      @@frankt285 The train was stopped in round 1 Frank. Every single comment you make on this video is about Trouba lmao give it a rest he's one of the biggest reasons the Rangers lost that series. Everyone knows the real captain is Kreider.
      He's a Walmart Scott Stevens with a quarter of the talent. Guys not even as good as Dustin Byfuglien was and he got to play with him and learn firsthand.

    Crazy how hard hits can be without players even taking strides. He was coasting most of the way, he just built up enough speed from the blueline.

      Seemed fine, after a check like that in the early to mid 2000's they would just sit you out for a few shifts and let you hit some salts and Gatorade and come back in. Now they got this concussion protocol crap and don't even let the player make their own decision to keep playing.

    Crazy that the split second he put his head down to corral the puck, left himself vulnerable. Goes to show just how fast NHL is and the sacrifices players make to clear their end. Was a banger of a hit by Bennett and yeah Slavin should've listened to his goalie, but he was totally out of sorts.

    start watching at 1:09 and pause at 1:10 when bennet turns around and you can see him smiling and than changes expression when he sees camera is showing him. He is definitely out there trying to injure players. The league lets him get away with it too. he only got a slap on the wrist for the headshot he did on bunting, not once, but twice. What a corrupt league.

    In my opinion hockey hits are much harder then any football hits with less protection and rock hard ice. Ice hockey is a real mans sport! Congrats Cats 4 more to go!!!

      Not in the playoffs, especially when you are already down 3-0. I wouldn't be surprised if numbers were taken and there isn't some sort of payback early next season. It was a clean hit though.

      I understand when you have to stick up to your teammate who received a dirty hit, but responding a clean hit.... that's stupid. I hate that it started to be "a thing" about 15-20 years back.
      I remember when Jonathan Toews was caught looking the other way and Willie Mitchell just happened to stepped out of the box and laid him out clean.... Toews immediately told his team, "clean hit" thus to avoid any "extracurriculars".

    Sam bennett is a beast, especially for not being too big of a guy he plays like hes 6'5. Looking back i still cant believe this is the same guy i watched in Calgary years ago.

      Agreed, I honestly have never seen him play like this, I don’t know what has gotten into him. Tkachuk, Montour, Bennett, Bobrovsky, Reinhardt, Barkov, having historical playoffs here. Duclair, just to name a few. Those are some big names, with big talent and they work hard and play hard, and are a little nasty as well. I think fans forget, I know I do because they are in Florida, I rarely see their games. It’s no wonder they are winning. I think Vega$ or Dallas if they can pull of a miracle will be just as mean and physical though so it should be interesting. We’ll see if Tkachuk, Montour, Bennett and Bobrovsky are targeted. They have been keys to success, so we’ll see what happens. If it’s Vega$ they will be taking runs at those guys, you can bet on that 🙂

    It’s hard for non players to understand what keep your head up means. It basically means you are aware a hit is about to happen and you are taught to hit back in essence. It takes the sting out even if you get hit hard. I’m old so men’s league is usually just bad collisions but bracing for a hit and forgetting puck usually works.

      Except that he hit him like a 'panther' from the blue line...no he didn't skate as hard as he could to hit him...thank goodness (like Matt Cooke), but he took three to four strong strides and hit him when his head was down. 'Great hit', well, actually it's harder to hit a guy who's ready for the hit. Unfortunately, Bennett looks to hurt other players. ex. Knies and Slavin. He has a track record.

      Oh man that Trouba hit was ridiculous. It was clean but boardline. This hit on the other hand was as clean as they come.

    Clean hit, but hate to see a guy with his head bobbling around like it's mounted on a car dash on an off road track. Especially Slavin. Two of my favs right there in one big collision. Hopefully the quiet room serves him well and it's more of a scare than anything serious.

    I love Bennett’s style of play… tough, gritty and hard hitting… Plus, I think it’s funny. He has like no emotions at all in his face, he literally could pass for a serial killer. 😂

      Just like in any contact sport, you can get a concussion on a hit that does not hit the head. Unless you want to get rid of all body checking.
