I remember surprising my boyfriend at the time for his birthday to Clifton’s mainly for the tiki bar. This place is spectacular and so much to see. Such a great place ❤
Crikey Spike what a tour! Of course I have seen pictures and postcards of Cliftons from its heyday, but never in a million years would I have imagined what an amazing place it is. I am totally GOBSMACKED!!
WOW, thanks for sharing...I visited my aunt n cousins in LA in the early 60's, whatta trip, your surf vibe music really takes me back, that young girl from Iowa was blown away at all the exotica so foreign to me then, I thought my older LA cousin was just a wild child, now I wish I'd been more aware... in Florida now exploiting my tiki fixation, you have helped me drag stuff into my tiny tiki in my breezeway and backyard jungle to help with memories long gone and anew and affirms to me that MORE IS MORE...THANKS!
Man what a place. All those details. I could just wander there for hours looking. And thank you for the tour. Its also on my bucketlist now. Damn you 😄
I’ve played Clifton’s many times inside the Brookdale Ballroom and took my break between sets inside Pacific Seas. I hope Clifton’s can draw the crowds it use to. Went to Pacific Seas a few weeks ago and it was the busiest room in the entire place.
I grew up in L.A. and ate at Clifton's satellite locations, but never got to visit this incredible restaurant in downtown. I can't wait to visit the tiki bar next time I go back to Los Angeles.
Can't wait to be there Friday! That'd be a great idea to have specialty drinks made with the Breezeway Blend. Too bad you can't bring some bottles of the Breezeway to sell, as it's not readily available up here in the San Fernando Valley.

What a bar!! So many levels and things to see! Almost museum like in areas with all the taxidermy. Love to visit this place!!
It’s really amazing
Deco plus tiki reminds me of that old TV show Tales of the Gold Monkey. Pre-WW2 South Pacfic
Looking forward to seeing this place in person.
Thanx Spike! It was a super fun build! Crazy history there!! 🤙🍹🗿👌
👻

Glad you liked it!
Good job Spike! I will for sure go here on my next trip to LA!

This is the raddest thing ever!
Loved playing there. I still have a Clifton's wooden drink token.

Thanks for the tour Spike. Clifton’s always seemed like a mythical place from a hundred years ago… looking forward to visiting now!
You gotta go, it’s incredible.
What an amazing place! Great episode! Will take many views to see everything!
Simply amazing!!!
Thank you! Cheers!

I shot for Glamour Bunny in there a few years ago too!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Went to Clifton's for New Year's Eve Year's ago. Haven't been to Clifton's and Pacific Seas since before covid.
Do we need tickets for this event? If so, where do we get them?
If you get there before 9:00, there is no cover. Hope to see you there!
Hey, When I have to "Explain Tiki" I point them to you. But I had to explain Bob Newhart to a Frenchman.
Haha… I appreciate that
You need Palmer in the boat with you
Palmer has been in the boat with me before.
Wow, I need to check this out.
Most ghosts are just rats.
😂 rats dressed up as little children in old timey clothes??
It’s in the stairwell behind a mirror
🤡
What is?
…so when the place is open…are we allowed to wonder around like what your doing or are we relegated to our tables?
You can wander most of the building. Probably not the very top level that I went up to.
I want to meet the Clinton's ghost
😬
