I ended up servicing the caliper pins shortly after installing the new brakes. See the short at the link below. th-cam.com/users/shorts3UWUcoLpdnQ?feature=share
I got the duralast gold rotors and duralast elite pads from AutoZone. Not a fan, tbh. I wanted OEM but the dealer didn't have them in stock and I was going on a road trip. So I just went to AutoZone. I'm not a fan of the AutoZone ones because they hella squeak. Could never get them to be quiet and they leave a lot of brake dust.
A few months later my friend needed brakes so I tried the power stop ones and they are much nicer than the AutoZone ones. No noise and less brake dust. I'm very happy with those ones.
I was looking at Brembo rotors with Akebono ceramic pads ftom Rockauto. I've never used ceramic pads before, I'm tired of cleaning up brake dust. I'm on the fence about Brembo rotors vs Nissan stock.
@jmac-rz6zc I don't have personal experience with either of those but they seem like a good pair. The power stop part number I gave you is a brake pad/rotor combo. I've heard a lot of good things about power stop and so far my friend hasn't complained about the brakes at all. Diy auto & photo runs the premium z32 version of the powerstop brakes I suggested. I don't think you can go wrong with the Brembo/akebono combo or the powerstop combo to be honest.

Im about to order some rotors and brake pads for my x. So many options. What kind did you choose?
POWER STOP KOE4062 from rockauto. I used these on my friend's 2wd pathfinder (similar to the xterra) and they are great!
