Note - all functions of SkywarnPlus only play audio LOCALLY on the nodes defined in config.yaml, so no need to worry about any nodes connected or "linked" hearing the announcements. Good work on the video and thanks for helping spread the word about SkywarnPlus!

shift+tab should paste clipboard contents into putty with no issue. Sometimes you'll get the '%200' remnant that you have to delete in your pasted contents when coming from a webpage but usually no big deal.

instead of restarting asterisk you can just reload the rpt.conf file. asterisk -rx "rpt reload" or if your in the CLI just type rpt reload

This video is great! Anyway you could should shed some light on how to remove/disable the AutoSky program prior to installing this one?

From what I am beng told that there is no easy way to cleanly uninstall AutoSky but what I did was go into the rc.local file located at /etc/ and put a pound sign in front of the two lines for AutoSky hit CTL + X, Yes to Save and Enter to Exit and REBOOT and that should do it.

This looks a lot more, programmer based than an operating windows program. Is this how you setup the Allstar program? Or will you operate it in the same manor?

Well it's linux/Raspbian a.k.a. Debian derivative based. It's programmed that way because it runs mostly on the Raspberry Pi Single Board Computer

@@HamRadioCrusader Ohhhh Kay! Yeah..Thats all above my pay grade! I am used to operating Echolink in Windows 10. Which Win10 has its own issues! But, I have my home node working. I have not even crackes into a Raspberry Pi. It looks super cool. It seems like you have to write 3,000 lines of code!

Dumb question i have. i have the talkpod a36 plus and i saw in a video that you can enable skywarn plus on that device. what does it mean when it is enabled? does that mean i can get alerts from skywarn network on weather on that device?

Actually SkywarnPlus is installed ion the Allstar or GMRSlive node computer and will transmit alerts over its attached radio. The Talkpod has National Weather Service frequencies installed that you can monitor when there is severe weather in your area.
