Hands down the two finest fiddle players of my lifetime. I had more personal history with Vassar, but that in no way diminished my respect for Byron. With word of his passing today I came out on TH-cam to look for some tracks and stumbled onto this. Such a precious historical document. Thank you, Chris.
This film was such a pure delight to watch!!! To see two of the best bluegrass fiddlers the world has ever known playing together in such a laidback and comfortable setting is a really rare treat, for sure! Thank you so much for putting this up on TH-cam!!!☮😃🎻🌞🌈
Wow. Amazed I never heard this before. Saw Vassar couple of times. Once at club in Dallas. Put lit pipe in pants pocket. Would reach in and take puff every 4-5 minutes. 😂. Byron is amazing player. Lives in Oklahoma. Have been to his place once and seen him several times in Texas.

Thank you. I still have a bunch of other workshops and performances to post. This stuff needs to get posted and my buddy would be proud.
Geoff Somers on guitar and Wayne Ferguson on mandolin. They were in Blue Mule and we won the band contest.
They did very well.
Thank you
I love reading the comments. So happy about the responses and I know Pete would be as well.
