I laughed when you said Palmdale. I live there. It's an "interesting" place. I had to photograph a house for sale in West Palmdale and when I walked into their outdoor room it was Tiki heaven. I couldn't believe it was here in Palmdale.
Amazing find ! SJCapistrano here. If only I had the determination to travel far for furniture. I find the greatest pieces, on the east coast and in the Midwest. Hang loose 🤙
lol yea LA traffic big reason why I moved to central cal love your vlog and tiki stuff I'm a fan of your band Iv played drums for about 20 years now I play rockabilly serf and swing
Driving that distance in a 1961 Econoline in searing heat gives new meaning to the expression "...going full Tiki." Your mechanical genius is worthy of employment in a garage in Havana, Cuba!
If you haven't driven one, you don't know how dangerous and uncomfortable they can be. Haha... It was my daily driver for several years. I DO still love the body style though!
Hey man love the videos, glad to see how the breezeway has evolved over the years!! You've motivated me to start my own tiki area and I would love to be able to add that huge blue light you have at the like 1:07-1:15ish mark. If you don't mind me asking What is the name/design of the light so I can work on locating one? Thanks again man keep up the good work!!!
I have been binge eat your videos and on this particular one right at around 12:00 mark where you state I guess the story that goes with this tiki you can see smoke rise up from the bar kind of creepy! Unless you have something emitting smoke or a vapor this is creepy!
Great tiki bar but the ride home was entirely unsafe and illegal. You are so lucky not to have had an accident or a very costly ticket, but I'm glad you made it after all.
In appreciation for your memorable moment at 07:30 in "The Hunt...", may I direct your attention to The Video Cellar (TH-cam) for a clean print of "Monsoon" ( "The Isle of Forgotten Sins" ), featuring the romantic pairing of John Carradine and Gale Sondergaard. 1943 was a good year for this vintage...
That was actually a song that my roommate and I recorded at my house. My band is (coincidentally) going into the studio to record it on Tuesday for real!

Great video, great education, great road trip. Thanks for sharing.
So many amazing pieces in your bar
I'm incredibly envious of your Polynesian Pop home interior. And Sven Kristen is a king among men!
If I ever found a bar like that, I would never sleep again from excitement!
Thanks for the peek into your splendor!
Pretty wild how expensive those tiki books are now. Years of rising popularity and no reprinting will do that.
That is a beautiful piece dude!
That bar is amazing! I started collecting 'tiki' when I wrote the Treasure Craft Pottery book
Amazing!
Well done and very funny !! Cheers fellas !!
You are so cute. Look just like Adam Sandler! Thanks for the road trip. This old California girl appreciated it.

The Midwest? 😎

Just started my Tiki bar and decorating it! Where can I find those cool vintage resin lamps you have? Can’t find them anywhere.
I made those myself
That was so awesome!

Yeah, there's a mister back there for the water feature. lol
On a side note: I drive my 1966 Mustang without air conditioning in Palmdale. Not fun for a beach guy like me.
Awsome Aloha!!!!

What is the name of the song in the beginning? Love it.
It’s called, the Riddle of Steel, by Thulsa and the Doom Boys.
@@ItsJustJerFromJersey Did you contemplate this on the Tree of Woe?
No,..it's The Enchanters. The song is called Tum Tiki. on Tom Tom records, from 1963. This is a weak cover, whoever it is.
@@marcatkinson5187 Thanks for the name, been searching for quite a while for it.
