Beautiful truck. Sadly, I think the early 2020s will be remembered as the last breath of legendary Toyota reliability and quality. While I don't think Toyota will ever be a brand as bad as Chrystler or Audi, I do think the days of 300,000+ mile Toyotas is essentially at an end. The new turbo hybrids are more or less assured to have major problems 100k-200k in, with few lasting to 250k. It's why I'll never sell my 5th gen 4Runner and why I'd never sell that Thundra if I had one.

I do plan on replacing them via black friday in a few months. Fun fact, when I bought those tires with 17 miles on the truck I paid $301 per tire. Now they are $411 with Bidenflation.....three years and an increase of 37% in three years. Sheesh! Maintenance wise I have done front and rear diff fluids at 50,000 miles. I am getting ready to have the brake fluid, transmission fluid, and radiator fluids all changed here in the next month. That would be a great setup. I currently have a 24 Tundra but may end up going to a 20 to 21 if any problems arise. I still love overall look of the previous Gen.
Love the underground 4runner in the garage . Just got the underground Land Cruiser. Looks awesome when cleanup. . Hard to keep clean of the dust etc. bit one of the best new colors.
I really like your truck. I like the F150 Coyote though too, with the larger infotainment. The only thing that kind of bothers me with the 2021 Tundra is the smaller infotainment screen. But I guess you could upgrade that if you wanted to.
It’s a keeper. As usual, I agree with everything you stated. The relative simplicity of the technology, and the same with the body compared to the “busy” new Tundras, is so much better. The supposed gas mileage saved with the turbo garbage is truly de minimis. We have to remember the numbers published by OEMs in that regard border on fantasy since they’re not based on real driving. Anyone with a bit of brain matter realizes the garbage turbo technology fails any common sense cost-benefit analysis. The dogs are very handsome by the way! I’ve always had larger dogs like yours, and not little dainty ones. Speaking of dainty, I’m glad you clarified later in the video your Tonka Truck reference with the door handles. I was worried, for the moment, you were looking for something more dainty for driving to afternoon tea 😂 🫖 Daintier door handles would probably clash with your rugged yet sleek Tundra.
Thanks brother! I absolutely love the simplicity of this Tundra... and unmatched peace of mind when it comes to reliability. It just works! =] Haha yeah the tonic truck handles are great... I just remember being a little confused when I saw them for the first time. And thanks, the dogs are spoiled!

I’ve had a 201 tundra trd limited off road 4x4 in cavalry blue, I miss the truck it was beautiful and the v8 but honestly it wasn’t a perfect truck by any means, the payload was absolute trash and a joke, it was too huge to off road with such a long wheel base and not even a mechanical limited slip for being a trd off road. That would be a great setup. I currently have a 24 Tundra but may end up going to a 20 to 21 if any problems arise. I still love overall look of the previous Gen.
@@hardwaterfanatic both gens look good but there’s something about the last gen that makes me like it a bit more.
AWESOME TRUCK.
my 2021 toyota tundra TRD PRO LUNAR ROCK WITH 928 MILES ON IT THE LOWEST IN THE COUNTRY I BLEVE. AND I LOVE IT
@@waqarsyed6641 wow that’s incredible! 😳
When you were showing the 5.7L V8 engine I noticed that the positive battery cable cover was off. Any reason for that?
No reason. I had jumped a car ith this a few months ago... I Hadn't noticed... good eye!
👍🤠
Just keep the truck. Keep reviewing other vehicles.
That's the plan. There's no truck that I like more.. It's my favorite! =]
If you want to get rid of it, let me know! I will buy it.
Haha no plan to sell atm.. But I will keep you in mind -if that time comes. Thx
Love the underground 4runner in the garage . Just got the underground Land Cruiser. Looks awesome when cleanup. . Hard to keep clean of the dust etc. bit one of the best new colors.
Thanks brother. Congrats on your Land Cruiser! Underground is for sure the best color for 2024 (in my biased option, of course lol). Love it.
You would be foolish to sell the most reliable, discontinued pick up ever made. Keep it forever.
Agreed. It's here to stay this time! Challenge accepted! =]
Just took out a deer in mine, the front unscathed. These things are tanks 😎
New ones are designed to protect the deer at the cost of your vehicle
@@ryandoyle4344🤣😂
Dang. Glad to hear everyone/thing was okay!
Any rubbing on your 295 70 18 tires thinking of the same setup
Surprisingly enough... No rubbing!
Do you have a lift or level kit with the 295 70 18?
Nice truck!! What color is that?👍🏼
@@anthonyv2645 thanks brother! 🙏 it’s called Lunar Rock
I really like your truck. I like the F150 Coyote though too, with the larger infotainment. The only thing that kind of bothers me with the 2021 Tundra is the smaller infotainment screen. But I guess you could upgrade that if you wanted to.
Thanks Jeff! I really like the F150's coyote engine too. I'm always blown away by how nice the Ford's interior is. Excellent visibility in them too!
Big fan here. Don’t sell that truck! I’m keeping my 2.5 platinum forever! Like you said! That’s a TRuCK! Keep it!
In 10 years time if you still had this, you would be smiling everytime you hear that roaring V8 and the rest of the world is driving an aluminum fridge.
Amen to that! =]
Untamed! You have the one! If you want a pick up what else is there? Don't sell it my man. Oh, update on that Underground 4-Runner... it sold! Lol...
Haha thanks brother. I'm super happy with this truck. No plans to sell this time around! =]
If California didn't charge full sales tax on paid price for each car purchase, I'd trade cars more often too.
Michigan too. 😢
Keep it. Wish I could buy it from you. Out of my price range though lol
Haha thankfully it's here to stay! =] Hope you're able to snag one soon though. You will absolutely love it.
How much you wanna sell it for?
Your little ones will be driving dad’s truck one day! Generational truck!
Man that’d be awesome =]
What size tires are you running this time around?
These are 295/70r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
@@UntamedMotorsI have the same truck. I struggle with getting the stock size 275-65r18 or the 295-70r18 like you have. I don't want clearance or ride quality issues.
You literally have two of the best Toyotas ever made. Selling either is massive L on your part.
Thanks man. Agreed. No plan to sell either! =]
you new here? hes going to sell it man.
No offense, but if you sell that, you are nuts.
Haha I agree... It's here to stay this go around!
@@UntamedMotors you better, cause you may never buy another truck like that, especially new. Maybe an American brand, but who wants that shit. My 06 Tacoma PreRunner has 360,000 on the odometer. Sold it to my nephew three years ago. He loves it. It’s rolling like new. I am Considering a Frontier Pro-X or SV. 👍
So- how many miles on it when purchased? Has 10k now? Or you put 10k on it?
It had around 3500 miles on it when I bought it. Now 10K.
TRD PRO sucks on the 3rd gen, but the Platinum trim is [chef’s kiss]
I’ve been watching long enough to know the answer to this question. You treat vehicles like toilet paper! 😂
Love my 21 tundra as well.. never parting with it
No better truck… especially anywhere near the price range.
Nice set up . Are you running those tire size on a stock trd ?
Keep
It's here to stay this time! =]
Sell it to me!
Haha I can keep you in mind... but as of now, I have no plans to part with it.
Only a fool would sell.
It's here to stay this time around! Not making that mistake again! =]
Beautiful TRD Pro, if it were my truck I would consider adding the TRD Rear Sway bar to help with stability/corning but besides that its perfection.
Thanks brother! That's a good idea. Hmmm I've never considered that until now... But you're right, this truck stock handles like a naval ship, haha.
@@UntamedMotors No problem! I test drove a 21 Pro in Lunar Rock and man it handled just as you described a naval ship. I test drove a platinum with the standard suspension but the previous owner had installed the TRD Rear sway bar kit and it was a huge difference. I think they are around $300 bucks or so. Well worth the money!
Keep for sure! No question! Your kids ... grand kids could drive it! It's that good!
Amen to that! =] It's here to stay.
The truck was unnecessarily big but they put a tiny bed in the back. It’s a good family mover and road trip freeway truck for light Home Depot runs but that’s where it shines
I hear you on that. It's not perfect and not the ideal pick for many folks... It was an acquired taste for me too tbh.
DO
NOT
SELL
Haha I’ve made that mistake too many times before. Not this time.
Don’t get the Raptor. Keep the Tundra. That thing is a gem! If I were you I’d throw a Magnuson super charger on it! It would be fun and great content for the channel. 👊🏻
Haha thanks man. The Tundra is here to stay this time. =] I'd like to try that... would be a fun change of pace no doubt. =]
Keep the Tundra and the 4runner.
They're both here to stay! =]
Look man, I’m just gonna put out that there I’m claiming this truck when it goes on sale next week.
The exact truck I'm looking to get. You sell that and you'll regret it for years to come.
You’re absolutely right about that. No plans to part with it! =]
I just got into a 21 gx460.. and it's my personal opinion that these trucks will eventually shoot up in price. They will be highly sought after like the 70's series that are slowly trickling into the country.
Congrats man! Solid pick. Agreed, people are already starting to miss these “old and archaic” platforms. Simplicity and reliability is priceless. 👌
I'll take it off your hands man.
Don’t get rid of it. I have the same exact truck in the Army Green color. I’m glad I never got the new TRD Pro.
This one is here to stay! =] Niiice. I LOVE Army Green, best color for the Tundra TRD Pro!
Stock front end?? What speed roughly on impact?
looks great ! also glad your going to keep it
Sell it when Tundra gets new v8.
I would buy the truck to me.
Awesome truck. Just put a supercharger and cold air intake and would smash the new tundra and still be cheaper!!! Great looking....
@@richardstralow6314 Thanks man! I’d love to experience a supercharged V8 Tundra. Heard only good things! 👌
Listen to me!!!! Supercharge this thing before you sell it !!!
Man I’d love to try that! Hmmm 🤔
I’ll buy it if you want to sell it!!
Do not sell this truck! I have nothing but regrets selling the exact same truck. 😢
@@OdysseyOffroad I always had a pit in my stomach letting this truck go before. Won’t make that mistake again. =]. Have you considered getting another?
