I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and these are a few improvements I’d love to see for future customers: - Higher refresh rate on CarPlay display (It’s seriously laggy and feels like it has a processor from 2005) - More remote start features like climate control, A/C control, etc - Higher quality cameras for panoramic views (my dash cam has a higher resolution) - Left side bed storage compartment to be returned like it had on the 2016 model - Bigger alternator for electronics to be connected - 12v inside the car - Better battery or maybe even a deep cycle marine battery backup for long term camping trips (gotta watch out for the electric competition) - Better performance from JBL sound system - Factory tuned throttle sensitivity (needed to purchase Pedal Commander since throttle is unbearable from factory) Basically, please listen to what people want from a “new” truck. Each year there should be improvements on the last, but all we’re seeing are new colors and improvements in areas many Tacoma owners won’t be excited for. Build the excitement and let people know they’re being heard!

I just bought a 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6, and it's great. I can see and feel the quality. Comfortable seats, rides smooth, great power for freeways. Best of all I don't have to worry about it falling apart like a Chevy or GMC after a year or two. I don't abuse my truck either by going over rocks and ruts. Toyota Tacoma is perfect for me. 😁
I love this truck it's a beast, it would be awesome if Toyota gave you a V6 diesel option paired with a 10 speed transmission, kinda like the ones on the Land Cruisers.

TRD off-road & TRD pro are very close in capability... I put a set of sumo springs bump stops on my TRD off-road changed the whole truck! Fox shocks are good but overrated unless your off-road all the time. I have the '22 Tacoma TRD off-road 4X4 6-speed manual with the OTT tune drivability is MUCH better now
Could be that they don't think it's stout enough for the extra weight (and extra weight people would add). Could be that they just don't want to make a driveshaft for that exact length lol (the actual manual trans is probably a different length than the auto).
I hope Toyota includes the Toyota Hilux (Southeast Asia) especially Indonesia with a 3.0L diesel engine variant because there are still many roads with difficult terrain, especially in Indonesia.
You can't find a 2021 trd pro anymore (and yay for you if you can!)... the 2022 are already on order. I've been on a wait list for the 2022 pro now for 3 months... and still no idea when I'll actually get it.
Still not offering manual transmission on the SR models..... Come on Toyota. At least give us the option, I'd gladly special order one and wait for it.

My 2018 european spec Ranger produces loads more torque and carrys 1000lbs more. Why can't you get a hilux in north america because this is a bit weak?

I’ve owned TWO US MADE Toyotas and they paled in comparison to their Japanese made TOYOTA/LEXUS Vehicles. “Quality is Job #1” translates to JAPANESE MADE as sad as that reads, 100% true. No I ordered one about 2 months ago and I called and they said for 2022 the cement wasn't in demand. At least for the 6 speed double cab that I ordered.
The V6 drive train is this truck's downfall. I drove two different units on two different occasions in the hopes of liking it. Once without a trailer and a second truck with a 3,500 pound trailer attached. The V6 is gutless and the transmission never stops shifting...even on a level open highway with cruse control set. I really wanted to like the Tacoma but the drive train is a deal breaker. I'm equally disappointed in the new 2022 Tundra. Hideous cartoon styling and no V8 option. Those twin turbos on the Tundra V6 are going to be questionable over the long haul. Very disappointed in Toyota as of late.

Also, I can’t believe the tailgate hitch doesn’t unlock/lock with the rest of the truck. That’s literally insane. I’m installing the aftermarket part that will enable that but what a pain! These are the things that need to be improved. You’re lucky it looks nice as fuck and is reliable as a tank. I also got every feature fully loaded so I do love it. But still, cmon Toyota get your shit together😂
