    This is one of the best videos for SoundSwitch! I have watched them all Daryl Bennett. You break down into simple steps to create a beautiful light show!

      🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽Thanks Marty… if it wasn’t for Daryl, I wouldn’t have figured out 1/2 this stuff; dude is crushing it.
      Luckily the SoundSwitch community has a lot of Fart-Smella’s who don’t mind sharing their knowledge 🤪

    Thanks for the info on Attributes. I'm going to try editing them on my lights now. 🙂

    This is really fantastically well done for people to get started with attribute cues and these lights. I actually didn't realize they didn't work outside of 12 channel mode - that's weird.
    Just a small tip - when you're giving credit to something you ah-tribute the credit. If you were going to get a new hat with some cool characteristics they'd be the hat's (h)at-ributes. Just a pronunciation thing because English can be dumb.
    I love how you focused on keeping colors consistent - way too many lose that.

    Hello! Great video, thank you! I have a question though: How did you get the lights paired with the software? I know the MOKA SFX and Both Titan 2 lights have Wireless DMX. Could you show or explain how to do that (when you have a moment)?

      @djjoshuacarl  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not something I can really explain in a reply here but if you just search “connecting wireless DMX” there are quite a few instructional videos, but it’s pretty much as simple as pairing your transmitter to the same channel as the lights, and then selecting a DMX channel and you’re done. As far as getting the lights to move to the music as I mentioned the video that’s utilizing the Chase sequences that are available in SoundSwitch

    Hello Joshua! I have a quick question: I've been using Soundswitch (and investigating about DMX for the first time with it) this week using a gigbar + 4 both 360 titan tubes. I created using your tutorial a few autoloops and attribute cues. However, when I autoscript a song the autoscript ALWAYS use the same attribute cues which makes the lights a bit repetitive. I know I can go into advanced mode and select priorities there, but is there something I'm missing to avoid this? If I create a blank project and autoscript a song it feels way more dynamic without any attribute cue created... Dunno if I explained properly, would highly appreciate some help here, I'm sure it's a pretty simple thing after all. Thanks!

    • @djjoshuacarl
      @djjoshuacarl  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you have to go into the advanced part of auto scripts and add them there, if your attributes are in a folder, you have to open the folder on that page, and pick a bunch.
      For my autoloops I went in an added them manually. For scripts I let them go wherever

      @@djjoshuacarl the only problem I see when I do autoscripting is that it always use the same attribute cues and going advanced for each song feels like a step back... thanks for the quick response btw!

    what macbook would you recommend to run sound switch + mixemergency + serato stems

    • @djjoshuacarl
      @djjoshuacarl  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ME AND SS are very low stress. But stems can be an investment … I wanted zeros hiccups, so I balled out and got a 2023 m.2 16” -- it doesn’t even flinch at that workload

      @@djjoshuacarl appreciate your insight, some of my dj friends think those macs were a bit much but none of them really do stems, video and or soundswitch, I currently do stems and mixemergency on a 2016 16" and it goes ok but I know I could push things alot more.. my 2016 will be a good backup but def be nice to step upto a m1 and m2

      But the way technology is advancing, if you happen to the kind of artist who “likes their gadgets” you are better off erroring on the side of too much today; and just enough in 4 years. That being said; I have a handful of homies on 2012 mbps, and some on scratch live.
      Just really depends on your own personal end-game

      @@djjoshuacarl cheers man, I have bitten the bullet and invested in my dj work and brought my very first brand new macbook 2023 m2 16" every other macbook and dj laptop I have and used have always been 2nd hand and usually done me well but is cool to get a new machine and looking forward to see the creative stuff im gonna do. Thanks for your info and insight ... one request I am keen to put to you is how do you setup your macbook or what would you recommend to optimise and get the best out of your mac, be cool to get a clip of you giving a breakdown on how you setup your mac or things you find useful
