.
It's a good game and I'm having lots of fun with it, but I struggle to see it as a masterpiece or "revolutionary" as some people say. Because at the end of the day it's kind of just dark souls 3 reskin with a depressing open world.

Im an Int/End build. I use Ranni's Dark moon to do literally what it does, then I rush in with the dual Dark Moon Greatswords after charging them up. I also carry on me the carian sorcery sword and the carian shield you can stab people with, and I wear all of the solitude armor. I also use 2 or 3 drake talismans +3, 3rd one depending on situation. My 4th will always be double turtle neck taliman, with 3rd optional without drake talismans being viridian amber medallion +3. I also like to fight fair when fighting invaders. I hate spell spammers, which is why I refrain from it. I love all elden ring players, even though I always use Int, no matter what. Never leveled in faith, though.
as a noob, i'm never ever play soul's series before. i chose mage and follow my husband instruction and only play with him. spamming glintstonecomet (?) from a far while my husband strugling as my tank and fighter. when we finish the elden ring and got all the ending, he stop play elden ring and move to other game, while i try play NG+ alone, trying use bloodhound step on Uchigatana as my main attack and mimic as helper. ofcourse i have to level up to 300 first 😅😂

Alr bud i was indeed a noob, it was my first from software game. Usually I stick to anything that's competitive fps like apex, ow2, valo, CS2 and stuff so 2 years back when the game came out my classmates peer pressured me to buy the game and honestly I sucked, nothing about the game made sense to me but after 200 hours of gameplay and now after the dlc came out I'm still playing the game again and again, and after i completed the base game a few times, I tried out sekiro, demon souls, dark souls 3, i couldn't get 1 and 2 sadly

First playthrough of a Fromsoft or honestly any souls like is always STR focused Big A** Giant Swords need I say more? Though often augmented with something else.
That said you missed one/two categories “The Farmer” I’m usually at least a little over leveled for a boss/area unless I’m doing a challenge run and potential secret class “The Collector (Hoarder)” wants a least one of every single item in the game and two of each weapon to power stance it.

i was a noob, now have 400 hours and am on ng+5, still rage every death for the most part. i just use builds to negate death as much as possible and use all the tools at my disposal.
sadly im not a fan of other games because i love the builds and variety of elden ring as well as the open world, i LOVE the lore of dark souls and bloodborne but i dont enjoy the slower combat.
i also despise sekiro because i have a burning systematic hatred of parrying in general engrained into me from devil may cry (a franchise i played every game of and now hate)
elden ring is the only souls game for me, but i adore it. except for metyr and borealis, those 2 bosses actually make me seethe. it took me 2 more tries to beat metyr than it took me to beat the final dlc boss, 4 for final boss and 6 for metyr. and the 4 tries on the final boss were productive and strategy defining, my tries on metyr only ended because of luck and i genuinely hate that boss.

I guess i am that type of player known as the "Souls Junkie". In my close to 1000 hours in Dark Souls 3 with many challenge and speedruns, i am kinda every single one of those stereotypes besides of the hater. I played mods, i made mods, i did entire 4 player Coop runs with friends, ive beaten DS3 with staff melee attacks only without using FP, i played hours of invasions, i am currently cutting the first video of a TH-cam video on an diffrent channel, i played sorcery related mods like Convergence more than once. I am a lore enjoyer too. I cant even write something like this here without it feeling like i am just bragging, which i really dont want to. I really just love playing these games and like talking about what you can do with these games after enough time spend. Wish everyone fun with Elden Ring AND the older games :)

I haven’t found a cheese for her yet except using the mimic but that’s only obtainable after the Radahn, what I’d do is go craft some sleep pots and beat the godskin apostle in the caelid tower for 100k runes then spec into something specific so you can beat her.
Also the weapon you get after beating him is crazy good.
