I will agree with his talent. True Detective (his acting and Woody Harrelson's) showcased maybe the finest acting work I've ever seen. I was completely blown away watching that show.

Matthew has insane stage presence. I was engrossed the whole time watching him describe that scene.
Mikhail Kalashnikov that is so damn true. he just nailed it in the way he described the ny porch scene narration. that is oscar award winning talent with 25 yrs of experience in a field(mastery) talking. it is alwats a pleasure to watch a master at work, whatever be the field of mastery. and Matt McConaughey is a sensei in his chosen field.

SolitaireKid Go watch the movie "Gold". It was amazing to see him pack on 40lbs, balding, and generally about as physically disgusting as I am. It also had the benefit of being a really good movie.

I fucking love it whenever Colbert has guests on who can't help fanboying/fangirling over him. I think McConaughey takes the crown from Chris Meloni.

That's I one of my favorite movies.
I absolutely LOVED Exit 57! I laughed so hard at the first sketch in the very first episode, where an idealistic office worker (Jodi Lennon) writes "Practice Random Acts of Kindness" on a piece of paper, folds it into a paper airplane, and tosses it out her office window. The plane then hits a man on the street (Stephen Colbert) directly in the eye. So beautifully done.
I love how Stephen has used the line "I'm not pushing you away. I'm just pulling me closer to myself" three times. Once in Exit 57, once in Strangers With Candy, and again in the SWC movie. Awesome to see where the line originated from considering it's fucking gold.

Late to the party I guess, but man am I glad I finally arrived. So used to seeing Stephen fanboying hard every now an then, and I love it every time it happens, but man is it nice to see someone genuinely fanboying about him, and then having it be Matt McConaughey, mind blown :D

Possibly one of the funniest shows on TV. It is really difficult to find on youtube, A couple here and there... Does anyone remember Amy posing as the model for a sculpture of a squirrel? or "Vicki! You've got to get it together!", then of course Salmon..... Classic!!! Please release more!!!! Brilliant!!

Exit 57 was awesome. 1995 was when I first saw Comedy Central. We had a satellite dish. Exit 57, Kids in the Hall, Politically Incorrect. Awesome. The '90s were cool. Now sucks.

That was amazing. I was never really interested in Matthew McConaughey but this video alone made me a fan. The guy has such presence and charisma. The scene alone where he describes the porch is gold!

This is awesome. I thought I was the only one who was obsessed with Exit 57. could never understand why it was canceled. I spent so many years looking for the Jesus song ( one of my favorite things) that I forgot Stephen was on it. Comedy Central should replay them all. Every time I see a cake I think of the opening song...lol

Say what you want, he's a force of nature in front of a camera. As a deep drama club kid thespian, I feel like he's trolling most everyone with his life, endorsement, and public comments. Andy Kaufman style, but without letting anyone know he's a comedian.

The whole I'm not pushing you away I'm pulling me towards myself ends up being used a couple times since then. First in Strangers with Candy the tv with Jellineck saying the line to go off and become an artist while Noblet was jealous of not pursuing his rockstar dreams. In the Movie version Noblet says it as he's breaking up with Jellineck in the beginning. (DINELLO'S WRITING IS A1 SERIOUSLY)
