WHILE BRINGING MY BIRD FEEDERS HE TOOK OFF BETWEEN MY LEGS. IT IS 4 1/2 HOURS AND STILL MISSING. NO RACCOON VIDEO TONIGHT BECAUSE OF HIS ANTICS WILL BE UP ALL NIGHT LOOKING FOR HIM. TO UPDATE CONNOR RETURNED 5 1/2 HOURS LATER WITH DIRTY MUDDY FEET, STARVING I WASHED HIS FEET AND HE IS SLEEPING IN THE CAT CARRIER WHERE HE FEELS SAFE.
When I saw Connor was outside and I said, "Get him with a donut, Jim!" And that's right when he said, "No donut for you!", so THAT was out. As a cat owner, I know it is frustrating when they zip outside and act like you are calling someone else. Hope he gets back home safe.
My cat does this when ever he gets a chance. I live in city, Cars come down my street pretty fast. He scares me so much. Then when he goes out the back in my yard he climbs the tree or the fence to get over the other side.Takes me a long time to get him, the little stinker.
One of our cats is the same. Escape artist. Rescued her from a life of bullying and starvation and we have spent hours outside of a condemned abandoned big building coaxing and begging her to come to us. Our best wishes are with you that your fur baby will return soon.
My cat comes when I call her for a treat or bird at the window. But anytime I want her to do something she doesn't want, suddenly she doesn't know her name.
Hi 🙋♀️ Jim! That’s how the cats roll - very sneaky. I have 1 that does the same, lying in wait until there’s a chance to escape. Pls let us know when Connor returns. ❤️ to Connor and Charlotte
Maybe get him some house plants that are safe to eat. He rushes to the shed and other areas where the mower can’t usually reach, to eat the grass beside it. I used to have a cat that did the same thing lol
Hopefully he will stick close to home because of the snow around the house. Good luck Jim. I know how it is to worry about your cat especially near or at night time.
My sons cat got out yesterday through my open bedroom window she was gone for about three hours. I told him to leave the front door open and she finally came back
maybe Connor needed the grass because he had a upset stomach, or he had been waiting for the right time to escape: *RE: PetMD com, Which indoor grass - "Oat", he said, "because it acts as a digestive aid to calm the intestinal tract"
I foster cats and kittens and have had up to 10 indoors at one time. Most cats could care less or are too afraid about going outside. But there are always a couple that love being outside even if its just for a few hours. It's instinctual for them to explore. They seem to manage to sneak out one way or another. So don't beat yourself up that he was too fast. He's an explorer. He will be back.
Our kitties love the oat grass we grow in revolving batches. Amazon sells $3.00 kits . It seems to curb their urges to seek greens outdoors. Good wishes..............
I have 13. Four are NOT allowed outdoors. I’ve only had one incident of one getting out-miraculously, he had enough sense to go around to the back of the house where the others constantly come in and out throughout the day. But if one of the macho stray cats had found him first...And in YOUR case, I hear the traffic passing by. Every time Connor gets out I feel like I’m having a seizure. As a cat mom, the snow, the traffic, and the wildlife...I’m in panic mode and I don’t even LIVE there! Thank you for the update that he’s home, safe and sound.
Oh Connor, you need to come back in from your adventures! He’ll be back James. No one else is gonna buy him donuts or show him bird/squirrel videos. Keep us all posted. 🐾🐈⬛🐾🍩
Connor!!! My cat eats grass when he has an upset stomach and needs to vomit. Maybe he didn't want to be sick inside Dad's house. ♥️❤ Love Connor and Charlotte. Thanks for sharing them Jim 😊
Oh noooo! I hope you get him in tonight before it gets colder! I was worried about him getting out when I saw your video from last night when you had to carry out the water bucket. So sorry it happened today! Be safe Connor!
Oh Jim, I feel for you and pray Connor comes back when he gets hungry. The only worry I see is the road with all the traffic heard during the video. He knows how good to him you are and knows he's loved.
Oh god nooo! That's why we never open the door straight away when we get home, just a little to see where our cat is and 'scare' her away so when can fast go in. It's just heartbreaking and I hope he always finds his way back into that lovely, home of yours 🍀❣️
Oh man, do I feel this one. I have twenty rescued cats; all taken in as sick or abandoned babies. There are no shelters in my area, so I am it. On Sunday I must move them ALL to a large storage shed on the property as my house is being torn down on Monday for new construction. I know there will be some who escape. I am already terrified and heartsick. Most of them have never been outdoors except as very young kittens. I even tried all the shelters in S.TX and none would take them, even as boarders: no room they say. I am so happy to hear your fur kid returned not too much worse for wear. I know how relieved you must have been.
I have a Tigger that puts me through the same stress. He shoots out the door, eats grass and rolls in any dirt he can find! I am a wreck for hours because there is no getting him in until his black and white tail is ready to come in! Then he is in this love me mood as if nothing happened!
It's spring, he knows it. My cat too has been out sniffing the grass and happy to move around our yard with very little snow. Long winter for them too. Connor's got it made with a daddy like you....he'll be home soon, I'm sure.
My heart goes out to you , what a terrible feeling when our pets run from us ❗️🐾 I’m so very happy for both of you that he is safe in your home where he belongs .
He seems to really like eating the grass, I grow grass for my indoor kitties, maybe he will want to stay in more if you have grass for him to eat inside. It’s worth a try I guess. Glad he is home safe!
Praying for Connor to return on his own very soon. Our soon-to-be 14-year old Siamese Himalayan male cat is very sweet and smart. Our cat usually behaves and stays inside, however, sometimes a cat is a cat and wants to have his independence. Our cat would refuse to come back in after his daily visits outside in our backyard. Connor will return Mr Blackwood, cats are extremely intelligent. After he had his fill of exploring, he will be back in no time. :>)
He'll come back just dont run after him. Wait outside and he will come back if you keep calling his name. Be patient and calm. Sorry James my cat gets out all the time! Don't be too worried.
lol!! "No Donuts For you!" Your the best. I know how you feel, especially with that road so close. Connors Sooooo happy though : ) Stay well and safe all of you and your babies~
You need to change his name to Houdini. He’s a great escape artist. I hope his little adventure doesn’t last too long. He should want to go in as it gets colder. He’ll want a bite to eat while watching cartoons and warming up. I hope it’s not a long night for you, Jim. That Darn Cat!
Mr. Jim I have one that looks like Charlotte but does exactly what Conner did to you seek outside between the legs I am so glad you got him inside again and safe. I agree no donut for Conner. Please take care of yourself . Enjoy your videos very much. Sending you greetings from casco township Michigan usa
Jim, if you get a pot of indoor grass to keep growing, Connor Cat may stay in more. I think he sometimes needs it for digestion and also he just wants to enjoy the Spring. He'll be back. Keep safe and let us know when he's home.
The Jim's Diner sigh is a hoot. BTW, here's a quote by a famous man regarding the character of animals: "Dogs look up to you, cats look down on you. Give me a pig. He just looks you in the eye and treats you like an equal." Winston Churchill. So Conner won't respect you enough to come when you call him.
Oh, no, Connor Cat, bad kitty! You better get back in that house! It’s almost dark. Maybe he’ll be terrified and run in the house when the raccoon gang shows up. Keep us posted. 🥺 We trained our cats to come to a clicker like the ones used to train dogs. You click and then give their favorite treat. Now when they hear the clicker, they come out from wherever they’re hiding and RUN to get the treats. Cats are smart (stubborn) and know they don’t have to do what we say. But that’s part of their charm.
Connor's caught a bit of spring fever, can't say I blame him! I'm sorry that he caused you worry and aggravation though Jim! That Connor! Talk about a character!! 😉💕
Cats are such amazing creatures. They have excellent hearing but they can pretend to be totally deaf when they don't want to acknowledge what you're saying.
Praying he comes back soon. He is going to have to be put in the bedroom when you are carrying things back and forth. This can not keep happening it is to stressful for you. Just put him in the bedroom and close door do what you have to feed water video then let him out. He will just keep this up going into spring and summer other wise. Know it will be a pain but this is to stressful at your age. Prayers and love for quick return.
Jim, you should build a covered run path for Conner. You can also make a simple shelter and put under your deck. Take a plastic storage bin, make 2 holes (one on either end, fill with hay and put lid on.
Don’t punish him when he comes back or it will only encourage him to run from you. Even though animals can make your blood boil when they run from you , positive reinforcement is the only incentive for him to come back. Sometimes indoor cats or run away and stay away for fear of being punished when they get home. It’s in a cats blood to want to be outside. I hope he comes home soon.
Glad to hear he's back in the house. Noticed he looked at the window. Probably would have gone inside if it was open. As you said, his feet were cold. He was just too stubborn to admit it.
OOOHHHHH NO! conner escaped again,,hes a sneeky cat jim lol.hope he comes back in soon sir.great videos and a big thank you too kimber for all the behind the scences work going on ty kimber !
Oh no 🥲. He loves you too much to stay gone. He’ll definitely come home 🏡 when he wants his daddy’s snacks 🙏🏼❤️. Prayers for you not to worry ~ he’ll come home 🙌🏼
I am glad Connor came back to you. Before we married Keith had a cat got out never saw him again. Scary, Charlie got out Saturday night and I kept calm trying to talk to him. He did come back. He gave me a heart attack. What we go through with our beloved pets ❤ 💙 Joan Bates
Connor Cat is so beautiful, I am so glad you got him back in. I think Connor Cat needs to go to time out in his crate when you open up your door, sneaky brat
Hi James🙋...Would it help at all to sit on the porch step and open a can of tuna fish ???Maybe Connor would come ?? So Glad he came back safe and sound❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
James, just a suggestion after dark turn on the dining room light before you open the door. That way you can see where the little stinker is. Also (I have 3 cats) if you can sneak up on them from behind, throw a small blanket over him & grab him quick! It works they are confused temporarily & it gives you time to capture. Have used this many times successfully🐱😉🐱A fan from Oklahoma🌅
Meant to add love your posts & the road trips! Glad you didn't have to stay up all night! Conner Cat & Miss Charlotte are lucky to be so well loved. Looking forward to raccoon visits to your porch this Spring🐱🐱🌅
My 2 maincoons got out on me today. I just let them alone and about 30 minutes later, while I was watching, they came back in. I let them enjoy themselves. 😚
WHILE BRINGING MY BIRD FEEDERS HE TOOK OFF BETWEEN MY LEGS. IT IS 4 1/2 HOURS AND STILL MISSING. NO RACCOON VIDEO TONIGHT BECAUSE OF HIS ANTICS WILL BE UP ALL NIGHT LOOKING FOR HIM. I WISH I COULD HELP YOU CATCH MR CONNOR CAT😻🍩💪
Good luck Jim! Connor, be safe and get your tail back in the house!
So sad! I hope you get him! We love Connor Cat!
I hope you catch him. Maybe try a can of tuna? I will be watching and waiting. I have a cat. I know how you feel. Good luck! Hope all stay safe!
So sorry to hear! I’m sure Connor will come back!
He was having a good explore around. Cats do that and it doesn't bother them that their owners are worried sick. Glad he got back safely. 🥰
Connor Cat, what were you thinking? Worrying your dad sick like that...
Conner is being a bit of a dick.
He’s enjoying the smells of spring. And He will be back on the porch when he gets hungry, But He’s a little stinker escaping from his daddy.
I love not escaping from my daddy

So happy that Connor came back safe and sound!! Blessings
Being the co-owner of Jim's Diner, Connor cat will know where to go when he's ready for his bread and butter
Ya but he can get hurt by coyotes, bears and other wildlife

Most importantly, he's back. I know you love Connor cat. What a relief!
Don't stress, he needs his time. The more you pressure him, the more he will run from you. He knows his home with Papa. 😊
My house cat gets lost easily and runs further away. Some cats are capable. Others get lost lol
I pray he comes back in safe & sound🙏💞🙏💞🙏
Oh no, not again! Bad Connor ☹ I hope he gets hungry and goes indoors soon.
@@savedbeliever That is the worry, and also the main road ☹
That turkey. Conner young man you better get your tail back there.

Hi I'm watching this great escape Connors spring exploring! have you ever tried him on a leash harness for a walk?
Oh no! He knows where the donuts are and will be back.
Sounds like Conner cat has the spring heeby jeebies. We're sure he'll come back safe. Much love from Eastern Ontario
My sons cat got out yesterday through my open bedroom window she was gone for about three hours. I told him to leave the front door open and she finally came back
@@Memow-pk1ng Or as Jim said, a coyote's dinner. that's our worst fear with our cats getting out at night.
Connor will be fine he’s a smart cookie not going to stray to far! Don’t stress him he will be looking for his dad soon enough
maybe Connor needed the grass because he had a upset stomach, or he had been waiting for the right time to escape: *RE: PetMD com, Which indoor grass - "Oat", he said, "because it acts as a digestive aid to calm the intestinal tract"
I thought of that too..about the upset stomach.
They eat grass to get vitamins, you can buy grass plants for indoors
I'm glad he got out, like he's on a covid lockdown. They sat when a cat eats grass they need vitamins. I'm sure when he gets hungry he'll come back.
What a rascal Connor is! If they only knew how much you worry about them when they escape... wouldn't change a thing!
I foster cats and kittens and have had up to 10 indoors at one time. Most cats could care less or are too afraid about going outside. Lol he’s done that on video before, and Conner just keeps on trucking OUTSIDE! I know he scares James, but it cracks me up when he calls him “BAD” lol
I don't know what they put in that damn thing for my cat was addicted to them
Good to hear Connor is back. Maybe a catio would be good for him on your other balcony area. This way he can see & feel the outside safely?

Oh, bad kitty! Hope you can catch him promptly. And that he stays away from the road. Good luck. ❤
Oh my. I hope you get him back soon. Please keep us updated.🙏🏻
I'm so sorry in knowing this. I know how worried you are. Praying he comes home soon!
Oh I hope your Connor doesn't go into the woods. I hope by now you have gotten him back in the house. Wishing you best of luck!
@ alice lynema ... Very excellent advice! Positive reinforcement is always the best way.
Yes!! Your right. Cats don't really know any better.
Jim wouldn't hurt Connor though maybe with the threat of no donuts is harmful in Connors eyes 😂
