    Hi, about to put my yurt up this weekend. When your´re putting the roof poles into the crown. where do you start counting from in the crown?

    • @yurttube8417
      @yurttube8417  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1 - Count how many door slots you have and count 2 along from there either left or right of the door. Then count along roughly 14 spaces from your first pole. Double then triple check your all your first pole gaps but especially the first couple. Its best to get in right in the beginning rather than having to move all the poles along. Continue going around the yurt with equal gaps of 12-14 spaces. Then fill in the gaps in the middle. Then once you have good pressure from all around the yurt, your off and you can start putting poles in at will!

    Hey, why do you put the wall under the roof, is there any reason for it? I just built my own yurt and I did the same the first time and then the wind caught under and lifted the roof. So I redid it and put the wall over the roof as I saw some Mongolian yurts. Thanks for your answer and video :)

      Hi,
      You can do either. If you're not using straps for your felt then you can use the roof felt to weigh down the wall felt.
      If using straps then you can go under or over. Both works fine.
      There's no right or wrong way just do what ever works best for you!

    Для вашего дождливого климата, монгольская юрта не подойдёт, у монголов купол имеет низкий угол наклона 20-23 градуса, так как у них сухой и ветреный климат. Вам нужно использовать киргизскую юрту у которой купол с высоким углом наклона 40-43 градуса, тогда такую юрту можно использовать стационарно в вашей стране круглый год с учётом обильных осадков. th-cam.com/video/x7lvd6RsDeU/w-d-xo.html
