Greetings Dr. Chaffee, I believe the bible says God created our first human parents named them in first ch. of Genesis , and They were Adam and Eve . So the Jewish Nation has real history behind Their Knowledge. And meat was a main part of their diet and maybe vegetables were good in the past but I believe they have been changed by the chemicals that have been the result of, don’t you think that’s right ? But trying to eat for heath and because we are made in Gods image the book of Genesis says not monkeys or what evidence is The Truth ; I believe the bible declares that God is the Creator of heaven and earth , No evolution : Gods revelation is His Salvation because He so loved the World .
Do you remember that Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the Sin of the world .’So he ate meat and of corse fish and He enjoyed it !

Hi their I have to define what I stated previously cause of deep faith in Jesus is the Lamb of God being an Old Testament prophecy in Isiah 9: 6; and the Jewish people were told though revelation from Isiah that God is rules the Nations then and Now so I want Him also rule my mind and heart . And Yes I Eat the meat mostly and have lost almost all extra fat but need to exercise more and firm up more . And thank you for your encouragement….

1:10:00 'takes months to repair leptin resistance before weight comes off.' Instead of saying that most people lose weight on carnivore, these experts should be saying that the very obese people often lose weight soon on carnivore and it takes the longest for people to lose the last 30 pounds, and for those with lifelong weight problems or yo-yo diets who need to repair hormones first.

Not always. Eating only rabbits is theoretically carnivore but doing so would give you rabbit starvation eventually leading to death.

Not always. Eating only rabbits while eating carnivore is theoretically possible, but only by eating excess fat from rabbits while doing so. As this would prevent rabbit starvation, avoiding death through protein poisoning. You would need a lot of rabbits though, as rabbits are generally 19% fat, and 81% protein, thus throwing out a lot of protein.

Get you a really good vibration plate. My swelling goes down with it
I just bought the basic 200.00 from lifepro
      And put it on high
Start out slow because your body will hurt
You just don't realize what stagnates in our tissue and lymph nodes
And when you use the vibration plate (which chiropractors Hospitals orthopedic doctors do)
It will make such a huge difference
Kerris wife from homestead how does too.
Im so glad I finally broke down and bought one
It also helps with any pain
You can even start out sitting down
Now I can do it 10 minutes on high 2× a day
At first I had to sit down
      But no swelling anymore
Unless I eat burger patties from fast food which is rarely

Chuck roast - cut into thinner steaks or put in slow cooker all day - $6-7 per lb at Aldi. Carnivore is cheap when you get to skip the useless produce aisle.

I started my carnivore journey back in September. I gained 35 pounds over the last year thanks to menopause and some mental health challenges. I chose carnivore specifically because everyone and everything I listened to, read, and researched said to eat until you are full. Along with mental health issues, I also have a history with disordered eating. I am one of those who cannot do an "all or nothing" anything, esp when it comes to food, so I am one of those you speak about that hasn't gone all in. It might be great for my physical health, but I would spiral into a "Less is More" mindset long before I would observe and accept the physical improvements. I have lost 15 pounds in 4 months which may not sound like much, but for me, it's a miracle for me because I haven't spiraled into disordered eating. Also, my blood sugar has leveled off, and I haven't suffered a low spell AT ALL in the last 4 months. My clothes are starting to fit again, and I can visually see the positive body composition changes in the mirror, which keeps the ED deamons in check. Bless you for your work, but please don't hammer the thought that all or nothing "strict" carnivore is the best way. Had I done that, I would be worse off, not better.
***I know this is my personal story, and not the "average" story, but there are extremes and outliers on either side of what is "average/normal," and we matter too.

This way of eating has made me very happy 73 y/o. When I lived in Alaska with a native tribe and only 4 other non natives we ate subsistence and only the animals we could hunt, fish we could catch and eggs we could gather. It's always a pleasure to hear Dr. Chaffee! He's so well-spoken and knowledgeable, I feel like I don't want to miss a word.
At the end when he was talking about the "reference ranges" for lab tests, I totally agree! Doctors don't even know what the numbers should be for tests, they just rely on the lab to tell them whether it's supposedly "within normal range". Even though you feel like total crap and having lots of health problems, as long as your labs come within that magical range, that means to them your completely fine. Then they treat you as if you have mental problems for insisting you don't feel well! It's very insulting.
Also, on vitamin and mineral supplements, the "daily recommended dosage" is wildly inaccurate as well. The recommended doses are based on what is needed to just barely keep you alive, not to have optimal health!

I went keto 5 years ago, then went full carnivore 1 year ago. Now I am starting a Lion diet. I love this way of eating and it has changed my life. BUT I am reluctant about having any government agency banning foods. People need to make their own decisions. I will never go back to eating the way I once did but I think if someone wants to go out and eat bags of Doritos washed down with cases of Mountain Dew, they should have the right to do that.
Banning foods is slippery slope. Who’s to say next year that a vegan gets some power and goes out and says meat is harmful and bans it.
We must always support individual freedoms or in the end we will lose ours.

Similar story here, and I agree with this mentality. We can correct the information on diet, require more accurate labeling, or even put warning on foods. I would not be opposed to a label on bags of sugar warning what it may, "most probably definitely will, in my opinion" cause.

Mexico has gone heavy-handed with control over some of the things people eat. It was almost impossible to buy real butter at the grocery stores last time we went. They have an all out war on salt. So this time I brought a container with sea salt in it. Everything is cooked in vegetable oil as well. The best thing I had at a restaurant was some kind of super slow cooked fatty lamb, and I tried not to think about the vegetable oil marinade that probably went on it. And we bought meat from the grocery store, and the healthiest type of eggs we could find. And we only stay in accommodations where we can cook for ourselves. Which really means me more than my husband. But if I pre-cook hard boiled eggs he will go for those.

This is probably the best time in history to have your voice heard when it comes to health. Regardless of what you think of the incoming president, his team did ask Joel Salatin To advise the USDA. That is massive. It brings the opportunity to show the world that raising cattle and other livestock is good for the environment, good for the climate, good for people... You just need to use common sense and make it easier for small operations to get their food to market at reasonable prices (one of the practical things he's been working on). It's also an opportunity to talk more about adaptive grazing and how it literally can change the climate, it has been demonstrated many times. Different parts of the world. We definitely Need to start drifting away from the giant operations that are so unhealthy, and creating networks of food production across the entire country. No one should starve. And I don't mind if a bunch of people do vegetable gardening and like eating that stuff (I think about as "treat" food now), that's fine with me. But animals are key in restoring fertility. And growing food and animals like to eat, and growing it right where they live, that makes sense. Study Permaculture and it's easy to see that even if you want to be more vegetarian, animals are brilliant. Sending the chickens first to scratch the heck out of the land and clear of a lot of the weeds. They are simultaneously fertilizing. Then you can drop in grass seed that's beneficial for cattle and create grasslands and raise your cattle with adaptive grazing that maximizes grass growth while feeding the animals. You might move the animals somewhere else and start another Project and plant fruit trees to sell to people who like to eat fruit, And you plant a guild under the trees of different edible and medicinal and Nitrogen fixing and pest control plants to keep your fruit healthy and when pests come you sending the ducks in - ducks don't destroy your plantings but they do eat the pests. Then you have all kinds of things to sell, peas, beans, herbs, Garlic and onions and such.
Do you want some ponds? Bring in the pigs and some water and let them wallow in it until they create an almost in permeable barrier on the bottom to hold water.
Do you have a Hill? Use Keyline strategies to bring the water down the hillside where you want it to be.
For the first time in a long time we have someone health minded being given a voice to speak to this country. Let's make the most of it. We can make everybody happy whether they eat carnivore or not, but animals are absolutely necessary for the sustainable success of any food raising venture.

Good on you for giving Lion a go.
I did this when I was 156 kg on 28-4-23.
I did strict Lion for 3 months and only allowed myself the choice of doing something else at the end of the 3rd month.
Crazy, but glad I did as it gave me heaps of time to see how it would go, then really think about where I wanted to go after that milestone. I decided to do a combination Lion/Carnivore and for a long time I was 88kg with no meds, supplements, Dr visits-talk about empowering.
Then 3 months ago I got jealous of the rest of the family always eating whatever they wanted, so I slowly digressed. Big mistake as it has triggered all my previous addictions and weight is now 105.5 kg.
I’m going back to Lion (already reducing the crap “foods”) so I’m planning by the 11th to be pure Carnivore/Lion again…likely favouring Lion as I know it works so well.
My worst addiction is the sugar/chocolate/milk combo…it’s going slowly again though.
Good luck on your journey and if you fall off the horse, just get back on as soon as you can.
It would have been kinder to my body had I not gone and swapped diets so quickly, rather (as the advice I now hear) is to transition over 3/4 week period. This is for the gut microbiome.
Videos such as this one really helped in my motivation levels.
I watch plenty in this space and love learning as much as I can.
I love how satiating this way of life is, not having cravings is a really big deal.

I find it difficult to give up green tea and nuts like walnuts and almonds. Over this time, I’ve lost 13 kg, going from 72 to 59. I also take Manuka honey, which I believe helps with detox. I have an autoimmune condition caused by free radical damage and toxins, and over the past year, I’ve noticed that consuming plants or dairy makes my condition significantly worse. Time for these companies and those who regulate it to own up to their actions just like everyone else. If they can put warning labels on the dangers of tobacco then they should do the same with processed food. I.e, "Consuming this product can cause cancer, autoimmune disease and other diseases", if they are unable to remove it from grocery or online shelves.

I grew up with Adele Davis' books also! My mom loved her, I remember the specifically, "The Doctors Book of Vitamin Therapy"!
I remember my mom had tens of bottles of tiny little pills. Each one was a different amino acid. She would separate out how many of each she needed to get just the right amount, lol!

Before carnivore i would have diahrea most of the time, hemorrhoids and bleeding. It was all blamed on lactose as lactose intolerance and lack of fiber. Not only i was obese and sick but now i lost all that weight, im gaining muscles way easy, my hemorrhoids and bleeding disappeared and my stool is so perfect i just push out and comes perfect and no need to wipe i dont need to use toilet paper.

I live like this last year after 3 months strict carnivore and healthy weight loss of 15kg and diabetes stabilised. But a treat a day on carnivore diet doesn't work and put 12kg back on slowly over the year. So be aware it doesn't work half way. If your body isn't broken might be OK though for a while

I've been ketovore for over a month now. I haven't lost the amount of weight I'd really like to (only 12 pounds) but the difference in my health has been remarkable! Very little trouble going up and down the stairs when in the past I sometimes had to crawl up them on my hands and knees, my arthritis in my hands and neck and back are greatly improved and continue to do better. I just have to keep reminding myself that I didn't gain this weight in a month, expecting it to all go away in a month is probably not realistic. Be patient, enjoy your steak and stay the course.

OMG!!!! Thank God!!! I just got to the part about salt and Dizziness, I've been to the hospital twice about it and they keep saying I have "vertigo" but then they did a blood panel and further testing when I came back for a follow up my numbers were great (I was finally not anemic) So I kept eating carnivore and just accepted the fact that I might get dizzy for a couple days once or twice. It was always around my cycle. I started weight lifting about 3 times a week, every time I go I bring electrolytes because it makes sense to do that whenever you workout. Literally this Monday, I was rushing and forgot my water bottle/powder, halfway through the session, my trainer had to damn near carry me downstairs to the sitting area because I was soooo dizzy. I could sit and look at you, but everytime I tired to stand, I could not. I always crave salt and my Man tells me my food is salty compared to his but I literally crave it and won't eat until it's salted af. I'm so grateful Dr. Chaffee started rambling and said that so I couls finally figure it out. It all makes sense. I've been making myself a bottle of electrolytes daily and the dizziness is gone. Side note, I went from 165 to 184, but my waist is 4 inches smaller. In fact I'm heavier than my boyfriend now, but smaller. Its really hard to accept honestly lol. It's very important to take pictures, use a tape measure or waist trainer/beads. Maybe a tight pair of pants. I would have quit if I didn't take a moment to realize "yea I'm heavier, but i can finally fit that pair of jeans" I eat lots of hamburger, bison, pork belly, salmon/shrimp, ribeye and BUTTA. I do eat cheese sometimes and heavy cream in my coffee. But im not pouring half the bottle and snacking on cheese. 98% of my calories is from fatty meat.

Forgot to mention my chest has grown a cup size as well, and its so easy for me to build muscle. I've only had a trainer for 3 months and he is always so visibly shocked at how fast my progress is. Like he keeps asking me if I had prior training or If I lift at home as well. Nope, only twice a week for an hour with him

I was a carnivore for 2 months. Horrible muscle cramps and couldn't sleep at night. I tried increasing minerals and electrolytes. Nothing. I brought back carbohydrates. (honey, vegetables, fruits, coffee) about 10 - 15%, the remaining 85% is meat, fish eggs. Now it's GREAT! I'll try again 100% soon.

I find it hard to believe those who say they’re putting on weight with Carnivore without cheat days. I’m careful not to judge, each of us needs to find our own path. Ultimately, we need to put our own health first. Thank goodness for channels like this that have info we can trust. 👏🇦🇺

I lost 185 pounds and then further weight loss stalled, been stuck around 200-220 pounds for over 2 years, and I'm eating high fat keto zero carb carnivore diet. I can still easily overeat on steak etc, I do best with IF. I have continued to put on more muscle and improved body composition, but I still need to monitor what I eat precisely. I also do over 150 cycle miles a week, lift weights, and walk over 10 miles a day. So, it could just be my active lifestyle pushing me to put on more weight.

    • @AnneMB955
      @AnneMB955 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@ I’m no medical professional and there’s certainly no judgement but perhaps the weight you’re stalled at is what your body wants for now? Especially being so active. Our bodies truly can be adaptable and ‘tell’ us what we need if receptive.

Dr Chaffee, thank you for all of this information. Please add chronic and severe pain to the list of causes for elevated glucose levels while on the carnivore diet. I have spinal problems. When the pain level is higher, my glucose levels are higher. When the pain levels are lower, so are my glucose levels. My doctor explained that persistent severe pain causes the release of hormones which in turn increase blood glucose levels. Thank you

It’s January 10 2025 I’m almost 6 months in to this . I’m 51 and was suffering gut health issues and perimenopause . I’ve been on a 5-6 year health quest giving up everything I can that polluted my body . I’m alcohol free sugar free carry free junk free . I’ve slay been a pretty healthy eater but ended up with major sensitivity to mass amounts of foods around 2019/2020 I see a natural path and we’ve monitored my levels heavily and do testing every 6 months . I’ve not cheated not switched it up at all so my body should be well adjusted to this diet . I’m absolutely exhausted all the time and I’ve gained 20 lbs and no I don’t mean 20 lbs of muscle . I had originally lost 47 lbs and felt like a brand new human then decided to do carnivore for arthritis and diabetes scare I eat grass fed beef farm eggs and grass fed butter . I do brown butter coffee 3 eggs and 16 -18 ounces of meat in the morning and night
