That’s it.
We have to find a way to harvest one of those HUGE crystals from that cave in Mexico.
I am convinced that whacking one of those with a small wrecking ball will generate enough electricity to power a home for 10 seconds.
The power outputed will be equal to the power put in minus losses in form of vibrations traveling to other objects aswell as heat being made.
I love the casual bare-handed welding.
piezo crystals produce different voltages based on the angle they are cut, their internal structure, amount of force and direction/side being 'slapped". You can produce hundreds of volts with some crystals/ceramics but the current is really low.
Yeah for sure the angle is key. Also the crystal habit needs to be pretty consistent for that to even matter either. I'd think Rochelle salt would be more accessible to the home-gamer since you can grow your own xtal.
As a side note, it's not so much the angle that enables different voltages as brute force in the case of a bbq sparker, but also, when driven at their resonant frequency a crystal can generate voltage gain (in principle) equal to it's Q factor, which for quartz can be up to a million. There used to be piezo-"transformers" as well for driving CCFL's with a beefy single layer device as primary, coupled to a stack of thinner devices in series.
That’s how one makes a lighter’s igniter too!
u dont need a rectifier , the led itself does still work without , also consider the voltage drop of ur rectifier
Clearly the crystal slapomatic needs an array of crystals all connected in series around the outside of the weed wacker so it slaps em all in sequence and generates a higher voltage.
Good, bad or otherwise, I just can't look away.
8:05 ... crystal slapper.... clapper... crapper...hmm
Man I just found your channel and I can't get enough. Clearly you're putting in tons of time and effort. It's like I've got a cousin bumblefack now too. The family's getting bigger, love it
Feels I'm watching a maintenance video for Oceangate.
I miss radio shack too 😭😭😭. You would never be able to get rid of me if I was your neighbor!
Wonderful demo.
Love your grins and irony.
Keep it up.
Don't feel bad, I've never lit an LED with a couple kWh and some spools of weedwhacker wire either
The "Google" search result is the single funniest thing I have seen in a while.
That was ridiculous.... thank you so much!
The Electroboom reference made me laugh. Just watched your metal printing 3d printer which is insanely cool and had to subscribe. You should have millions of subscribers.
mount the crystal on the countershaft of a jackhammer and there you have it: FREE ENERGY SELF SUSTAINED DEVICE
Damn I can hear the frequency coming off so beautifully ❤
free energy devices where a motor turns an alternator that feeds back to the motor that claim over 100% efficacy are the usual "freee energy" approach. This thing has like the worst efficiency imaginable. Love it !
These videos are so much fun, I love it
Fun tidbit: There exist battery-free wireless light switch modules, and some are piezo-based. When you click the paddle, it uses that energy both to power the transmitter *and* send an RF signal to the light bulb receiver.
They're cheap, too, though most are electromagnetic.
So piezo switches have crystals in them?
@@Nobody-Nowhere Yes, though you won't really see them. Note: "piezo switch" usually denotes an industrial vandal-proof switch that uses a piezo sensor to detect whether it's been pushed, and usually requires external power. The wireless ones are self-powered.
@@Spirit532 I was considering one in one of my projects, and a quick read kinda hinted that they generated power somehow. They were these non tactile touch type switches, so no moving parts.. just pure magic. So maybe magical crystals then.
Andreas Spiess just release a video about wireless non powered switches and stuff.
@@Nobody-Nowhere There exist capacitive switches, the same tech that's used on a smartphone screen. Piezos are just way more robust.
Two thoughts: the direction of the crystal might matter, although I'm not sure you might already have had the right orientation. Other thought, you could solder together a "joule thief" to increase the .5 volt to enough for an LED
The secret of whacking electricity out of a crystal is that you've to do it periodically. Squeeze, relax, squeeze, relax .. Other people tried squeezing only that didn't work. The trick is let the nature do the work, so you don't have to, hence, the free energy claim justified! There are two ways to achieve this. One is you build a (water proof?) crystal sandwich and let the waves hit it. That way you can accumulate charges in a capacitor over time. Another way is to collect surface Telluric current. A beach is full of crystals and rocks that are being pounded by waves all the time. If you stick a rod in the sand where waves are pounding and another rod a bit further there should be a potential difference. Better yet, if you can create an isolated negative ground, it will suck current out of the earth. Somebody needs to keep experimenting on these world changing ideas.
A blocking oscillator using a jfet will work to power an LED from this, aka a "joule thief" circuit.
Did you know this was named by Big Clive?
Lol 😆 bro. Just found your channel, nice to see someone else who has the same hobbies and TH-cam channels he's interested in. Keep up the good work .
How many holes did you put in the walls?
2:04 I'm SOOOO glad to know, my vice can be used for crystals!!!! Hehehehe
You just demonstrated the general free energy mechanism around very convincing. Just look there and ignore this, voila free energy!
We can cancel the plans for fusion reactors!
Haha I like how well this comment works with your channel name
Put a transformer (in reverse) in front of the rectifier and use a modern green/blue LED. Should work much better. Also should have tried to measure the short circuit current from it.
I used to think I was clever until your channel. So many of your ideas I think no way and then...WAY! Keep up the good work
if you bang those crystalks together they emit light
you can actually fill your driveway with them and if you drive in at night, your car tracks will glow
I really enjoyed your video. I think you meant silicon and not silicone. A joule thief will make your led go with that contraption. I got a feeling the crystal needs to be thinner to work better.
More crystals linked up and a better source of vibration.... shhh...😅 oh and more vices
Awesome free energy hack 😂 keep up the great videos, thanks
3:56 I see no reason why crystals couldn't be attached to a rattley truck or piece of machinery to help give it power
or at least give it electricity, if it's fuel-powered
the best thing was now knowing what the casey neistat montage music is.
It's a shame you don't have something to hold it in place so it doesn't wobble and walk all over, something like a magnet maybe. 😁
One question-if theirs particles then how does light speed up when it leaves a medium like glass?
A-because it’s a rate of induction(what some would call aether).
Use the vacuum created by the negative discharge/earth.
Man, I cannot imagine someone better than you to try to do something like a concrete 3D printer! It would be awesome
Underrated channel for sure. I hope you keep doing your thing and blow up(in popularity)!
hahaI appreciate the clarification.
Thanks for the support!
100%
You sir are a beast !! Thank you for another great video..
so underrated... you should have comparable number of viewers like colinfurze :) awesome projects!
Dude replace the line trimmer blade on the guard with a crystal on a electric trimmer add a few wires and BOOM free energy self powered electric trimmer. (I'm from Australia so it's actually called a whipper snipper) sorry if this has already been mentioned in the comments but I'm too lazy to read them... awsome video mat
Arhhhh left of the e....
Durable flappy material for striking and crystal at an angle
4:12 - I sometimes wonder how many references there are to other youtubers in these videos like, BigClive often says "FULL BRIDE REFCTIFIER" in a particular voice.
Should be able to use a Joule thief circuit to light the LED
Make a joule thief to help light LED?
Little boost converter would work, maybe even just a little transformer on the direct AC output of the crystal. But of course since you’re basically capacitively coupling the signal through the crystal, the effective capacitance of the quartz crystal will serve as an impedance to any current flow. A thick crystal like that might barely have a picofarad. That’s a really high impedance at anything that isn’t microwave frequencies, at which point the actual thickness of the crystal gets comparable to the wavelength. Compare that to the sub-mm thin slices found in a clock’s oscillator, or a common piezo disc.
Another factor is that the diodes you used are probably kinda shitty silicon rectifiers, where using small signal silicon diodes would have likely given a better signal with less loss to leakage. I’ve heard that transistor b-c junctions are even lower leakage.
When it comes to this kind of energy harvesting, you have to think about all sorts of ways that you might be getting losses from. Same for rectennas, crystal radios, thermoelectric, etc.
If I am not mistaken, RPG7 has a shaped charge, that need to be detonated with an electric detonator from the back on impact and I believe some did use pizo stikers in the nose to do this. So there must be a way, maybe layer them in series, copper silicon copper silicon ... then give it one death stike as there does seem to be a relation between strike energy and wattage out. I might be completely wrong here though.
Clamp the crystal battery tight n attach too a little rechargeable battery n put the setup inside a basketball so it's clamped and getting smashed around whilst clamped...there ya go basketball players will power the world one day 😂😂😂
Rectifing diodes have voltage drop, You could skip FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER, connect LED directly and check if it lights up.
Most of the designs I've seen for crystal oscillators use two capacitors. Try duct-taping more capacitors on there? Could also maybe polish the sides of the crystal in contact with the copper for more juice.
The capacitors are just for driving them electronically and must be in series with it. Adding them to this in parallel would make things much worse and adding them in series would just be pointless.
what if you was to put crystals all around the enclosure like the placement of numbers on a clock ,and then wire each those together , if you are getting half volt with one and you have 12 wouldnt that be 6 volts, also instead of weedwacker line a cpl thin strips leather would smack it and give more resistance which would be more power( Tim Taylor- Tool Time) also it would be more steady and consistent power,i just thought that right now thank to whatever brought it to my attention i forgot now but i think you can get steady power ,that way,add 11 more crystals and use 1/8 inch wide belt leather
I’m pretty sure if you shattered the Crystal with a press you would get the most energy out of it but it would be I believe one quick burst then done. I don’t know until I do it myself but I’m super curious because they put off the most energy under pressure
I think it would help to apply force directly on the axis your electrodes are connected to
There is at least 0.6V drop across the bridge rectifier in each direction.
Perhaps you could instead use an “ideal” rectifier (which uses MOSFETs) instead?
i have an idea for a video, what about a wire electrical discharge machine/machinery/ machining? (not sure what one is right) id be impressed! the laser cuter is good but the ECM would take you to the next level.
i cant spell!! cutter!
try extract pizo parts out of 50 lighter put them in a circular wheel and with the precise setup you can produce 50 htz 1000 v with just 1 RPM
How did you cut the lettering in the steel? Laser?
You're missing something... add a crystal to top bottom and sides slightly separated so they gain the vibration & frequency. Connect a positive and negative to each like you did the one. Remember that Nikola always said, Vibration, Frequency, and energy are three key requirements to life. You will create more energy just from the vibration and frequency if intuned with the same crystals around them if close enough. This should drastically raise your voltage to around 20 to 25 volts, likely. Maybe more. You only need to hit on. If you space them around with tiny spacing, just enough to get them all in the same frequency as they are being hit you may draw much more power than that and only have to hit one
I think you might be able to light that LED if you do away with the bridge rectifier, all it does is puts two rectifier diodes in series with the LED. I think it'd be cool to see that LED glow, even if you need to insulate the machine from outside light and delve into long-exposure photography.
Also, I don't know what the resonant frequency of this crystal might be, but if it's below 20 kHz, you might try hooking the output to a headphone - they're pretty high impedance, all things considered.
Now that I think of it, if it is very fast, you might have been bandwidth limited by those very slow rectifier diodes. I don't really know the response time of an average LED too. Hmm, if you ever do decide to play around with this a bit more you might want to maybe use a single diode rectifier (so basically just a diode in series with your LED) made with an 1N4148 or maybe something like a BAT85? Heh, I guess you take the oscilloscope out of the equation and all of my hard-earned EE intuition goes out of the window
I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Thanks!
i was surprised you never took readings while constantly tightening the Vise and adding consistent pressure to the crystal... that is how it would work underground, constant pressure.... like when Crystal wants to set a world record and squeeze a watermelon with their vise legs the immense pressure the watermelon is under but in your case stop right before the crystal collapses its structure, and see if consist-ant Voltage is produced?
could you switch a relay with 0.5 volts
If a quartz crystal was subjecting to equal amd intense pressure, such as a vice grip or bottom of the marinara (mariana sauce is for spaghetti) trench, would it theoretically light up or emit some constant voltage?
i think its kind of akin to passing a magnet past a coil, its the act of motion that produces the voltage, not the final state.
@@X4Alpha4X ah, so variable pressure, that makes sense.
dude, I just found you. HOLY SHIT! COOL HUGE FAN ALREADY!
I do the same dam shit xD
They also produce power when heated and exposed to light aka solar panel
How does this not have more views
It is free energy, it just depends on your deffinition of free. I prefer the litteral deffinition: free as in I don't have to pay for it.
Try puting two large aluminum plates in meter diameter and tap them that will make sound ipact vibration. See what happens then.
It would be fun to reverse this and make it make sounds
More crystals and adding a joule thief will work to light it on 0.5v easy
Tap like an Egyptian dude. Ding a door bell on it instead?
I decided to watch all your videos.!
If you make 200 of these you can power small appliances with slap energy.
you need 0.7v for an LED to lit up. i suggest you to build some kind of voltage booster with two caps
I love your videos!
Try cigarette lighter crystals . Put together. They make enough to light several leds. I've lit 10 leds at once with 6 crystals
is your orientation of the crystal correct?
Piezoelectric horseshoes
As it’s pulsed can you use a diode capacitor ladder to increase voltage like the electric shock machines use? 😀 quick google voltage multiplier would be the cock for dolly 🤣
although the host of this video already knows the problem with is setup, very inefficient design, he acknowledge that piezo does light up led's, the ceramic piezo discs. the host was trying to take a stab at the free-energy tropes that is out there about crystals and free energy. however, he doesn't realize that a piezo-generator will be the future of energy generator, no moving parts for generating electricity.
that was awesome
Awesome!
Use magnets to really use free energy
Hook it to a joule thief
I have that SAME Tshirt and hoodie!!
AvE is freaking awesome! So are you!
You’re my new best friend!
Add a joule thief to it.
Hahaha ta fait ma journée!!
Silicone 🤣
Abraço do Brasil🇧🇷❤️ / obrigado por mas um vídeo.
Use a Joule Thief circuit ;)
I should have 100times as .any views you are genius
Get a bigger crystal to get a higher voltage
Add more crystals
I like what I saw 👍
Use more crystals
try messing with battery powered genrators. not inverters, they r forbiden inventions
Should be deformed so it becomes compressed between the plates. Dont just slap it on the edge
I really want to create some coils and experiment a bit similar to this. I’m so fascinated by teslas work with his coils and healing people with frequency and magnets 🧲 I want to merge the quartz into those experiments as well to amplify the frequency coming off of the coils
radioshacc is bacc tho
