I worked at a Chrysler dealership back in this era, (80’s), and your series is giving me flashbacks!
I recall a large percentage of our complaints stemming from the harness and connectors, especially, leakage across pins, for moisture contamination.
Seem to remember a main feed wire being adjacent to the O2 sensor pin, and having 13 volts bleeding across into that circuit. Our fix was to isolate / remove the feed from the connector. Not sure it was Chrysler sanctioned.
Anyway, even then, they were interesting, for the potentials, and Direct Connection was starting to come out with parts and pieces, as well as swapping parts across the different vehicle models.

I have always wanted to get a 2 piece intake but the one on my 2.5 does the job, the clean valve cover and 2 piece look so great. 🇺🇸

That OTC Monitor 4000E is old as hell. I had one. I bought it used in 1990. It was stolen out of my truck in 1992.

I like the car and think it’s neat. Would like to have the time to do a rx-7 like this. I think it’s similar to this. Once you realize it’s not hard to work on or rebuild it becomes fun like this and the razor rebuild that could’ve drove you home if you had to.

Off the subject, I/we need your help in convincing SCAT to produce a decent crank for the 4.3 GM v6, something along the lines of the NASCAR crank. I don't think it need to be forged. This crank would allow us to use normal SBC rods. SCAT is totally unresponsive to use mere mortals. THANKS

I am sorry. I do not understand the point of this build. It is awful. Even on a no budget build you can do so much more. Balance the rods and pistons on a cheep gram scale. Port the cylinder head and pay for a good valve grind. You seats are way to wide for flow. Then hand blend in the bowls and chambers. Back blend the valves on the drill press after the grind. Install a reground cam with more lift and duration. Weld up a exhaust manifold or at a minimum instal a larger eBay turbo. Larger injectors and mega squirt. Pay to balance the crank, flywheel and pressure plate. Probably end up with close to 300 hp with very little additional expense.
