Japanese dojos do wonders for people with real passion for wrestling. His party gimmick also worked really well with the Japanese crowd because all they needed to understand in his promos is "drink Strong Zero and fuck hot Japanese women all night"
The fun part of this era of NXT was that you'd get Indy wrestlers that were regulars but weren't under an exclusive contract so they could still do local Indy shows. I knew some people who wrestled part time in NXT and they were allowed to do their own merch at that time too since they weren't exclusive contracts. Not a bad deal
Vinny has stated in the past that juice robinson is one of the most improved wrestlers he has ever seen, on par with nigel mcguinnes.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this edit. Really enjoy these
Just goes to show that even peak era NXT still lacked in booking and skill building compared to companies like NJPW.
Nxt was only good 2015-2018 imo not even a valid comparison NJPW has been around for ages and NXT was conceived as a glorified reality show so yeah

It's so funny hearing all this praise for Boring Corbin knowing what's to come once they put him in an Applebee's uniform
And once he loses his MiTB cash in to Jinder
@@GlasseshoodmanThe funniest shit that had ever happened
To see this guy going from NXT jobber to improving himself heavily in NJPW and finally having his big break in AEW, what a journey.
7:59 QT Jumpscare!
I couldn't just leave him Not-Acknowledged
The fans in the early era of NXT were unrelentingly viscous.
