Love your vids. We've been planning on moving to the area and literally took much of the same walk you did in this video just last month. Spent a week in Surf City/Topsail and we've been chomping at the bit to get back down. Your videos help take the "edge" off not being there!

Biking is a popular form o f exercise in the area. In most of my videos, I am on a boardwalk or public sidewalk. Bicycles are not allowed in those areas. That is my best guess on why you dont see bikes in the videos. Thanks for watching.
@@HitchHikingYeti If bicycles aren't allowed on the boardwalk then it's not a proper boardwalk.They just ride in the lane designated for the tram cars.

That federal property is owned by the coast guard, but they are making moves to sell it to Wilmington as they don't use it anymore.
