I loved watching until the 2nd tree site. Moly Moly I have vertigo bad…. the disclaimers in the rain on the edge of the cliff with the chainsaw 😳😳😳 that half dead oak in a rock ❤️
i finally saw an olive at the garden store here but it was a big twig about 2 meters tall pencil thin and they wanted $100 for it so i might need to look at other options. I get so jealous when i see what you collect out there!
Hey Connor, Christies Creek at the end of Sunningdale Drive. Theres a creek at the bottom of the road. On the far side of the creek george theres some nice specimens underneath the old massive original olives. Cheers
Another amazing video. Love the landscape, the cliffs and green hills dotted with olive trees, just wonderful. The beautiful and varied nature of OZ and NZ is something I really want to revisit. Cheers!
Heart break on the first tree. The time-lapse of dragging the second tree was excellent and really showed how far down that cliff was. I'd love an olive like even the small one you collected but certainly can't just find them popping out of the countryside here in Canada. One day maybe.
Great vid. Amazing climate there for developing olives. Planter banter, nice channel! Hope the channel does as well as yours. Fortunate to have these young olives there. Olives in North Africa are thousands of years old. Pretty awesome walking with them in the fields. Planted by the Romans. Just unbelievable. A few mining jobs over in Aus. I'm pretty good at assaying precious metals, but unlikely to get the jobs :( Not near you guys but still, Aus looks like a nice place to live and close to a British mentality... Kind of more Scottish though. In England, the population density is high, not like Aus. Scotland, wow. Low density and the same earthy and community spirit! Sack England ha ha ha!
@@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke Indeed. Need water and trees inland in Aus to expand. Dont let anyone in though mate! The British Isles made a big mistake that way. Neom in Saudi has some promising ideas on free desert irrigation, easy to use solar distillation domes. Very cool enginerding. Let's see what happens there. They are pushing water at least 170km into the desert (27,000sq. kilometers) there. Hopefully reforesting. After that, they the rain will manage itself and soil will build.
Sir. Will any part of the First Tree be Free again? Please be more careful on these Olive Trees? You are a Very Lucky man to get to take those Olive Trees. Here in the States we have to Pay Two Arms and one Leg for those Trees. Please take Great Care of Our Lord’s trees .
The rest of the tree will survive but not for long as the council are poisoning them. Not sure why because I believe any type of tree is better than no trees. Agree with everything you have said 🙂
You guys are awsome. Great video. As far as re rooting that large olive, do you need any rooting hormone? I wish I could be out with ya crackin a beer. Love you bonsai bloak!

Normally more roots the better but not with olives mate. I chainsaw the onion bulb off the bottom to leave a flat cut bottom. They have almost 100 percent success and can go straight into a shallow grow container 😀😀
Beautiful place my new friend it's a big bonsai materials God bless my friend
Beautiful place and a great fun day. Cheers 😀
What a great looking old Olive tree. Thanks for sharing that.

Just glad you trying to save them. Next time when you use Root Hormone Powder add sphagnum moss to the Roots. God Bless and be Safe
Legendary effort Ive been getting plenty of olives sent over to Melbourne from SA life long projects
Very good
Cheers mate
Man what a wild find! How long did the second one take to get out?
It actually wasn’t too bad, I reckon no longer than 20-30 minutes. The tap root wasn’t that difficulty to get through
@@planterbanter that’s surprising cause she looked like a beast!
Your channel should have more views. You make great bonsai
Would you advise to collect wild olive in summer ?
Olive trees are an invasive weed but the best bonsai. I wonder if you could resurrect any part of the first one two tree.
Buenas en que estación lo sacaste

Que chulo👍👍👍👍
Nice tree, definitely worth risking death for! Way better than the first one, lucky that one snapped and led you to find this one I reckon.
Ha ha agreed. Blessing in desgise

Not a normal thing I do as boxing them is a pain and posting Costs are huge 🤑

Aussie Dave here Sam, what an awesome effort 😁. Hope we get an update on the survival of the olive tree
Will do mate. Fingers are crossed😀

good work you blokes

I'd plant atleast 2 native trees where I collect mine from
I've planted 1500 natives at home so I can dig a lifetime of olives 😉
@@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke Oh cool!
