  • The Order is here and were still not ready for it. What a powerful and devastating episode! I do realize now that Ahsoka had to defend herself and I was in such shock I thought she was only knocking clones back or deflecting blasts back to maim only... but odds were so against her. This whole episode was incredible and emotional!

    Part 3 of the masterpiece: "the Republic couldn't have asked for better soldiers nor I a better friend" just when I thought I couldn't love their friendship more than I already do :) When Rex fought back just long enough to tell Ahsoka about finding Fives, she fought against all odds to save him and she had hope in a tremendously dark time. Also, "I am one with the Force and the Force is with me" I cried. Great reaction, can't wait for the finale :)

    Shows that Rex managed to piece things together last minute, since he's the only person who addressed Palpatine as "Lord Sidious" rather than just "My Lord" like the other clones.

    • @acesway9583
      @acesway9583 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      It was just in their programming to acknowledge Palpatine as Sidious, because in the next episode another clone references that they are quote “under special orders by Darth Sidious” so it’s not that Rex figured anything out, it’s just his programming.

    • @TheGreater-ScopeVillain
      @TheGreater-ScopeVillain 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, Rex didn't work out Sidious' identity as such -- every clone knew as soon as their control chips activated. The purpose of the bio-chips is to ensure absolute loyalty and obedience to one man: Darth Sidious. Not the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, but the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious. We know this as whenever any clone receives Order 66, they specifically refer to Palpatine as "My Lord", not "Supreme Chancellor".
      SPOILERS FOR SEASON 7 FINALE:
      In the finale, Advanced Recon Commando Jesse outright states Lord/Darth Sidious' name as he proclaims to follow his orders.

    • @kungolaf4499
      @kungolaf4499 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheGreater-ScopeVillain Jesse hears Rex mention "We are under direct orders from Darth Sidious to..." on the bridge. That is why Jesse knows the name and says "But sir, you said we were under direct orders from Darth Sidious..."
      It is not programmed on the chip but a rather a preconventional figure-out by Rex's implicit mind. When Rex says "Yes, Lord Sidious" it seems as if Palpatine hesitates and has a dissapointed face almost as if to say "I am sorry, WHAT?! Well whatever, it is not like it is going to ruin my plans anymore anyway."

    • @TheGreater-ScopeVillain
      @TheGreater-ScopeVillain 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kungolaf4499 Rex never actually mentioned Darth Sidious by name on the bridge. All of the clones were given that information by their inhibitor chip programming. That is why every clone all across the galaxy, not just on the ship, refers to Palpatine as “My Lord”, rather than “Supreme Chancellor”; information that they wouldn’t have known otherwise.

    What's ironic is that whereas attachment is what led Anakin to the dark side, it's what ultimately saved Ahsoka and Rex. The bond that they developed amongst each other was enough to give Rex a chance to warn his friend and ultimately rescue himself. Something that the Jedi order's dogma prohibited is what ultimately helped them survive that day (and how Luke ultimately redeemed Vader later on)

    In case you didn't know: Disney took over Star Wars in 2013 (I think) and cancelled this show after its 5th season. The show's creators were able to release the remaining episodes, which they had already finished, on Netflix, so these episodes became CW season 6. That's also the reason why season 6 only has 13 episodes and not 20 or more, because they were cancelled mid-production. Dave and his team finished 12 out of the (about) 52 unfinished Clone Wars episodes in season 7, but there still exist (around) 40 unfinished episodes aka 10 unfinished arcs to this day. The scripts of the 40 still unfinished episodes were already finished, as far as I know. You can look up these stories which we still could have gotten before the finale of season 7. I really hope that they will finish more of or all of the 10 arcs/ 40 unfinished CW episodes and release them on screen, one day. We would have seen on screen what happened with Maul and Sidious and with Ventress after the season 5 finale, for example, not "just" in comic or book form. We would have also seen more of the affects that Ahsoka leaving had on Anakin and even a very short encounter between Sidious and Ahsoka. Maybe through petitions or something we could make it happen?

    Oh man, this episode is quite the Game Changer and a heartbreaking episode.
    The battle of Mandalore is over but Order 66 has begun on Ahsoka's perspective with her Clone Commanders turning on her we're in the Endgame now. Having Ahsoka and Maul is quite the unlikely teamup I never expected of course she did had an unlikely Teamup with Ventress in "To Catch a Jedi", although compared with her Teamup with Ventress she's only having Maul as a diversion to distract the other Clones just so she can investigate how to remove Rex's Inhibitor Chip.
    Even her interactions with R7 and the other droids was cute especially when they help out on removing Rex's chip.
    Looking forward to the Finale of Clone Wars on Monday and your reactions to the Bad Batch and Rebels.

    Fun facts for this episode:
    -the conversation with the Jedi Council is the same from Episode III, only now we see that the conversation was longer than what we initially saw. Ki-Adi-Mundi’s line about arresting Palpatine is taken straight from the film.
    -Ahsoka and Maul both sense the duel on Coruscant, with audio ripped straight from the film.
    -Darth Sidious’s one line is another line ripped straight from the film.
    -Ahsoka’s astromech droid, R7-A7, returns after minor appearances in “Storm Over Ryloth” and “Sabotage”.
    -the droid CH-33P “Cheep” is based off of concept artwork designed by Ralph McQuarrie for R2-D2. Cheep is a C1 Astromech, a droid to look out for in future SW stories.
    -Ahsoka and Rex speak the Guardian’s mantra first heard by Chirrut Îmwe in “Rogue One”.

      These last few episodes are the best of all star wars content in my opinion. I like them more than all the movies, and all clone wars and mandelorian shows.

      @@moabman6803 I agree, the last four episodes of season seven, imo, is the best Star Wars content ever made.

    Ahsoka wasn't really feeling it, I think it was Maul

      Filoni explained it as Ahsoka no longer felt Anakin's presence in the force, that there was just darkness in his place.

    A few clones were killed when Ahsoka initially defended herself on the bridge so despite her trying to spare them, she already has blood on her hands

    Wouldn't worry too much since you're watching the bad batch next its basically clone wars part two...just more boring.. With a couple cool easter egg episodes..which you wouldn't understand anyway... For the most part anyway
