I bet that the bottom root that you cut off would make a nice bonsai display table with a little work to it and some good wood sealer to preserve it. With your talent, I bet you could make one out of that lump.
Weird... You got out of the wrong side of the truck...LOL That's not how we do it in Canada! :D Sounds like it's running great.... Cough...Sputter... That is CRAZY that those trees just come back from that so easy! And... Glad your family came to check on you after you fell over there.... Haha! Nut Ball...
Good luck with the new additions Sam. I’m laughing that you call that second tree a “cutting”. You guys really do things larger than life down under. I love it.
As they say go big or go home lol , great job , I had pipes put in and had some camellias cut down so I’m trying the large branch cuttings in sand to see if they will root for me , fingers crossed don’t know if this will work on this type of tree but just given it ago , cheers , awesome video Bloke.
How about making a dolly for the bigger pots. Pot on dolly, wheels to help you roll into the growing area and then lock the wheels and slide the pot off. I bet you could make a small ramp on the dolly to help with the load and unload.
I wonder if you could make a fiberglass cast of a slate slab to use for a planter. Would be a lot lighter than any ceramic pot, and be another DIY project to sink your teeth into! A very exciting tree to watch grow in the next years.
There's some great videos of people making cement bonsai pots in Vietnam. They use damp sand mounded and packed and form the pot out of cement around the sand. I dare you to try it! I'd watch it!
Hello Sam from Lakeland Florida. At minute 26 I noticed that those two lower smaller branches could be taking off to make the tree better. The one pointing out and the one Bellow on the right. If you want, iam just saying. But great tree.
Btw, I always try to post multiple times on your videos because I truly think your channel is underrated and I can only like once so I post extra stuff hoping it somehow will help grow your channel!
I hope they both make it and can you give Us a week to week date on these Two Olive Trees for us? Do you add any Root Powder to help make more Roots? Thanks
Ive seen someone use wheeled trolleys from Bunnings to move furniture. Maybe they would work for you. Or pinch the kids skateboard! Maybe not....Ive just watched the end where you pulled it across the grass.....🤭
"all the way to the ballsack" 😆 classic. Great video too 👍🏼
Its the classic ancient yamidori story, finding a tree on a precarious cliff edge, and risking it all. Great work.
Ha ha very Romantic and memorable 😀

Great idea mate. Just have to learn how but that's half the fun. 😀
Un árbol realmente precioso. Planta esas maravillosas raíces como si fueran esquejes. Brotaran muy bien
Cheers mate
I've found potting mix is better than a standard bonsai soil for some of my trees. Particularly my citrus are much more robust in potting soil.

Maybe mate 🤔🤔🍻
The way you are leaving this tree it's definitely going to be a smaller version of the ancient trees from the Mediterranean areas
The indestructible olive tree.

Cheers mate and thanks for the tips. For now I'll just sit back and study it but Def take into consideration 😀

Was the pot a pond tub used from bunnings?
I believe that tub was from cheap as chips. Back a few years ogo the only charged 15 each for them.
Sam, nice trees.
Cheers mate 😀

Cheers mate
Wy do you flatcut the root
What happened to the other chunks. I reckon they could have made some nice pieces too?
Only one chunk cut off when home but threw away. I have soo many olives.
Great looking tree. Were there drainage holes in the pot?
Thanks mate. Yeh lots of holes😀
Nioce one bloke! Can we nickname the olive cutting “LazyBoy”? 😜
Ha ha yeh go for it bloke 🤣
Crazy.
How many olives do you have now?
Ha ha too many. Maybe 20 or so🤣 about a sixth of all my trees😉
@@SamDoeckeAussiebonsaibloke I take they are a weed in your area. Unfortunately there are none in the wild around me.

Hi Sam, your left taillight, on your pickup truck, is white instead of red. We don't want the cops giving you a ticket...
