I find this game to be really bittersweet. Even if you fail, which is a reality for many people, you can still stand up and not lose hope. I also love how the dev added so many supernatural elements (the dog one was my favorite hahah) Lovely game. Had a lot of scary and psychological horror elements which I really, really love. Great Job to the dev 💖
This Dev (Chilla’s Art) has made some of the highest quality and most legitimately scary games in recent history. I’m personally curious to see if this dev’s going to release some kind of magnum opus game that changes the face of horror, similar to how games like Slender, Amnesia or Outlast did.
@woooudo those games might be stupid but that wasn't what he said. "Changed the face of horror games" was his words. I think Slender is a horrible game, but everyone tried to clone it thereafter. Those games took the genre in a new direction.
@woooudo I never liked Amnesia either, but it was hugely successful and a lot of people did. It was the epitome of all atmosphere and no gameplay, and back when it came out that was more of a novelty. Since then such games are a dime a dozen. But the problem with being a trendsetter is you often get retroactively lumped in with the trend.
Thank you Alpha Beta Gamer for not putting commentary in these videos. It makes things more better and peaceful. Hearing someone screaming or talking through certain parts is annoying as hell. So thank you for that. I appreciate it. Oh and this game reminds me of SIREN. I love that damn game

Just a typical media example of Japanese using English words to look cool, yet not quite knowing the words. Lol. Honestly, it makes it feel more like Japan, which is fine by me.
How is she gonna be able to explain all this to the police? "Okay, so first I gave the snacks to the random kid and she gave me the dog food, and THEN the dog dug up a box with a note in it--honestly, this is pretty standard investigation stuff..."
I don’t think it’s a mistranslation. I think it’s just a joke that the old man is in such a strange situation of working poorly for a chore he’s severely underpaid for.
I love these games, hope the dev keeps making new stuff. The creepy real stretched faces are such a cool trademark. The super market one is by far my favorite so far.
The girls' backstory are very sad. Mitsuki had a overprotective mother who doesn't like her boyfriend so she start making fake letters in order to have them break up, and it hurts her heart. Akiko's parents probably abandoned her and her sister. And Kanae run away becuase she accidentally heard her parents argue about her being unwanted child.
This was interesting but feels like something is missing. So much weirdness, those... "people" in the park, the non-grandma... I guess I was expecting the missing kids to have a more supernatural reasoning behind it.
22:29 So I used Google Translate and it said: "Come on later, Seiyo Haro." I think it was trying to say, "Come by later, say hello!" but I'm not sure... 40:03 Were you supposed to put the snacks on the altar?
This game’s awesome, though I do think there are some things that could be worked on a little more. For one, the tasks that you have to do for the characters are weirdly set up, it doesn’t feel natural. I think that the reason for this is because the dialogue in itself is a bit janky. It was hard to immerse myself in the game :(
I seriously thought this was some supernatural horror stuff because of the of those radios or recordings appearing in each child's house. And the grandma they never explained her why was she there (Not sure if im stupidly slow or the game was just all over the place) either way it was a nice game.
Also the clues were all over the place, that one girl being bullied hence the bag with graffiti, the parents fighting in a diary and of course the abusive(?) mother who loathes the idea of her daughter being with another guy.
After 1 year, I finally dare myself to leave a comment. You've done a great job, as always, finishing a game from start-to-finish, with your reading skills that are so good that I have to keep pausing (I wasn't raised in English, so...), but I loved watching you for several years. I'm sure you'll never read this, not for how late the comment is, how it has little to offer, and for how many comments each of your playthroughs receive, but do not think this is meant to draw your attention in some form. It's just that certain things will drive me mad, and I keep it bundled up for so long that I feel the need to get it off my chest. I'm sure this sounds (in one's head at least, as they are reading this) somewhat pathetic, but I've kept it to myself for a year, simply to avoid annoying the eyes of early viewers, though perhaps cause intrigue in those who may enjoy a good read (well, that's debatable). Also, this comment is going to spoil the endings, so better watch the whole video before reading this (that is, if you really want to read this in the first place). My main issue is how backwards the endings are, and baffling the solutions were. I mean, shouldn't the wasting of one's time to collect toys for offerings have resulted in the protagonist to fail? This is a life and death situation involving suicide, right? How is the collection of miniaturized windmills and offering them to a shrine ensuring success, but being timely at the matter punishable with utter defeat? I suppose (sarcasm) certain police cases could have gone off better if the cop had gone off duty to search a clover field for a 4-leafed-clover, and threw some coins he found at a wishing well before reaching the scene of the crime! This may sound silly, but so is "stealing a box from a woman's bedroom to offer it to a little mask-fanatic for a toy". The whole interaction with the kid was confusing in the first place, probably due to localization, because all I got out of the conversation was "Our family needs masks, which is why I wear an actual mask instead". Instead of what? Fake masks? Are you pretending to have a family by setting up different masks? I don't get it. Also, the key wasn't in the pillow case, it was IN the pillow. How? Did the kid make the pillow? Slice it open, stuff it in, then sow it back shut? Why did the dog grow a human head to thank the protagonist, then run off? I'm sure it's some sort of Japanese folklore for an animal to grow a human head, but if, say, in a more Western or European setting an old woman led you to a note, then flew off with her broomstick with a black cat and cackled like a witch, wouldn't that come across as just random and out of place, if not comedic? Perhaps comedy was the goal of the scene. Also, who hired an old man for
