I have been completely single (meaning single without a boyfriend and having never been married) for 15 years now, but I have definitely been deeply betrayed at different points in my life by certain exes... and yes, I definitely find that point you made, Mark, about God turning it around and in turn it helping us to become better at discerning who would be faithful and a person of integrity, and therefore better for us to date, as opposed to somebody who is dishonest and unfaithful, and who isn’t right for us, to be very true. I have also found that I am now better able to discern who is being truly sincere when it comes to their intentions as it relates to a possible future relationship with me, and who isn’t being sincere... Honestly, even though I’d prefer not having ever been through the painful act of betrayal, especially as it concerns romantic relationships, I can say that I am glad that I did experience those painful things, because those experiences did help me to develop better discernment... they also helped me to learn to appreciate being treated well and properly, and because of that, I find that I am more apt to treasure the right person that God sends into my life at the right timing, and therefore less apt to take them for granted. Well nowadays it is hard to find a Godly female. Both my exes were faithful but very far from God so I had to break up with them. Especially not to disregard warning signs! 😊Expecting others to be as committed to faithfulness as I am is a big one. A man who is just looking for a "wife" is not the man GOD wants for me. I think I would add 1 more point. I think when 2 people are ready for marriage instead of dating serial dating hopping from one person to the next to the next to the next both of those people will decide in their own heart that they are going to wait and not date till they're pretty sure they meet the right 1. I have not dated for many many many years. I will not do that again until I am fairly certain that the man I have met is the one. My prayer to the Lord has been that he has decided the same thing that he has purposed it in his heart that he will not serial date and give himself away over and over and over again that he will wait and until he meets me.

I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for the past year. It was a relationship that came out of my lack of faith and relationship with God, so it pulled me further and further away from Him. The hardest thing I had to do was to get out of that relationship. I'm about 3-4 months out of that relationship now and my faith and relationship with God is the strongest it's ever been. He's helped me heal (and is still continuing to heal me) and has given me hope in waiting for my future husband :)
All of this applies. I really never expected to be in this place now, contemplating marriage according to our Father's word. My heart had been so broken, I felt it would never heal or be whole again. Through His grace, I have changed so much in the past year that I have actually prayed for marriage. And our Father has answered to His delight and mine. My heart is healed, my trust renewed, my way clear. My fear conquered for whom God brings together, no man shall part. With God, through prayer, you will be healed. Study the Word and learn that he is almighty and faithful.💞💖💝
This movie may make me reconsider a relationship with a woman again. I acknowledge I am influenced by past experiences. and that I had decided to be single for the rest of my life. But after hearing that previous experiences were just an education and that I am now with God's help ready to receive a loving girl who will be my girlfriend. I haven’t necessarily been betrayed but being told that nearly everything about you is wrong and that you need to change, even when you just want the most basic of basic things like physical intimacy and just to spend lots of time with your partner will change you just as much. There’s always some kind of stupid catch, no matter what, and as a result I’ve completely lost interest in dating as a whole.

I'm beyond the point when I can't even know for sure if anyone is being faithful due to the fact that women have tried to act faithful, but ended up leading me on, betraying me, and leaving me clueless to know if someone is being honest or not. In the end, I eventually get abandoned in some way or another. I often question myself if God doesn't want me with anyone.

The fact that we are living in the end times proves it. And the Rapture as we know it is super close. I often feel like a good heart has gone to waste with good health and the invincibility of Christ remaining. I'm not sure what your beliefs are as far as the Rapture, but all I know is the fact that it's not worth trying to live it up with everything going on nowadays. Even if I did find someone before the rapture, I would still be to a point when I would have to start all over after arriving in heaven.

Great message! Having been through unfaithful relationships has definitely taught me a few things! Especially not to disregard warning signs! 😊Expecting others to be as committed to faithfulness as I am is a big one. A man who is just looking for a "wife" is not the man GOD wants for me. HE wants the one who is looking for "me" as his wife! I had to learn that the hard way, when I just wanted to be "married". Now I only want the one that HE has for me. And that one will be faithful to me, as he is faithful to GOD. 😊

I think I would add 1 more point. I think when 2 people are ready for marriage instead of dating serial dating hopping from one person to the next to the next to the next both of those people will decide in their own heart that they are going to wait and not date till they're pretty sure they meet the right 1. I have not dated for many many many years. I will not do that again until I am fairly certain that the man I have met is the one. My prayer to the Lord has been that he has decided the same thing that he has purposed it in his heart that he will not serial date and give himself away over and over and over again that he will wait and until he meets me.

I was in an emotionally abusive relationship for the past year. It was a relationship that came out of my lack of faith and relationship with God, so it pulled me further and further away from Him. The hardest thing I had to do was to get out of that relationship. I'm about 3-4 months out of that relationship now and my faith and relationship with God is the strongest it's ever been. He's helped me heal (and is still continuing to heal me) and has given me hope in waiting for my future husband :)

I haven’t necessarily been betrayed but being told that nearly everything about you is wrong and that you need to change, even when you just want the most basic of basic things like physical intimacy and just to spend lots of time with your partner will change you just as much. There’s always some kind of stupid catch, no matter what, and as a result I’ve completely lost interest in dating as a whole.

I'm beyond the point when I can't even know for sure if anyone is being faithful due to the fact that women have tried to act faithful, but ended up leading me on, betraying me, and leaving me clueless to know if someone is being honest or not. In the end, I eventually get abandoned in some way or another. I often question myself if God doesn't want me with anyone.
Hi BlackSteel! I can certainly understand where you're coming from because, as a woman, I know so many women that lead the good guys on. Of course, not the ones whose heart is right. Also, sometimes women may not know how to be pursued. But don't give up! Godly women who desire to please Jesus Christ are out there. I'm in the single but desiring marriage process so I can relate.
@@jamilawhite3044 thanks for the word of encouragement. It may not be too late for me to find someone, but it's definitely late for me to be married. The fact that we are living in the end times proves it. And the Rapture as we know it is super close. I often feel like a good heart has gone to waste with good health and the invincibility of Christ remaining. I'm not sure what your beliefs are as far as the Rapture, but all I know is the fact that it's not worth trying to live it up with everything going on nowadays. Even if I did find someone before the rapture, I would still be to a point when I would have to start all over after arriving in heaven.
My all time biggest fear is being betrayed by anyone I come close to. I ruin my relationships because of it.

I was asking God if a certain man is good for me. He is a legit Christian. Only problem is, I am not physically attracted to him. Idk what to do.
You could always give him a chance and if your attraction doesn't grow then it's probably not mean to be.
There has to be something you like about him. Grow to know him deeply. Physical attraction fades anyway. Better to be content than chasing greener fields that don't exist.
