I want this on a T-shirt. This is, by far, the most hilariously ambiguous representation of the USA ever. You could sell this shirt in America alone and "make bank"...lol. American phrases. The George Washington looks like Hank Hill though instead. I love it. The cultural appropiation of the head dress is gold. LOVE THIS.
Nailed it, a whole melting pot of things. Maybe us Americans should take pride in that fact, and not be so divided because of it. I'm guilty too, notdon't claiming to be perfect. I love the painting. When an American asks “how are you” you can just respond “good” or “doing good” if you don’t feel like answering, in America, it’s more of a formality to ask that. As for the whole smiling employees thing, that is usually a forced customer service thing because in the US its seen as common courtesy to be happy and talkative to each other whereas in Europe, people in general are not as inclined to start conversation with strangers.

I love how some people are getting mad because the flag has too many stripes. No one cares. You knew it was the US flag and that's all it was supposed to do. I'm surprised no one counted the stars to make sure there's enough, or the hairs on Homer's head. It's like arguing that he should've painted it red with white stripes. Its graffiti people!! And it looks great.

The mural is a jumble of seemingly disconnected images that are nevertheless instantly recognizable. In that sense, it's pretty accurate. Some journalist I once read said that "America is big enough that anything you say about it is true." The United States is the best, it's the worst, it's the kindest, it's the most heartless, it's the most violent, it's the most loving, it's the smartest, it's the dumbest, it's the most prejudiced, it's the least prejudiced, it's the ugliest, it's the most beautiful. It's a land of contradictions. This is why so many people find it confusing, because it is confusing. The one thing I would suggest to those who have never been here is don't assume America is one thing.

I love how the global perception of the average American is that we needlessly get offended by silly sh*t cause currently in this country there are a large group of people in this country who are offended that other people are offended by them going around and acting offensive. So they're trying to say that the people who offended because they're acting offensive are stupid and too easily offended....by acting offended that anyone would dare say that what they're doing is offensive.
We got performative offendedness here which is where someone pretends to act offended in order to virtue signal that they're somehow morally better than another person.
We got reverse offendedness which is where you go up to a person and say "Hey that wasn't cool" and they act all offended and go "Whatcha gonna do? Cry about it snowflake" Yes this is a real thing that happens in my country....no not just online...
We got experimental offendedness which is where someone offends you and you sh*t on or about a frequently used item in their life.
I would hazard a guess and say America is the most offended country on Earth which is cringe considering how many countries we coup'd in order to force them to extract their natural resources for us at a "below-market rate".
