Hello friends! Come along with me as I take you on a tour to find some of the top filming locations for the movie Safe Haven. Safe Haven is a 2013 American romantic drama fantasy thriller film starring Julianne Hough, Josh Duhamel and Cobie Smulders. The film marks the final film role for actor Red West. It was released theatrically in North America on February 14, 2013. The film was directed by Lasse Hallström, and is an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' 2010 novel of the same name. Thank you so much for this!!! What a blessing!!! We watched the movie and then my husband and I brought our two girls down and saw all the sights. What.a.thrill! We adore it there! Took family photos in all the locations! Sadly, a couple of years later, my husband passed away from cancer at age 54. The Southport trip was our last to the coast. Now after seeing this...I would love to take our two girls back down and come full circle! Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing such a beautiful tour! The memories it brought back was like a heart hug from Heaven!

By the way they filmed part of Weekend at Bernie's on Bald Head island. Show the dock area and has a big scene at the lighthouse. And the beach house is also in Bald Head.
