@@StefanHugi I think the most influence to the sound comes from the combination mouthpiece with Reed and overall the player. Your setup is good and you need nothing more.
Some nice playing and a real good sound, pitch just a little out here and there but that's probably the horn. Those old C melodys are interesting horns and nice to see some recent interest in them.
I like the horn. Whats the MP ? . I am playing a Chinese recreation C Tenor with an LA Gold Tenor MP and the intonation is almost correct except for Middle D being a touch sharp. I can hear you working the tuning with this nice piece at times. I also dropped a champagne cork down the bell and it stop any burbles in the low notes C B Bb. An old timer told me they used to drop a match box down the bell 60 years ago, well old tricks never die do they,
The song is part of my play along project "take 3 hugi steps to take a huge step". It is the second step to the way of "Affirmation". Maybe some day the project will be finished.................
Well played and a modern sound on this old horn. That's nice. I play a Buescher. Greatings from Germany.
Thanks a lot. You are lucky, the Buescher is much better than the King

formidable sonoritee tres proche du tenor avec l avantage de presque un saxo alto pour la grosseur et le poids j ai egalement un king de 1922
Nice sound.
I now have this sax lol but Tenor and Alto MPC work on it fine
Only C Melody mouthpieces will work
I see you have played several c melodies. Do you have any favorites? If so why? Thanks for doing such great videos
What mouthpiece are you using the Sax?
Sound beautiful, congratulations!

Thank you. It takes a lot of practice, too much for me
@@StefanHugi No problem of pitch at all for me, your playing is full of soul, thank you for sharing!

It is a C- Melody mouthpiece.
Stefan Hugi I have the same horn and was wondering if the C-Melody mouthpiece is new or an old vintage mouthpiece?
Thanks
agnus brown It is new. www.hugjazz.ch/C_Melody_Saxophone_mouthpieces.html
Hi, I'm interested in buying a C-melody conn, but I'm worried that reeds are going to be hard to come by, what kind of reeds are you using ?
Tenor reeds, Morgan C- mouthpiece
hello what reed and mouthpiece are you using? thank you!
nice. what mouth piece are you using there ?
PS: Whats the song ?

Roger Hogg Affirmation. George Benson has a very famous version of this one..
is Mr Bean!
Sounds more like an alto.
Definitely sounds much closer to a tenor. Makes sense as the tenor is pitched just a tone lower and the alto is a minor third higher.
@@markhiggins8315 i know - you would think so - but on a second listen i now think it about right in the middle.

The King is my favorite because the sound is clear and modern in a way.
