    Back in the day I used the SDE-3000 and the DEP-5... They were (and still are, honestly) amazing sounding effects. Along with the PCM 60 and 70, they were the 80s and early 90s in a rack setup. This new unit is a welcome nod to the classics.

    I do have line 6 M5, now i interested for this game changer.. Roland SDE is the most valuable delay back then ...
    Pair with my M5 for delays, with midi.. i can have a lot of Digital and Tube Echo,Tape delays in my set up ...
    With the expression pedals ..can control it more easy on stage..

    I just watched Leon Todd demo the EVH version :) i think they're pretty cool. there's been a gap in the market for a superdelay like this since the demise of the UD Stomp, imo. Any Holdsworthy type presets in there? Modulated delay is just about the best thing ever in my book.

    • @BobGuido
      @BobGuido ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed and agreed. I've been waiting for this, but was really hoping that this kind of Dual Delay pedal that captures the authentic sound and functions from the original 1970's & 1980's rack units would have come from AMS, tc electronic, Lexicon or Eventide.

    • @Simeon_Harris
      @Simeon_Harris ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BobGuido didn't the edge like the 3000 for a bit? i think mainly for the preamp though. eventide have their new H90 thingy (which could probably do everything this box does). lexicon are more known for their reverbs imo and i have no idea what TC are up to...they were rumoured to be bringing out a pedal version of the 2290. i think the EVH connection was the driving force behind this product and that's fine i reckon.

    • @BobGuido
      @BobGuido ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Simeon_Harris The Edge uses the Korg SDD-3000, which has a very distinct sound of it's own, that is more low fidelity. Not quite a bucket brigade analog echo, but very far from the full frequency response of most digital delays.

    Really great sounding/looking unit! I would like to know what it can do that the DD-500 can't though. Seems like it's a lot more straight forward to program than the DD-500 at the very least.

    • @coreyspradley3883
      @coreyspradley3883 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it doesn’t have as many delay features as the 500 but it’s got a lot of stereo/pan options which is pretty sweet. i’d rather have the 500 myself. i have the 200 and love it

    • @PedalPoopers

      That's the whole charm of the character.... to bring you back to the 80's. This pedal probably won't appeal to younger gen who wasn't around then but it's not supposed to
