Fun Fact: The working title for Boom Town was Dining With Monsters. Russell T. Davies joked that a much better name for this episode would be "What should we do with Margaret?"
This video just made me realise that Torchwood is probably just watching the events of Boom Town from literally right below the TARDIS. I can only assume Jack made them ignore it as he knew what would happen.
thanks for this episode! love the new series you’re doing and i’ve always wanted to connect the dots on all the references to the cardiff rift. this is perfect!
Anyone thinks it's not a coincidence that the year Jack Harkness went back in time instead of the 21st century like he planned is the same year that The Unquiet Dead took place? It's been on my mind for years

To be fair, both are super cool titles.
I love both those titles, and honestly, I think they might've been better choices

I visited Cardiff Bay recently, and I’ll admit, I was somewhat disappointed I missed one of the doctor’s refuelling stops…

He actually put the Hub into lock down so no one could leave just in case they bumped into past him
@@mrdr0161was that an actual story?
@@emperorholocron8278 it's not an actual story, but the event is referenced in The Twilight Streets
If I had a nickel every time the rift became more active
Loving this series so far!

Thank goodness the Doctor built an Eye of Harmony into his TARDIS so he no longer needed to reload in Cardiff.
TH-cam is spoiling me this fine Tuesday
So Torchwood is like Deep Space Nine with the Rift being like the Bajoran wormhole
Nice comparison.
I've heard the words Herner Werzog so many times now that it's infected my memory and that's just how I say it now.
I wonder if, now that RTD is back, the rift will be mentioned again
Such a great lore video!!! (Also is there any chance you may potentially review Children of Earth in the future?)
12:09 By setting up the SCP Foundation
I love it when the Torchwood audios get a mention
I saw the title of this, and realized I have no knowledge of what the Cardiff Rift is where it came from. I'm shook
The guy at 0:16 could have played a convincing William Hartnell/1st Doctor. Possibly more so than David Bradley

these vids are amazing
"Pwccm" is definitely _not_ Welsh!
