At the beginning of the peace, it is like a conversation between the two characters. Later, when the same theme comes back, you will notice that it is only flute. Lol I play the flute and piccolo (but is the only flute that can play the piccolo well, so I'm the piccolo solo), but sometimes I wish I was the flute part because most of our flutes suck XD hopefully they get better before our band competition

Hi Randall! I remember playing this piece as the flute soloist for our 2023 UIL last year and I can say that the feeling of you just playing and miced up is pretty nerve wracking but awesome! I really loved this piece especially my solo part. Now here I am, almost a year later, making 1st chair in the all-region band!

This is helping me lol, I got volunteered to start learning the piccolo this week so I can play at our highschool graduation this Monday. We played as a full band today and I missed all my cues because I never got the chance to fully listen to this song and know when I come in. So I’m currently sitting in an empty band room fingering along

It’s honestly killer and I think we would had a chance but we only have two percussionists (me and somebody else) and by mine guessing, there is many percussionists parts in it. I hope we can play in high school but if not, I still love this piece.
We played this my freshman year in high school, i played flute and it was so much fun to play, and although I didn't play the solos I must say that this song holds a special place in my heart, not because it's fun to play (although that is part of it) but rather because once you look at the backstory of this song and tie it in with the actual song itself, you realize just how beautiful this song is and the significance of it
