I love it but not into the whole modern look. I'd like to see it made of wood and looking a lot more traditional with some heavy duty hardware. Somewhat like a carriage house door. Very cool concept. Love, love, love it!

haha. its amazing how many people are concerned with safety and security. oh how soft we've become. I'd much, MUCH rather live in a dangerous and interesting world, than a safe and boring one. and really if you think this is 'dangerous'....well, i just dont know what to think.

Klemens.Just an old cynic speaking. Its actually quite clever.
Those giant bolts would need extra reinforcement; not very practical for common use.
And it doesn't get a very good seal with the offset plates.
Seems extremely useless and potentially dangerous to me.
Looks pretty cool tho.
I was thinking the same thing. How many fingers will be pinched in this? But maybe that's what they said to the first guy that used a boulder to cover the entrance to their cave. "Ug, not look safe for Grug's Family, what if boulder have bad axis point or tectonic plate shift and Grug pinch finger, Grug die cuz no invent antibiotic yet."
Not a stupid thought after all Uncle Green. But again, doors are already comfortable and efficient enough, I think.
