Looks like you guys had fun,. Glad you went and checked out the GW tree, I metal detect all up and down the Gause rd,. Found some amazing 1700s relics and coins.. and about 16:30 into this video, you see a nick, piece of bart gone, someone told me a guy was driving pretty fast at nightand hit that spot of the tree and got killed, can't remember if that was in the '70s or '80s.. just another part of history of that tree..

Hello Mr.Moe!😁 Thank you for telling me about the George Washington Tree. I love learning about local history. Not to mention the tree is in a beautiful location. I could totally live down there in that neighborhood.

Wow, i just had lunch but that burger looked amazing , i may have to get a good ole burgerfor supper. You guys had a beautiful day for the beach! My friend and her boyfriend are going to be in Ocean Isle next week..I had to share this video with her so she can see whats up. I recently realized surfchex had a cam there. In summer months when its time for vacation, we usually check the cams to get a peek at the ocean live. That is a great area.

A really cool tree is at the end of boonsneck road in Supply. Aka Holden Beach area. And we have the oldest tree in the area in the shallotte point area

I love burgers! Enjoyed your video today. Have you tried Merritt’s Burger House (drive up) on Carolina Beach Rd? The chili is very good, I get chili buns and crinkle fries. Have a great weekend☀️

I have not tried Merritt’s. I have drove by there many times. I think there was a drive-in movie next door to them back in the 80’s. I will try it out over the summer. Thanks for watching my friend. Have a great weekend.

@HitchHikingYeti With summer coming up I was just wondering if maybe you have considered making a TH-cam video on the ocean lifeguards? Like what a normal day is like, what kind of workouts they do?

Hey Yeti! Great video and yes, Beaches Burgers are iconic. Love a good cheeseburger! ~ In reference to the Gause Tomb, It was directed to be built by magistrate John Julius Gause. It was abandoned for years and years but was cleaned up and the brick redone a few years ago and looks great now. The Gause family do have deep roots in our county. I have a video I did with @DetectorMoe at the Tomb. It's posted on my channel. Check it out. Glad to see you include history in your video, Love it. ~ Wish you well and Keep Seeking!
