I have watched SPL for 6 years and this is the most entertaining set of games but for individual games there are just better moments for me. Mouse looping behind fire is pure gold and ares ultimate through Janus portal are my top two favourite SPL moments. There have been more hype moments for sure and bigger and better plays but the feeling I got watching those just my personal favourites. These sets without beads aegis mainly make me want to see bigger balance changes. AMC getting the major buff to his ult that catapulted him to a top pick awhile ago was something I was okay with. I'm okay with Hi-Rez picking items or gods or strategies and trying something new that is probably too strong as long as it's different it'll be fun imo. Great games and great video

comment saying anything i want? hmm okay well i feel like i gotta thank you for the tribute to john finch video. when i first heard of his death i was in complete disbelief but once i saw your video it really helped me come to terms with what happened. and seeing older clips of him from before i was that into the spl really put me in that bittersweet mood, terribly sad to see him gone but somewhat glad to know that everything hes done as a personality for smite will live on within the smite community. so, much love for that one betty.

Ill be honest. I watched yesterday's set and thought, "Man.. i wish that bug wasnt fixed. This would of been better with it." As far as I concerned, it should become a permanent rule in the pro league. I did laugh a bit when I saw Susano get priority in a no aegis world, because I remember "he isnt designed to 100-0 people"
No Beads + Aegis is always an interesting thought and it vastly increases the impact of big ults which I feel is a double edged sword. On one hand it looks super hype, on the other the game balance would need to change a good bit to make it less overbearing. I can go either way personally. P.S. Make more videos Betty! We all want to see them!!!

I'd honestly be happier if they made this a feature because before this bug if you were a squishy mage or hunter, you just almost always went the both of them. limiting you to one or the other does make for more interesting relic choices

I actually think they should change aegis. Basically same effects except that the max it can prevent is 1000 dmg. If it prevents 1000 dmg and breaks you get a 3 second 35% mitigation buff or something. These massive ults have been too much fun to watch
I love that in the live chat I was like OMG this looks like fun, maybe combining beads and aegis wouldn't be a bad thing just to get immediately made fun of, now a week later everyone like wow it was so entertaining to watch lmfao
Yeah these past few weeks have been absolutely insane. Pandcat playing Nu wa was hilarious becuase without Aegis you can't block her ult and late game it chunks. I'd be so heated 😂😂

im torn on this because sometimes it just feels silly that aegis can't be used cuz if vulcan lands ult its insta-kill but at the same time most of the spl gameplay is just hovering around and not fighting until everyone's relics are up so it gets boring when everyone waits for their aegis to come up and it's up for everytime team fight. I overall like the beads shell instead of aegis, it's definitely more fun to watch.
What if they made a game mode of regular conquest BUT no aegis and no aegis? Imagine every game being just absolutely insane and chaotic all the time, endless cc chains, and horrible team comps of absolutely mentally breaking times. It’d be fun tho hella

An aegis ban at the start of the season would be nice. Having this happen when teams are trying to qualify for the qualifying tournament is ridiculous.
It's such an easy fix. We already have Magi's Cloak... so get rid of Beads. Then, get rid of Aegis, and apply it as a Passive to another Item. Like the Automatic Beads on Magi's Cloak. It will proc on what would be Lethal Damage, ignoring all the damage, and will drop all DOTs and Debuffs off. So it's even better, it's Aegis AND a cleanse! The trade off is you don't control actively when it procs... it procs when you would die. Now there is no Beads. There is no Aegis. And NOW we have variety in Relic Choices. Do you go aggressive and Blink+Horrific? Maybe a Shell and Sprint? Maybe a Meditation and Shell, and now the ADC is setting up the Duo Lane Gank providing HP, Mana and Effective HP for the Support and Jungle. Get rid of BOTH, and make the one that isn't already a Passive on an Item... a Passive on an Item. Watch how the game instantly is so much better. And watch how the meta scrambles to find the best combination of Relics for Carries. These items suck because they allow you to play poorly, position poorly, do things you wouldn't do if you didn't know you had the CONTROL of just going Beads and Aegis to get out of it. They promote poor play by merely existing. The main problem with that is the control part. These are still super powerful as Passives on Items, where the trade off is you don't get the control. You wouldn't Aegis if Khepri had ulted you, so now you survive and you STILL have Aegis to go right back in. Now... that passive Procs and you've lost both. Sure, you're still alive due to Khepri Save, but both are on CD now and you have to play smarter. It's much harder to abuse as Passive on Item. And it would be great to see more Relic Combinations in the Game. I mean why have all these cool Relics, if we're never going to use them because the combination of Beads/Aegis is required on Carries?

Would love if this was a permanent change it was so wonderful to watch. BigMan getting that max range Vulcan ult on Barra and Ven was just incredible

I love how interesting the no beads+aegis games were but in some sets it shows the issues with balance at the pro level.
How do you figure? Effectively, what we saw was just a massive nerf to the "snowball" that most MOBAs are.

I have to agree with everyone else it was honestly the most engaging and fun couple weeks i've seen in spl since like season 2.

beads should have the final tier be a split between aegis or beads so if you want to immune damage you can or you have normal beads
