I venture on a Sunday afternoon visit to the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre at Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire. I discover a village cricket match and meet an ex-England professional, I meet a mead maker from the States, and I enjoy an afternoon of jousting courtesy of the Knights of Nottingham.

looked like a nice day out for you, probably more entertaining than the Riverside festival..Only one good thing about watching cricket for 5 hours, you have time to nod off ...I used to work at john players many many moons ago..have you captured any of the rioting ?

Oh, I didn’t watch the cricket for 5-hours! Just sort of passing by it. I didn’t even know it was on! No, I couldn’t be bothered with the rioting. There are loads of videos about that already. Not really my thing. I was asked if I would be, but didn’t in the end.

To be honest , on a normal day at the visitor centre ie when no events on , which are rare , it's pretty pathetic up there ! . Considering Robin Hood is WORLD renowned you'd expect a massive tourism attraction up there ! Very disappointing venue as it is . Missing out on big bucks for the sake of a little imagination .
