Airplane beach does look crazy! It really did look like the planes were going to land on you, it looked SO close! And watching everyone run as the big plane took off - you can really see how powerful the blast is! Good tip about checking if it's a cruise ship day.

What a difference - empty vs. crowded beach. The sand and the sea look so tempting. You got some really nice photos of the planes. Know one thing - wouldn't want to lay on the beach when plane take off. :)

Those planes flying over heads were amazing :-) but you have to watch over you stuff not to be blown away :-) The beach also looked great but quite packed during day.
You looked so nervous when that first plane flew over! I’ve spent a lot of time in St. Maarten and those planes are crazy, it’s nice to head to other beaches for some peace and quiet though😊

I’ve been to Sint Maarten a couple of times! One of my favorite places on earth! The jet blast is no joke! We were fortunate to go before the 747s stopped flying. It’s an incredible experience! Mayo is a small beach, so you are correct about it getting packed on cruise ship days!

I remember this feeling of sand blazing sunburnt skin with jet blast at Maho beach. It was such a great day! And we also were lucky to see one of those A-340 landing, covering the whole beach with the shade of its wings.
That's crazy during that jet storms... people/things getting blown away, tumbling over. 3:21 that's the shot everyone is looking for 👍🙂 love to visit the place and feel the excitement 😀
My gosh, the planes really do come close! It's amazing the difference having cruise ships does. The beach was so busy in the first few clips! Then it looked peaceful (except for the planes of course!). I love your excitement as the plane comes closer. I can feel the suspense building! I think I would duck down too - they look so close! The dust when the plane takes off is crazy. Did people get blown into the ocean?

We saw so many planes, there were sometimes like 10-15 in an hour, and then longer stretches without some. Just depended on the day.

Yeah it was really fun, but I wouldn't stand in the middle when a big jet takes off... so many people and their stuff just goes flying!!
