There were at least 3 FULL episodes shot during Season 2 that had nothing to do with Season 2 and from what some set-building and designer friends I have worked with previously on other movies and tv shows tell me, NONE of that footage was included in Season 2 which they have already seen.
So, is it for a shortened Season 2.1 type prequel to Season 2 ??? Is it for future flashbacks that are actually "Full Episodes" in coming Seasons ???
Nobody seems to know including the actors, some of whom are actual Producers on the show now.
They already started filming season 3 in the summer !

Defo bigger than I imagined when reading the books but they have nailed it . Trying to remember the book but at the beginning Reacher was looking a bit rough , bust nose using duck tape to keep it together 😅 surprisingly not many passer-by’s wanted to stop and give him a lift which he thought odd 😂

Alan has become my favorite actor. I think he has a good chance at being the next Batman considering his build and fantastic acting.

This has become my overall favorite series. Fun plot lines, intense action, smart badass female characters and Reacher himself is just a beast. Lets goooo!
He is really growing into this role. Both physically, actually growing, and in his acting abilities portraying Reacher. He's doing a GREAT JOB. Hope he keeps making Reacher seasons for a long time to come.

I still fondly remember sitting down to watch the first episode late one evening, just going to check it out. I ended up watching the whole season straight through. I almost never do that. Didn't get hardly any sleep that night, and I didn't care. Worth it. Looking forward to Season 2 is an understatement.

@@somebody700 exactly! To me casting Tom Cruise as Reacher was as bad of an idea as when Tyler Mane was cast as Michael Myers. The whole idea behind Myers is that he's average sized man with superhuman psychopathic strength and intelligence, not some nearly 7ft pro wrestler. Just like the key element of Reacher is his size and intimidating presence. Both Cruise and Mane are just not authentic to the characters they tried to portray.

I'm stoked for this! As a fan of the novels I loved the first season, which I've watched twice now. Alan Ritchson's portrayal of Jack Reacher is spot on. He has just the right look and persona, and of course is built like a walking tank, as Reacher should be. A perfect casting choice.

i remember watching him in the secret circle as a teenager, then in titans, and now he just takes this role so much further. he just IS reacher in my mind at this point, no other actor could do it as well.

I still can’t believe Thad Castle is reacher. Never in a million years did I think he could play a hardened military character, yet here he is killing it!!

With that being said, I'm glad he wasn't cast as Shazam because if he was, he wouldn't've been cast as Jack Reacher which he was born to play.

I could watch 15 seasons of Reacher and be glued every minute. I didn’t think they could top season 1 and they did. I can’t wait for season 3.
Alan Ritchson is quickly becoming my favorite action hero and he is doing it from a show instead of movies. His acting range has a depth I did not expect after the laughs he provided in Blue Mountain State. 5 Seasons and a movie!
He was good in Titans (an HBO superhero show) too.
Its 6 seasons and a Movie and Jack Reacher already had a movie.
He will always be a graduate of Blue Mountain State to me.

During the first episode Jack Reacher learns that the man he is wrongfully accused of murdering is actually his own brother, and he then swears to find out who did it and kill every last one of them. That sums up season 1. Or at least it could be put that simple. So how is one great, while the other one sucks?
It challenged my ability to suspend disbelief to watch the money launder operation in season 1, because I think that that process would render the bills completely useless, because there would be trace amounts of detergent and chemicals on the bills that would be easily detectable.
A scheme to sell a truckload of manpads on the black market seemed a lot more credible to me.
At least - season 2! Hope to see Alan Ritchson playing Reacher for a long time to come. I always liked David Donovan, Reacher's buddy from the 110th, in this story. He doesn't have Reacher's physical presence but he makes up for it with a knuckle duster and a ceramic knife. Useful guy to have around.
The only show I’ve ever not been able to walk away from. Great casting, great writing, great execution, absolutely love it.

I read the books a decade ago, Reacher Season 1 is the BEST adaptation I have ever seen! The flaws of the book were even faithfully adapted. Alan is perfect as Reacher just exactly as I envisioned it reading the books.
Except the ending 😂 it was just so bad and crappy... Like some Claude van Damme movie. Less is more. Like in the books. But I guess this makes it more mainstream.

Also in the first 3 episodes of season 2 every time they don't stick to the book it gets so cheesy and bad... The airbag scene... Jesus Christ the scene in the book would have been so much better. Where they sticked quite close to the books in season one, you can already recognize that they put a lot of "additional" action to the series at season two just watching 3 episodes...
This is definitely in my top 5 best shows of all time. Season 1 was so good I can’t wait!!!

Thrilled that not only did they pick this character/series, but also that they chose to make it a show rather than stand alone movies. You can tell a much broaded/deeper story in this format, which I love. Glad to see Season 2 and read that they are already working on Season 3.

Alan Ritchson is awesome. The podcast he did with Michael Rosenbaum was a great listen and from how he described the filming of season 1, I hope they made his life a lot easier for season 2. This just made my day.

perfect concept for a series - base each season on a seperate book. It keeps the concept fresh and stops everything becoming stale. Do NOT under any circumstances change the lead -- he is perfect for the role and DO stay true to the source material

I've listened to all the jack reacher books . Absolutely love it. Around 28 books. The portrayal of reachee in the first season was fantastic and was ver closely based on the book.

Read the original book The Killing Floor for the real Roscoe. She and Reacher have a different relationship than the series. The series waters down who Reacher is somewhat by changing Roscoe to something she evidently was not in the book

Anyone who’s read any of the books will struggle like I did to accept Tom Cruise as Reacher. But Alan Ritchson is much more like the character in the books and it’s adds so much to the TV series, can’t wait for series 2.
I thought Cruise got the idea of Reacher, just not the physicality.
I think Cruise had the mannerism down, he played the part very well, but obviously he couldn't impose on people physically like Alan can. So Alan is definetely the better Reacher.

Bad luck and trouble was my favourite book in the series, closely followed by the hard way, looks like they’ve done an amazing job transferring it to TV
Hard way was 1st book I read of the series as my dad said I think you might like this. It’s your birthday hands legs or arms 😱. Pretty much read most but last few by Lee Child with his brother have been a bit lost and meh .
@@robertdocherty2340 yeah I think I preferred the pure Lee child stuff, I think those stories were more brutal which is what you want in a Jack Reacher story. That said, I enjoyed the most recent entry where he’s recruited for his skills as an investigator rather than his size.
We will want season 3 ASAP, don't let Ritchson get taken away by another company! He can make his name as Reacher and become the next Action Star

@@Jaxxson. He's not small, but he is by no means an A lister yet. Don't think he has had a lead role in a major movie to my knowledge. I still think he is most known for Blue Mountain State. I am hoping that his excellent work on this show will keep getting his name out there. I have loved him in this role. Fits is perfectly

@@etherspinI think the series format works well to depict the detail of the books. On film you’re restricted to trying to get the story told in 3 hours, whereas 8 60-90 minute episodes allow so much more storytelling.

Bad Luck and Trouble is my favorite Reacher book. So psyched to see it adapted into this series.
I'm hoping for "Nothing to Lose". I've read that book so many times that the spine is falling apart.
I can't wait to see "Gone Tomorrow". I loved that book. It's probably still holds the record for the fastest I've ever read a Lee Child book

Part of me wishes they followed the books in order, but skipping to this story makes sense for watchers who have not read them. This going to be a fun ride.
As someone who has taken and studied Lee Child`s writing courses that the books were in his words, by design, written so they are not connected to each other so people could pick any of them up and enjoy it as its own story without having to have to read any of the other books. :)

Just watched the 3 episodes we were allowed but so gutted I’ve got to wait for the next episode. This is the best thing I’ve watched since season one. Actors are amazing. Thank you. Can’t wait for the next episode 😅😅😅

The sheer visceral catharsis I get from watching this badass vigilante character is hard to put into words. It is just so much fun seeing him take out bad guys. I just wish he was real. The world could do with a billion Reachers.

Had the incredible luck of bumping into Robert Patrick at a con last year. He is seriously one of the most down to earth all around nice guys who will just hang out and shoot the shit. He had mentioned this but did not go into great detail. He did say that the fans are going to love it.

he said he's not doing season 3 because of other projects but theyve just signed Harry Styles to play the Reacher Role for season 3.

Amazon has nailed this new Reacher. Ritchson is amazing in this role, whole casts excel in their roles.
Man the moment they finalized this actor to be the Reacher on this show, it was guaranteed going to be a hit!! Now just get the seasons going and we will give you all the views that you need!
Would have never thought that Thad Castle could play a serious/smart guy role but Ritchson crushed the first season and I’m excited to see this one as well
His character in Smallville is similar to Reacher.
Just finished season two and YES! Chef kiss 😘 I genuinely felt worried for the characters. Such a great show and the seasons were different but felt so connected. I’m bias, I liked the season 1 better but that was my intro to Reacher so it will have a special place but this did not disappoint. Everyone involved in this did an amazing job, crew and actors. The final diner scene made me laugh so hard lol

I liked both of the Tom Cruise's movies, especially the first one. But Alan Ritchson gives the character much more of a commanding presence and kickass mannerism. Tom Cruise's version was more of a spy/detective while this version looks more like a soldier/survivor. I hope Ritchson gets more recognition in the industry because he's a great actor.
Cruise made it for pure vanity reasons. I watched them, enjoyable enough. But he could have been any action hero. It wasn't Reacher.
If ever there were to be a representation of Bad Luck and Trouble, this is EXACTLY how I would have imagined it to have looked like. So happy they chose this book for season 2!!!!
Hum so they aren't going in sequence in the books because this is book 11 interesting. Radi good call on correctly calling out the book finally someone who actually reads. Reacher is actually 6"5 so even Alan is 3 inches shy of the books titular character. here is a fun fact Roscoe and Neagley were not in the first book or in this case the first season.
The books are 10 times better and there are 26. Instead of waiting for a new season to drop people might consider reading the books. Frances Neagley not Neely doesn't appear until book 6 "Without Fail" and then in book 11 "Bad Luck and Trouble" which this 2nd season is based on. Neagley suffers from a condition called "Haptephobia, which is a fear of being touched " she states that she was born with the condition. Her relationship with Reacher is strictly platonic. First of all book adaptations always without fail ruin the story by changing or adding characters or timelines. I am not a fan of going out of order it messes everything up. Fun fact the author Lee Child is British.................. @@boodesultan12

I discovered season 1 just a few months ago. Intended to just check out the first episode and wound up bingeing the entire season. Cannot wait for season 2 and I hope season 3 is in the works!
I too discovered the show a few months ago from the TH-cam shorts. Then I immediately binged for three days and watched the entire season. What a gem of a show with great casting, acting, and essentially non-stop action. I couldn't have asked for a better program.

READ THE BOOKS THEY ARE AWESOME. That said, the last GREAT ONE, IMO was Midnight Line. After that they sorta feel like the sizzle is gone. I suggested to the publishers that if they continue the series as novels they might want to consider giving us REACHER as AN MP. There's tons of material to be gleaned from that.
