  • In this episode we return to the shop where we left our newly purchased bike from Bangkok off in a previous episode and receive a ride from a random subscriber. Many repairs and new parts have been applied but there has been complications along the way. We go over the list of repairs and the cost while getting a final tune and test ride. Please see the channel's "About" page for contact information if you have any ideas for paint and graphics. Enjoy the Ride!

    Al you guys, relax on the exhaust, it's fine and legal. It's also a free flow design.......ah! what do I know, been a mechanic and inspector of motor vehicles for 37 years.

    Thanks for these videos. Just subscribed. I'm looking forward to seeing more with this bike. I will be picking up an XJR400 soon here in the UK. It is pretty much stock except the air box has been replaced with pods. I plan to take my time and do a conversion with it.

    Go with a Yamaha model specific decal. Keeps the value up. You will have issues with your logo on when it comes time to sell.

    That's a good motorcycle, great work on the bike.
    It would look, sound and perform much better with 4 into 2 exhaust with shorter mufflers.

    Thanks for the update, after 27000 THB that's still a very cheap bike! Looking good retro-modern! Considering here at home in NZ, as soon as you employ anyone that's $60.00 us per hour so you are getting huge bang for the buck in Thailand. Stay well and thanks for the content.

    She looks Nice, I like the unspoiled look, but she will draw a lot of attention, no doubt. Not sure if that's a good thang...
    I would prefer one of the Monk blessing and then have in made in a gold metallic look, very unassuming nature. Or maybe a graphic of the BANGSARAY Angle who help you, would be very cool and meaningful too.
    Going back in my past I always like the show Kung Fu starting David Carradine, the adventures of Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk traveling through the American Old West, possibly you might go for the Dragon on one side and the tiger on the other side of the tank...
    Graphically I would say stop by some Tattoo shops check out the tat's they have, pick a nice one, then get a graphic wrap made...
    What ever suits you the most, I am sure it will be great...

    Where did you find the bike (Internet?)? 400 is a nice size for TH. IMO the exhaust does sound much better but the style looks wrong and I'd get rid of the chrome/polished side panels to reduce the bling look.

    Gotta lose that white bro that's a sin! Call me old school but I like the original speed block paint that was stock on these bikes (I have an XJR 1300 in Thailand orginal Blue/White speedblock). These bikes are also an excellent platform for a cafe racer... plenty of beautiful examples on pinterest.

    The smoke on start up is probably from the new muffler as they are generally sprayed with light oil to stop rust before they are sold .

    • @Rides4Kickz
      @Rides4Kickz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, and also the mid pipe, I believe the oil is to cut down on corrosion whilst they are in storage.

    Carbureted bikes can be a pain! But I must admit, it looks pretty sweet! I’d go with some light blue striping or just leave it plain. It looks good the way it is! Anyway, I love your channel and I’m finding your videos on everyday life in Thailand to be very informative. I’m retired military and am thinking about Thailand as a retirement destination. The people seem friendly and welcoming! A far cry from the states... Also, Congrats on going over 10k subscribers!
