    Just installed the 2 inch rox risers. This video was a life saver thank you so much. After 3 hours my mechanic gave up on getting the risers in with this windshield. Luckily I was able to see the bike with the handle bars of. So after going back and watching the video at 4:20 and 21:20. I was able to figure it out. And yes I made sure to run it in my mechanics nose. Lol

    Just got my Rebel 1100 DCT a week ago and want to thank you for this and the many other videos you have created which has both motivated me to buy this make/model as well as make it my own by adding accessories fitting to my riding style and comfort needs. Today it's faring and riser install. Later the Viking bags, Coffmans Thunder exhaust and, of course the Corbin Classic Solo seat. THANKS!

    I know this is an older video, but I spent a good couple hours trying to figure out how to disconnect the electrical cables from the display (that annoying s shaped metal clip is intimidating when you don't know how those fragile plastic connectors are held on). I didn't want to just start cutting the tape off without knowing what was under it. 5 minutes looking through your videos and i found the breakdown here, and it's exactly what i needed to know. Just wanted you to know you were appreciated!

    Well I finally just installed mine with the assistance of your video. Now I understood why you were struggling to explain certain aspects because it is never been done in a video before lol. Talk about complications. Now I understand why there is only one video on TH-cam with the installation walkthrough. Thanks for helping me get this on the bike for my birthday buddy.

Btw would you please either do a updated video on all your bags that you have now including the little bag you have mounted to your frame behind your right leg, and how it’s mounted. Or if your on Instagram a video there might be easier to deal with. I’m ding to buy bags for mine and I know you’ve had several variations.

    Finally I got the stay attached. In reality is not that difficult but it is a pain. Who knew a simple push and tilt of the headlamp did the trick. Learned you can't never have enough extra screws and bolts of all types. I noticed how easily some of the bolt and screw heads strip. The OEM bolts that came with the stay garbage. Again thank you for taking the time and effort in making instructional videos it has helped immensely.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you ma'am! I would recommend putting the risers on first, since you will need to move the headlight out of the way to reroute the front brake line. @@DanielSan-sw9px hi Daniel! The best way to remove it is to cut the tape like I did with the other connector to get to the release tab. In my case I think I used a screw driver and force to pry it off the metal bracket as I didn't know where the release tab was.... Don't do it my way, that was how I was able to learn about the tab.

    I’m looking at getting the rox handlebar risers, but also want a Memphis shades fender. The rox risers have a disclaimer that they likely will not work with after market fairings. You can remove the batwing and screen but not the stay, it's just a few screws, the challenge you will have is with the front brake line, I highly recommend getting a brake line extension, you won't need to remove the difficult fairing stay to install the risers 🤙

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daniel! I just measured the vent, it is 19 mm tall by 11 cm long. I'm not sure if there is a camera small enough to fit in that gap. If you do find one that small, the one thing to keep in mind is if it disrupts the air flow enough to cause a whistle or even create turbulence to the air hitting your helmet, as that vent is designed to create a smooth air flow over your helmet. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that, that angle will get the best video of the traffic ahead. Hope that helps Daniel!

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeffrey, thank you for your kind words brother! The risers you see are 4 inch rox pivoting risers, you don't need any extensions, but you will need to reroute the front brake line as well as the parking brake / clutch cable. Here is an installation video for the 3 inch risers, the process is the same with the exception of needing to reroute the parking brake line. Adding these risers are the best option to eliminate the forward lean as it allows you to keep the stock handlebars without the mess of removing all the controls while only costing $100. Highly recommend to make the bike more comfortable and easier to maneuver.

    I notice you have fitted the cowl well nuts the wrong way, they go through from the outside with the thread furthest from the cowl that way the cowl is rubber mounted and the steel stay cannot wear against the plastic cowl so they are pushed into the holes towards the inside then the screw tightens the whole thing together so there is in effect a rubber washer between the metal stay and the plastic cowl. If you look at the install it shows them being put into the holes from the outside then tighten. Just a quick tip do not fit the headlight cowl before the main stay as it will give you a bit more wriggle room to fit the headlight mounts and top stays, it is easy enough to fit with the mainstay in place. I got lucky again and a screen was put on e-bay by a dealer so I bought it with a very good discount ( must have been the original buyers deposit ) and it turned up next day so it is now fitted and ready.

    Hey man! Really enjoyed watching your video here, super informative, although I do have a few extra questions if you don't mind answering to the best of your knowledge, I am 6'2 and from the two rides I've gone on with my rebel at high speed 65-80 mph I am absolutely getting hammered by high winds haha I know I need the bat wing and windshield but what benefit may I get if I also got the 4 inch risers as well? That would benefit me with my height wouldn't it? I subbed to your channel btw!

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your kind words and the sub brother!!! A screen will make a huge difference in your enjoyment, i'm a huge fan of any screen! Honestly speaking, the batwing is just for looks, the screen that comes with the batwing provides decent coverage for me at 5'7" . For your height i would estimate the wind blast to be around the neck or chin area, you have the option to add a clip on visor to deflect the blast a little higher. I am confident that in the future we will find companies offering a direct swap for the screen that provides better coverage. I installed the pivoting risers to eliminate the forward lean, and they do a great job at that, without them i wouldn't have kept the bike tbh. In your case, reach isn't the issue, so the risers will raise the bars higher by up to 4 inches, meaning your arms will be more horizontal which will make the riding experience more comfortable. The benefits of the pivoting risers that i'm using is that you can dial in the perfect handlebar position for you, i.e. raised straight up, or tilted at an angle. It is the cheapest and easiest way to enhance the riding position without the expense and mess of swapping out the bars and having to get extensions for the wiring etc.... nothing is available yet but Burly brands will soon be selling their extensions if i'm not mistaken.

    I still can't get this on for the life of me. I can get the spacers on and the headlight onto the bridge, but then the bracket dosent line up over the spacers and its to tight to move it without starting over.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know your frustration very well! Did you zip tie the stay to the upper bridge? The key for me was to tilt the headlight forward with the spacers on, while simultaneously pulling the stay with my index fingers out to get it slightly over the spacers, then holding that position to get the light housing over the bottom bridge, once over the bottom bridge, the tension holds everything in place while you continue to align the stay over the spacers and push back the whole unit over the bottom bridge. It took me many hours and many tires to get it to work, be patient with it and you'll get it done. 🤙

    • @williamcoulter5462
      @williamcoulter5462 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure the indicators are off and push up on the stay while you put it in place over the spacers , a little leverage helped me just at the last to get the stay over the spacers the rubber bush will give a little then drop in the bolts, carefully start each mounting bolt by hand before using any tools on them, a crossed thread is the last thing you need.
