These have two different suction pipe configurations. The bad one here suction pipe goes vertically up, the can sweep goes at a gentle angle.
Does this affect the result much. A bit anyway, maybe a lot!

The way you built the pvc pipe the left side has more restricted air flow.

i’m not to sure on vacuum pipe work. but that’s how the vac pan has to be connected to the pipe work, it’s the same in my house. mine doesn’t struggle this much but that’s exactly how it’s connected

But does it sit 100% flat on the floor? Because my vacpan has developed a small arch that has raised the center of it and stuff gets stuck under it.

To the untrained eye, the product competing against the Cansweep inlet can be mistaken for the Vacpan. It is the knock off version sold by F2M International.
