Greetings Dr. Chaffee, I believe the bible says God created our first human parents named them in first ch. of Genesis , and They were Adam and Eve . So the Jewish Nation has real history behind Their Knowledge. And meat was a main part of their diet and maybe vegetables were good in the past but I believe they have been changed by the chemicals that have been the result of, don’t you think that’s right ? But trying to eat for heath and because we are made in Gods image the book of Genesis says not monkeys or what evidence is The Truth ; I believe the bible declares that God is the Creator of heaven and earth , No evolution : Gods revelation is His Salvation because He so loved the World . Do you remember that Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the Sin of the world .’So he ate meat and of corse fish and He enjoyed it !
Hi their I have to define what I stated previously cause of deep faith in Jesus is the Lamb of God being an Old Testament prophecy in Isiah 9: 6; and the Jewish people were told though revelation from Isiah that God is rules the Nations then and Now so I want Him also rule my mind and heart . And Yes I Eat the meat mostly and have lost almost all extra fat but need to exercise more and firm up more . And thank you for your encouragement….
1:10:00 'takes months to repair leptin resistance before weight comes off.' Instead of saying that most people lose weight on carnivore, these experts should be saying that the very obese people often lose weight soon on carnivore and it takes the longest for people to lose the last 30 pounds, and for those with lifelong weight problems or yo-yo diets who need to repair hormones first.
Yeah. Even when I push the boundaries of the carnivore diet, my weight loss might stall or I might gain weight, but I still feel better than when I eat the SAD.

Not always. Eating only rabbits is theoretically carnivore but doing so would give you rabbit starvation eventually leading to death.
Not always. Eating only rabbits while eating carnivore is theoretically possible, but only by eating excess fat from rabbits while doing so. As this would prevent rabbit starvation, avoiding death through protein poisoning. You would need a lot of rabbits though, as rabbits are generally 19% fat, and 81% protein, thus throwing out a lot of protein.
From stage 2a cancer in October 2023 to non detectable as of aug 2024... lost about 95lbs over that same time... i feel like my mid 30s again, libido and muscle
13 years raw vegan… I’m carnivore diet 5+ years carnivore. I’m just starting to eat this last year… my first year carnivore I lost 58 lbs… but broke 13 bones my 4 th year in… I was told not to fast and just eat… what I didn’t realize I need to eat more to repair my 13 year raw vegan body.. im 66, love life.. I have lymphedema and I wish I was healther… but I’m very greatful I am where I am in my carnivore journey… Thank u for your message to the world… my carnivore diet isn’t perfect… I still do coffee… but not as much anymore… I have days with out coffee… it should be easy for me to give up! But not there yet! I use it mostly as a social interaction… as I am very alone with my carnivore diet… people think I’m going to die… any day… but. I Keep getting better… I can feel my body changing all the time.
Get you a really good vibration plate. My swelling goes down with it I just bought the basic 200.00 from lifepro And put it on high Start out slow because your body will hurt You just don't realize what stagnates in our tissue and lymph nodes And when you use the vibration plate (which chiropractors Hospitals orthopedic doctors do) It will make such a huge difference Kerris wife from homestead how does too. Im so glad I finally broke down and bought one It also helps with any pain You can even start out sitting down Now I can do it 10 minutes on high 2× a day At first I had to sit down But no swelling anymore Unless I eat burger patties from fast food which is rarely
I'm glad you realize it will take time for your body to heal. Stick with it. I've been ketovore/carnivore for 3 years so far. (I'm thinking of trying the vibration plate too, like someone else suggested)
@Fiftyfive45 In my opinion, coffee isn't a problem. It is when people add lots of crap to it that it is or if they "need" lots of it to manage. It doesn't sound like Wanda is in that situation at all.
I love the attitude to supplements. If you can get nutrients from food that’s where we should get them. If we can’t (for various reasons) use a supplement. Thank you. If influencers are selling supplements instead of eating healthier I reduce my intake of their influence.
@@necrocraftronix5522 they are both increasing cortisol but in different ways, one is chronic stress, the other is a short stress period with a short cortisol response
I'm 60 years old, strict carnivore with one exception, black coffee, it's the only vice that I continue to enjoy. 5' 11 inches, weigh 155 lbs, same weight I was in High school. I feel great, so will continue to enjoy my coffe ritual in the morning 🌄
We are both on SS and cannot afford to buy any steaks. We subsist on some seafood, mostly ground beef from Aldi's (it's the Best), water, salt, eggs, all kinds of cold cuts, and dairy. I call myself carnivore as I have lost my T2D, arthritis and 43 pounds of rampant blubber ! Carnivore for life right here, typing away, my only exercise !
Aldi owner is a Globalist he would be putting an anti farting bloating chemical into their animal feed! All supermarket meat has it.Grassfed is the way to go.
Seafood is more expensive than ribeye. Living large. Frozen beef patties at Aldi are the best deal ever 75/25 beef is perfect. Less than $4 per lb. Chuck roast - cut into thinner steaks or put in slow cooker all day - $6-7 per lb at Aldi. Carnivore is cheap when you get to skip the useless produce aisle.
I have not lost any weight for 6 months. My body composition has changed and my waistline has shrunk. My clothes are getting loose. Losing weight is not important as changing body composition
In general this is true but not if you are so obese that you can't breathe at night, can't move easily. As usual, truisms are mostly true but not all true.
Fat can not turn into muscle, and muscle can not turn in to fat. You can lose or gain fat, and you can build muscle through exercise, but one can not become the other.
@bitrudder3792 No, it's true 100% weight doesn't matter. Body composition matters. Most athletes or gym goes are "obese" by height to weight ratio. But that doesn't tell you their body composition carrying normal to little fat.
I would like to add to Dr. Chaffee mention if the Inuit and other Eskimo tribes. Yes, meat was their sorce of food. Years ago, an entire village would hunt a whale. They wasted NO PORTION. The children ate whale blubber as candy. Fat. They also used it to make oil for their lamps. They thrived on meat and fat!
53yo male living in Australia. My wife and I went carnivore 2 months ago. Have never felt better! Energy is great. Food is great. Lost weight. A little into that journey I decided to go lion diet as I wanted to see if I could improve my psoriasis which I was diagnosed with 23 years ago. Tired of heavy weight immunosupressants and topical steroid muck that barely keeps the condition at bay. Even in the 2 months it does seem to have improved. Less reactive. Not cured nor off meds presently but thats my goal heading into 2025. Blessings to you all. Have a prosperous and healthy 2025 folks!
During my Masters graduate class in school in looking at professional studies and making critiques. I made a submission about Ansil Keys’s Study. My professor gave me an A on the paper I submitted. She wanted to work with me on making a grant submission for the University to do a study. This was immediately shut down by the Dean. The Dean was working on getting a program approved by the American Dietetic Association. This would have been 1982 or 83.
I started my carnivore journey back in September. I gained 35 pounds over the last year thanks to menopause and some mental health challenges. I chose carnivore specifically because everyone and everything I listened to, read, and researched said to eat until you are full. Along with mental health issues, I also have a history with disordered eating. I am one of those who cannot do an "all or nothing" anything, esp when it comes to food, so I am one of those you speak about that hasn't gone all in. It might be great for my physical health, but I would spiral into a "Less is More" mindset long before I would observe and accept the physical improvements. I have lost 15 pounds in 4 months which may not sound like much, but for me, it's a miracle for me because I haven't spiraled into disordered eating. Also, my blood sugar has leveled off, and I haven't suffered a low spell AT ALL in the last 4 months. My clothes are starting to fit again, and I can visually see the positive body composition changes in the mirror, which keeps the ED deamons in check. Bless you for your work, but please don't hammer the thought that all or nothing "strict" carnivore is the best way. Had I done that, I would be worse off, not better. ***I know this is my personal story, and not the "average" story, but there are extremes and outliers on either side of what is "average/normal," and we matter too.
Susan, that was very well said. I don't touch long fasts for the same reason. I too have a history of eating disorder. Intermittent fasting is the farthest I will go. I have found success and sustainability in alternating between ketovore and carnivore. I've been doing this for three years now. I lost 90 lbs and have maintained this loss for quite a few months now.
I haven’t been absolutely 💯 carnivore since I started 9 months ago…but I can tell you that even eating carnivore 90% right has turned my life around health wise in the right direction
When I was younger and was breastfeeding my kids I ate a lot of spinach salad because all of my kids were born in the summer. I did eat meat but tons of leafy greens and my babies had such bad stomach craps they would scream for hours and I didn’t know what the hell was wrong. Until I got older and started having stomach issues after I would eat spinach or kale. Now I’m just eating meat and my issues have cleared up. ❤
39F who started Carnivore at 220 lbs. Was only able to lose weight when I stopped cheating on carbs/sugar around twice a week. Over the last 4 months, I've lost 45 lbs and 4 inches around the waist. Walked 8-10k steps on the threadmill daily and ate egg yolks, shrimp in butter, salmon, sous vide chuck roast, canned sardines, ribs without any seasoning and a very small amount of cheese. Feel alot more healthy and active, and am confident to lose another 25 lbs in 2025. Don't give up and stick to clean carnivore!
Dr. Chaffee’s information remains important and compelling. His improved articulation has made his presentation even more impressive and persuasive. Thanks to both of you. I will share this.
I was in a nursing home/rehabilitation center following knee replacement. Even though I explained I was a diabetic, they only offered carbs and more carbs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They even give cookies and pretzels as snacks to chemo patients while they are being administered chemo, thus feeding the cancer! Horrible, horrible, horrible
I hsve lived my meat raw since childhood. It just tastes better to me and I cant get too much plus I love snacking on frozen salted butter. I do like smoked meats as well and my turkeys for the holidays we are celebrating now have all been smoked. I also only use Redmonds or Baja Gold sea salt as seasoning. This way of eating has made me very happy 73 y/o. When I lived in Alaska with a native tribe and only 4 other non natives we ate subsistence and only the animals we could hunt, fish we could catch and eggs we could gather. It was a wonderful way to live. Those natives who ate SAD had diabetes, cancer, heart disease, etc. And needed my medical services. Access to any grocery store was and is a killer.
I love that. Growing up, I liked to eat ground beef raw and I discovered that liver tasted a lot better raw with a little salt than it did cooked (even though my mom did a pretty good job of making it tasty). One day I decided to try raw chicken to see if it would kill me or give me a severe E. coli infection. No problem with it. Still - I trust our food supply less and less now though. Time for me to order half a calf again, soon. Chickens properly raised are insanely expensive. 😢
Started carnivore. Diagnosis icludes: Neuromyelitis, Hypothyroidism, Lupus and Scleradoma biomarkers, severe depression, migraines, Fibromyalsia, CPTSD, Brain Fog, Neuropathy....it's a party but not a fun party.
So sounds like you have severe carb withdrawals and oxalate dumping combined with Keto flu. Carbs and plants must have messed you up real bad, gonna take time for your body to adjust and heal.
Take at least 3 months to transition.. or rather 6. I've done the same mistake and got severe leg cramping. So now I'm 90% lion with some fruit low in lectins and oxalates (like peach). And after almost a year I feel right a way which fruit is more toxic then the other. So slowly lowering that too.
If you’re coming from a heavy greens/nuts diet you need to know about oxylate dumping. There are some good videos on how to avoid that - it’s a slow process getting well.
Love the esteemed Dr. Chafee. I hope everyone listens to his message on leptin. My wonderful doctor here in Los Angeles focused on my Leptin straight away. As my Leptin improved, everything improved. I don’t compare myself to anyone and just focused on eating a pure carnivore diet. Dr. Chaffee is so generous with his time and knowledge and so grateful.❤
It's always a pleasure to hear Dr. Chaffee! He's so well-spoken and knowledgeable, I feel like I don't want to miss a word. At the end when he was talking about the "reference ranges" for lab tests, I totally agree! Doctors don't even know what the numbers should be for tests, they just rely on the lab to tell them whether it's supposedly "within normal range". Even though you feel like total crap and having lots of health problems, as long as your labs come within that magical range, that means to them your completely fine. Then they treat you as if you have mental problems for insisting you don't feel well! It's very insulting. Also, on vitamin and mineral supplements, the "daily recommended dosage" is wildly inaccurate as well. The recommended doses are based on what is needed to just barely keep you alive, not to have optimal health!
I went keto 5 years ago, then went full carnivore 1 year ago. Now I am starting a Lion diet. I love this way of eating and it has changed my life. BUT I am reluctant about having any government agency banning foods. People need to make their own decisions. I will never go back to eating the way I once did but I think if someone wants to go out and eat bags of Doritos washed down with cases of Mountain Dew, they should have the right to do that. Banning foods is slippery slope. Who’s to say next year that a vegan gets some power and goes out and says meat is harmful and bans it. We must always support individual freedoms or in the end we will lose ours.
Similar story here, and I agree with this mentality. We can correct the information on diet, require more accurate labeling, or even put warning on foods. I would not be opposed to a label on bags of sugar warning what it may, "most probably definitely will, in my opinion" cause.
Mexico has gone heavy-handed with control over some of the things people eat. It was almost impossible to buy real butter at the grocery stores last time we went. They have an all out war on salt. So this time I brought a container with sea salt in it. Everything is cooked in vegetable oil as well. The best thing I had at a restaurant was some kind of super slow cooked fatty lamb, and I tried not to think about the vegetable oil marinade that probably went on it. And we bought meat from the grocery store, and the healthiest type of eggs we could find. And we only stay in accommodations where we can cook for ourselves. Which really means me more than my husband. But if I pre-cook hard boiled eggs he will go for those.
I think it's only certain ingredients and insecticides that will be banned. Where as process foods will probably be subject to heightened awareness campaigns about what u are ingesting. For example, every1 surely knows how bad coca cola is, yet folks still drink it.
When I was a child in Germany, there were no cereals. The rabbits were given oatmeal in the stable. We could eat boiled eggs or bread with lard as snacks. On Sundays, we had homemade cake. On Mondays, my mother cooked fresh cocoa with real milk; there was no diluted milk yet.
That is heartbreaking to hear. I’m so sorry. I was fortunate to have been fed buttery scrambled eggs. There was bread or tortilla too but that fat and protein made a difference.
A few months ago I cooked a huge rib eye. It looked so good I put a big chunk of butter on it a took a pic and put it on my FB page. A friend responded with ‘Yuk’. The problem was the butter. Did I not know that I was killing myself with cholesterol?? I did my best to explain to him but he was a lost cause. Totally brainwashed and so sure of his information.
It's a shame the industry is killing off our animal protein. The culling of poultry and beef and beef at a severe low will make these real foods hard to get if this isn't corrected.
This is probably the best time in history to have your voice heard when it comes to health. Regardless of what you think of the incoming president, his team did ask Joel Salatin To advise the USDA. That is massive. It brings the opportunity to show the world that raising cattle and other livestock is good for the environment, good for the climate, good for people... You just need to use common sense and make it easier for small operations to get their food to market at reasonable prices (one of the practical things he's been working on). It's also an opportunity to talk more about adaptive grazing and how it literally can change the climate, it has been demonstrated many times. Different parts of the world. We definitely Need to start drifting away from the giant operations that are so unhealthy, and creating networks of food production across the entire country. No one should starve. And I don't mind if a bunch of people do vegetable gardening and like eating that stuff (I think about as "treat" food now), that's fine with me. But animals are key in restoring fertility. And growing food and animals like to eat, and growing it right where they live, that makes sense. Study Permaculture and it's easy to see that even if you want to be more vegetarian, animals are brilliant. Sending the chickens first to scratch the heck out of the land and clear of a lot of the weeds. They are simultaneously fertilizing. Then you can drop in grass seed that's beneficial for cattle and create grasslands and raise your cattle with adaptive grazing that maximizes grass growth while feeding the animals. You might move the animals somewhere else and start another Project and plant fruit trees to sell to people who like to eat fruit, And you plant a guild under the trees of different edible and medicinal and Nitrogen fixing and pest control plants to keep your fruit healthy and when pests come you sending the ducks in - ducks don't destroy your plantings but they do eat the pests. Then you have all kinds of things to sell, peas, beans, herbs, Garlic and onions and such. Do you want some ponds? Bring in the pigs and some water and let them wallow in it until they create an almost in permeable barrier on the bottom to hold water. Do you have a Hill? Use Keyline strategies to bring the water down the hillside where you want it to be. For the first time in a long time we have someone health minded being given a voice to speak to this country. Let's make the most of it. We can make everybody happy whether they eat carnivore or not, but animals are absolutely necessary for the sustainable success of any food raising venture.
So so grateful to have found carnivore and all of you speaking about it. I have 20 years of feeding 5 children garbage to slowly undo. It’s devastating. Talking to them about food now and have changed what’s in the home and prayers for the rest of the changes they will need to make on their own.
Back in the 60s or 70's my father ( born in 1913 ) refereed to Doctors as "pill pushers". I was very young at that time and was unable to get him to elaborate. Our problem with Doctors is not new.
Back in the day, my father referred to our family doctor as "a pill doctor". Doctors only know symptomology and pharmacology. 99.999% of doctors cannot even cure T2D or arthritis. I self cured myself by joining the carnivore lifestyle.
I take a lot of supplements but am just getting started on my journey and will wean off them. I had a large DVT in my left leg (entire leg up into my abdomen) in September which was terrifying and have been mostly carnivore since then and now walk several times a day. Jan 1 I’m starting lion diet with butter for 31 days to see how I feel. Goal 1 - get off blood thinners. Jan 2018 - July 2019 I lost 200 pounds on paleo/keto but ended up gaining most back. I’m 61 now and this terrifying health issue is what is motivating me.
@@angeg6065 DVT is Deep Vein Thrombosis - I basically had a blood clot from the bottom of my left leg up into my abdomen and they had to do an emergency thrombectomy (remove as much of the clot as they could) because my leg was blue.
Good on you for giving Lion a go. I did this when I was 156 kg on 28-4-23. I did strict Lion for 3 months and only allowed myself the choice of doing something else at the end of the 3rd month. Crazy, but glad I did as it gave me heaps of time to see how it would go, then really think about where I wanted to go after that milestone. I decided to do a combination Lion/Carnivore and for a long time I was 88kg with no meds, supplements, Dr visits-talk about empowering. Then 3 months ago I got jealous of the rest of the family always eating whatever they wanted, so I slowly digressed. Big mistake as it has triggered all my previous addictions and weight is now 105.5 kg. I’m going back to Lion (already reducing the crap “foods”) so I’m planning by the 11th to be pure Carnivore/Lion again…likely favouring Lion as I know it works so well. My worst addiction is the sugar/chocolate/milk combo…it’s going slowly again though. Good luck on your journey and if you fall off the horse, just get back on as soon as you can. It would have been kinder to my body had I not gone and swapped diets so quickly, rather (as the advice I now hear) is to transition over 3/4 week period. This is for the gut microbiome. Videos such as this one really helped in my motivation levels. I watch plenty in this space and love learning as much as I can. I love how satiating this way of life is, not having cravings is a really big deal.
One if THE BEST EVER interviews I have come across on Carnivore in general, not just to start. And I have been devouring thousands of hours. Bravo! THANK YOU!
Also when I was in my 30’s I started supplementing to ensure my bone density would be optimal. Now I’m 70 yrs old. My Dexa scan last year was the highest my doctor said, as well as the tech, said they had seen in years. So the D3 K2 works.
@Stan6053 the doc I spoke with said he felt that most elderly hip fractures come from the hip breaking from weak bones and then they fall. He said most people are deficient in D3 and it takes a long time to get your D3 levels up.
I have done the keto diet for 10 years, where you eat meat and fat and some veggies and salad. I lost 10kg. In the meantime, I had polyps in my colon removed, and two years ago had a tumour (high grade)and had a Laparoscopy Colectomy done. I had constipation issues and bloating and joint pain. I also suffer from Psorasis and still no cure. Dexa scan showing osteoporosis and osteoarthritis Decided to do Carnivore Diet stared 6 January 2025. Hoping to reverse my illnesses!
Adele Davis’s books were great. They describe evidence of success from her patients. Then Pritikin came along and we dumped the protein! And been overweight ever since! (Btw, spinach was eaten with white sauce made from milk. Back in the seventies, we knew this was necessary to get any benefit from spinach.)
happy new year, I was vegetarian for 20 years, but january 2024 I diside to change my diet to carnivore, today I have my eyes Dr apt bingo my vision improve 20 porcent, my octomologist said that is extrage, he said your eyrs are better than 5 years ago, I told him is due to carnivore diet
It’s always so great to learn from you both! Best interviewer and best guest speaker, and it’s to the point. Thank you again for educating us! May we all enjoy a better future because of it. 😊
I followed the keto diet for six months and then switched to the carnivore diet for another six months, but it's only recently that I started doing it properly. I find it difficult to give up green tea and nuts like walnuts and almonds. Over this time, I’ve lost 13 kg, going from 72 to 59. I also take Manuka honey, which I believe helps with detox. I have an autoimmune condition caused by free radical damage and toxins, and over the past year, I’ve noticed that consuming plants or dairy makes my condition significantly worse. Because of this, I’ve completely eliminated them, along with all carbs.
If you listen to Elizabeth bright she is amazing for information especially re tea and the water it’s grown in and why it’s a definite no as it’s full of fluoride. Once you know why you can let them go.
So glad I saw this! Been on carnivore for almost a month after going keto for a month before it. I lost 1 lb and really confused why I am not losing on the BBB&E diet. Makes so much sense!!!!
Point made at 1:41. The problem is not the dye or processed food. Agree 💯!! Time to get rid of it! Time for these companies and those who regulate it to own up to their actions just like everyone else. If they can put warning labels on the dangers of tobacco then they should do the same with processed food. I.e, "Consuming this product can cause cancer, autoimmune disease and other diseases", if they are unable to remove it from grocery or online shelves.
Overall such a good podcast, I'm really enjoying the information. I do feel compelled to point out that cats do get a fair amount of insoluble fiber in the wild: fur, feathers, the contents of the animals' stomachs. I would really like to see the carnivore community address the fact that wild animals are actually getting fiber.
This podcast will be so helpful to many people. Thank you Dr. Chaffee and Rina👏👏 I especially liked the explanation of lectins and how the play a big role in leptin regulation. Well done.
so informative!! Thank you very much. I just switched from Keto to Carnivore....doing well. but will remove Coffee and cheese. I also do a lot of Sardines, lots of people doing that...only sardines, but I can't do that without a break and having chicken, beef etc. What about vitamin C??? survey ? My body when getting into Keto makes me pee, like crazy!!! One day of almost every 30 min. No keto flu. WHEW
Thank you so much for such an amazing content ... may you all be blessed. Both your complex is glowing. I started Carnivor 5 mths ago, definitely feel so so much better. I Just haven't let go of a few things that are definitely holding me back from loosing wheight. So now I will fully commit ♥️🙏🕊
I'm one of those people who can't absorb folic acid. When I started eating too many greens, I ended up needing emergency surgery for huge kidney stones made of oxalates. My kidneys almost ruptured, the pain was excruciating . I eat mostly fatty meat these days.
My big strong great grand father was a farmer in South Africa born in 1898 lived to age 98 ate a omnivore diet of whole foods mostly meat and fat diet and some veg. He never ate or drank processed foods or much sugar. He spoke mostly of his favourite food was meat with the fat on it his sons ate the same and they were tall very muscular men.
Thnx. Im doing many many sport, so long on carbs and meat/protein 4k/day for years now, works well no need to change. But I have friends doing carni/keto for long now and they told me what changed, I liked that, but need to experience myself on a very long daily base, so I will try this from now on this year. I need to eat more in the future, this is a chance too to increase without more carbs.
I grew up with Adele Davis' books also! My mom loved her, I remember the specifically, "The Doctors Book of Vitamin Therapy"! I remember my mom had tens of bottles of tiny little pills. Each one was a different amino acid. She would separate out how many of each she needed to get just the right amount, lol!
YT has started limiting my channel since Nov. Unfortunately they're suppressing us. Many people reported they can't see the content anymore on their feed, unless they go to the channel page
Hi Dr Anthony Chaffee Great interview I am understanding more and more as the months go bye I haven’t felt this good since my late 20s 64 this year to you an idea I have always trained in jujutsu and a self employed plasterer all my life and know I have no aches and pains like I use to have eg back aches frozen shoulders hip ankles wrist and neck problems and now no aches and pains I know that I few issues to get over eg sugar’s and dairy I am going to cut these out shortly to what more improvements never going back Kind regards Tony From N. Wales UK Many thanks
Before carnivore i would have diahrea most of the time, hemorrhoids and bleeding. It was all blamed on lactose as lactose intolerance and lack of fiber. Not only i was obese and sick but now i lost all that weight, im gaining muscles way easy, my hemorrhoids and bleeding disappeared and my stool is so perfect i just push out and comes perfect and no need to wipe i dont need to use toilet paper.
Im only 95% carnivore, because im not giving up cheesecake and a chocalate milkshake once or twice a month...my main diet is free range eggs and local grass fed ribeye..i also go sometimes 2 to 3 days not eating.or maybe just a super small meal.Any move toward a mostly meat diet.specifically stoppimg the intake of bread and pasta is a great thing..
I live like this last year after 3 months strict carnivore and healthy weight loss of 15kg and diabetes stabilised. But a treat a day on carnivore diet doesn't work and put 12kg back on slowly over the year. So be aware it doesn't work half way. If your body isn't broken might be OK though for a while
I've been ketovore for over a month now. I haven't lost the amount of weight I'd really like to (only 12 pounds) but the difference in my health has been remarkable! Very little trouble going up and down the stairs when in the past I sometimes had to crawl up them on my hands and knees, my arthritis in my hands and neck and back are greatly improved and continue to do better. I just have to keep reminding myself that I didn't gain this weight in a month, expecting it to all go away in a month is probably not realistic. Be patient, enjoy your steak and stay the course.
This is interesting, l just started eating beef roast large servings twice a day! I cheat and have a grapefruit every first meal of the day. I have lost 23lbs.
He is incorrect about wild plants. I harvest wild miners lettuce, dandelion, chickweed to name a few, pine pollen and drink fir needle tea, just like my ancestors did. I feel wonderful after eating wild food!!!
OMG!!!! Thank God!!! I just got to the part about salt and Dizziness, I've been to the hospital twice about it and they keep saying I have "vertigo" but then they did a blood panel and further testing when I came back for a follow up my numbers were great (I was finally not anemic) So I kept eating carnivore and just accepted the fact that I might get dizzy for a couple days once or twice. It was always around my cycle. I started weight lifting about 3 times a week, every time I go I bring electrolytes because it makes sense to do that whenever you workout. Literally this Monday, I was rushing and forgot my water bottle/powder, halfway through the session, my trainer had to damn near carry me downstairs to the sitting area because I was soooo dizzy. I could sit and look at you, but everytime I tired to stand, I could not. I always crave salt and my Man tells me my food is salty compared to his but I literally crave it and won't eat until it's salted af. I'm so grateful Dr. Chaffee started rambling and said that so I couls finally figure it out. It all makes sense. I've been making myself a bottle of electrolytes daily and the dizziness is gone. Side note, I went from 165 to 184, but my waist is 4 inches smaller. In fact I'm heavier than my boyfriend now, but smaller. Its really hard to accept honestly lol. It's very important to take pictures, use a tape measure or waist trainer/beads. Maybe a tight pair of pants. I would have quit if I didn't take a moment to realize "yea I'm heavier, but i can finally fit that pair of jeans" I eat lots of hamburger, bison, pork belly, salmon/shrimp, ribeye and BUTTA. I do eat cheese sometimes and heavy cream in my coffee. But im not pouring half the bottle and snacking on cheese. 98% of my calories is from fatty meat.
Forgot to mention my chest has grown a cup size as well, and its so easy for me to build muscle. I've only had a trainer for 3 months and he is always so visibly shocked at how fast my progress is. Like he keeps asking me if I had prior training or If I lift at home as well. Nope, only twice a week for an hour with him
I was a carnivore for 2 months. Horrible muscle cramps and couldn't sleep at night. I tried increasing minerals and electrolytes. Nothing. I brought back carbohydrates. (honey, vegetables, fruits, coffee) about 10 - 15%, the remaining 85% is meat, fish eggs. Now it's GREAT! I'll try again 100% soon.
I find it hard to believe those who say they’re putting on weight with Carnivore without cheat days. I’m careful not to judge, each of us needs to find our own path. Ultimately, we need to put our own health first. Thank goodness for channels like this that have info we can trust. 👏🇦🇺
I lost 185 pounds and then further weight loss stalled, been stuck around 200-220 pounds for over 2 years, and I'm eating high fat keto zero carb carnivore diet. I can still easily overeat on steak etc, I do best with IF. I have continued to put on more muscle and improved body composition, but I still need to monitor what I eat precisely. I also do over 150 cycle miles a week, lift weights, and walk over 10 miles a day. So, it could just be my active lifestyle pushing me to put on more weight.
@ I’m no medical professional and there’s certainly no judgement but perhaps the weight you’re stalled at is what your body wants for now? Especially being so active. Our bodies truly can be adaptable and ‘tell’ us what we need if receptive.
Dr Chaffee, thank you for all of this information. Please add chronic and severe pain to the list of causes for elevated glucose levels while on the carnivore diet. I have spinal problems. When the pain level is higher, my glucose levels are higher. When the pain levels are lower, so are my glucose levels. My doctor explained that persistent severe pain causes the release of hormones which in turn increase blood glucose levels. Thank you
You really explain things perfectly too the point black and white some other carnivore doctors give so many mixed messages and just don't make sense with dairy to eat or not it seems like a mine field at times !!🙇♀️🤦♀️🤷♀️
It’s January 10 2025 I’m almost 6 months in to this . I’m 51 and was suffering gut health issues and perimenopause . I’ve not cheated not switched it up at all so my body should be well adjusted to this diet . I’m absolutely exhausted all the time and I’ve gained 20 lbs and no I don’t mean 20 lbs of muscle . We need to eat what makes us we'll & feel good
Greetings Dr.
How do you eat carnivore if you have gout? With gout they can only eat chicken and turkey. Please help
It’s better to do the carnivore diet wrong than to do the standard American diet right.
Yeah.
Even when I push the boundaries of the carnivore diet, my weight loss might stall or I might gain weight, but I still feel better than when I eat the SAD.
Not always. Eating only rabbits is theoretically carnivore but doing so would give you rabbit starvation eventually leading to death.
Absolutely !
Thank you

Get you a really good vibration plate. My swelling goes down with it
I just bought the basic 200.00 from lifepro
And put it on high
Start out slow because your body will hurt
You just don't realize what stagnates in our tissue and lymph nodes
And when you use the vibration plate (which chiropractors Hospitals orthopedic doctors do)
It will make such a huge difference
Kerris wife from homestead how does too.
Im so glad I finally broke down and bought one
It also helps with any pain
You can even start out sitting down
Now I can do it 10 minutes on high 2× a day
At first I had to sit down
But no swelling anymore
Unless I eat burger patties from fast food which is rarely
You are not alone❤ I hope you heal well. Sending much love
I'm glad you realize it will take time for your body to heal. Stick with it. I've been ketovore/carnivore for 3 years so far. (I'm thinking of trying the vibration plate too, like someone else suggested)
I would not worry about coffee. Most coffee drinkers live long it’s an antioxidant.

We are both on SS and cannot afford to buy any steaks. We subsist on some seafood, mostly ground beef from Aldi's (it's the Best), water, salt, eggs, all kinds of cold cuts, and dairy. Yes, you can afford steaks if you buy the whole shoulder roll. Even if you have them cut and grind it for you.
People rarely give themselves credit for the fat to muscle transformation. Great to hear your experience.
Fat can not turn into muscle, and muscle can not turn in to fat. You can lose or gain fat, and you can build muscle through exercise, but one can not become the other.
What weight did you start at if you don't mind saying?
@bitrudder3792 No, it's true 100% weight doesn't matter. Body composition matters. Most athletes or gym goes are "obese" by height to weight ratio. But that doesn't tell you their body composition carrying normal to little fat.
I would like to add to Dr. Chaffee mention if the Inuit and other Eskimo tribes. Yes, meat was their sorce of food. Years ago, an entire village would hunt a whale. They wasted NO PORTION. The children ate whale blubber as candy. Fat. They also used it to make oil for their lamps. They thrived on meat and fat!

What a mess of a world. Thank you for sharing.
That's great, but where do you get your fibre from? Do you have problems going to the loo (number two)??

Dr. Google is fun but not believable.
Elizabeth bright is also fantastic and on this channel for helping women with iodine for hypothyroidism etc by using a high fat carnivore
Respect for this man, great interview Nina
This was a wealth of information! Thanks, Dr Chaffee.
I agree totally.
I can never support censorship of any kind, even if we hate what is being promoted, freedom to choose is our human right.
💯
I think it's only certain ingredients and insecticides that will be banned. Where as process foods will probably be subject to heightened awareness campaigns about what u are ingesting. For example, every1 surely knows how bad coca cola is, yet folks still drink it.
When I was a kid my mom would feed me bowl of cereal and skim milk and by 10 am I was so hungry I couldn't see the chalkboard or focus at all!
@ real food it sounds like a meal I would like!
That is heartbreaking to hear. I’m so sorry. I was fortunate to have been fed buttery scrambled eggs. There was bread or tortilla too but that fat and protein made a difference.
People did the best they could with the information we had, turned out to be bad info!
A good reason to get out of the cities
Where are you coming from!
Yep it's more of the we rule the world and every individual in it and have all the money gang 😭😭😂🙏😍🧐😡🧀
It is intentional and diabolical. God have mercy on us.

I have been 8 plus yrs carnivore and yes more fat and meat. Eggs yummy
@@annettelockhart2949 Butter? Coconut oil?
@ yes I eat that as well
Any issues adjusting such as constipation or diarrhea? 💩
@@janiemiller825 EAT more butter.. easy peazy after that.
The Dr. looks fantastic! Skin looks great! Thanks! Great Info!
If you’re eating, honey, you are eating pure carbs so you’re not off all carbs
The honey won't help it doesn't matter what small chemical could be in there hypothetically it's 99.99% sugar and fructose😢
Thank you Anthoney Chaffee, I really hope everyone listens to your message.
Love from Slovenija 🤩🤪😜🫠😇🤗
Hi my name is eddie from lreland dubin on carnivore diet 100 days now .feel great lost a lot of weight
A treasure trove of information ✨️ 14:50 Thank uou so much Dr Chafee for your service
So glad I saw this! Been on carnivore for almost a month after going keto for a month before it. I lost 1 lb and really confused why I am not losing on the BBB&E diet. Makes so much sense!!!!
What did you learned in this video? Thank you.
Fantastic recap ...carnivore 6-8mth .. never going back...thanks guys ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Love doc Chaffee…great interview
Totally agree with the reference ranges of labs. It’s crazy how far off the numbers are. It makes no sense to use the average instead of the optimal!
Any chance of showing those German reference ranges on your channel, maybe making a whole video on them? It would be quite eye-opening for sure!!!
Ii would LOVE to see them; better yet, share the optimal ranges spoken of
Thank you. Dr. Chaffee for all your knowledge which I have experienced a lifetime. . You are much appreciated. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you both ❤
Excellent interview!
Dr.Chaffee, is also a very informative Dr. and learned how and why my body works best just eating meats and upping my salt intake.
Thank you for creating such valuable content. Your ability to explain complex topics in an easily understandable manner is truly appreciated!
WHEW
I love your interviews
The problem is seed oils sugars and grains
Yes. That shite is hidden in everything these days. Pisses me off everytime i have to check the ingredients of everything
Thank you so much for such an amazing content ... may you all be blessed. Both your complex is glowing.
I started Carnivor 5 mths ago, definitely feel so so much better. I Just haven't let go of a few things that are definitely holding me back from loosing wheight.
So now I will fully commit
♥️🙏🕊
I'm one of those people who can't absorb folic acid. When I started eating too many greens, I ended up needing emergency surgery for huge kidney stones made of oxalates. My kidneys almost ruptured, the pain was excruciating . I eat mostly fatty meat these days.
Folic acid is poisonous.
That sounds scary. How are your kidneys doing now?
@verborgenewahrheit 1594 Much better now. It took a while for them to heal though.
Folic acid is synthetic and you don't want to eat folic acid, leave alone, you want real Folate 😊
Thanks for your content
This is the best ! Great class n educating us. So many make it too complicated. Thank you
Thank you for the knowledge God bless you
You've made the right choice. Stick to it.
Such a great video
Excellent interview ... thanks ;
Thank you! Interesting interview
Love to listen to your videos!
Excellent video ...thanks Dr Chaffee 🎉
Just to let you know TH-cam wont let me give younthecthumbs up.
YT has started limiting my channel since Nov. Unfortunately they're suppressing us. Many people reported they can't see the content anymore on their feed, unless they go to the channel page

Hi Dr Anthony Chaffee
Great interview I am understanding more and more as the months go bye I haven’t felt this good since my late 20s 64 this year to you an idea I have always trained in jujutsu and a self employed plasterer all my life and know I have no aches and pains like I use to have eg back aches frozen shoulders hip ankles wrist and neck problems and now no aches and pains I know that I few issues to get over eg sugar’s and dairy I am going to cut these out shortly to what more improvements never going back
Kind regards
Tony

Before carnivore i would have diahrea most of the time, hemorrhoids and bleeding. It was all blamed on lactose as lactose intolerance and lack of fiber. Not only i was obese and sick but now i lost all that weight, im gaining muscles way easy, my hemorrhoids and bleeding disappeared and my stool is so perfect i just push out and comes perfect and no need to wipe i dont need to use toilet paper.
Exactly, saves a ton on toilet roll
Very good information. I went and read the MCE report. Very telling.
Excellent interview. Thank you.
What about wild sardines with skin and bone?
Herring? Anchovies?
Sardines in water. Season to taste. Herring. Cod. All good
Heck yeah and mackerel!
Why grapefruits?
Why not ? 😂 😂 😂 😂
@@EricAnimeFreakMuscle weighs more than fat is part of it.
Keys worked for the military where he developed K- Rations (the “K” is Keys ).
Really? I was in the Army Nurse Corps. Hated eating them.
WOW
That is true of most thiings. Most people give up just as they see results.
thank you for sharing knowledge...
Thank you
Crocodiles don't get bad teeth because they get worn down (because they don't have tooth enamel on them) and then they get regrown.
I’ve been on a 5-6 year health quest giving up everything I can that polluted my body . I’m alcohol free sugar free carry free junk free . I’ve slay been a pretty healthy eater but ended up with major sensitivity to mass amounts of foods around 2019/2020 I see a natural path and we’ve monitored my levels heavily and do testing every 6 months . I’ve not cheated not switched it up at all so my body should be well adjusted to this diet . I’m absolutely exhausted all the time and I’ve gained 20 lbs and no I don’t mean 20 lbs of muscle . I had originally lost 47 lbs and felt like a brand new human then decided to do carnivore for arthritis and diabetes scare I eat grass fed beef farm eggs and grass fed butter . I do brown butter coffee 3 eggs and 16 -18 ounces of meat in the morning and night
Dr. Sean Omara also eats fermented vegetables.
