Musashi is said to have created "Niten Ichiryu," and was a master of the two-sword style that used both short and long swords.
...Or so it was thought, but it seems that this Musashi is different from the one known in the history textbooks.
"Eh? Musashi's a guy in this world? And super-famous? Wow!"
As you can see, this Musashi is a very casual person who doesn't put on airs.
She's not interested in victory nor honor, drinks way too much, is exceptionally greedy, and easily swayed by offers of free food.
But those who fight her all say this before they are defeated:

In proper history, she was born in Oohara, Sakushu, which is now part of Mimasaka City in Okayama Prefecture. She was born in the year 1584.
Her father was an instructor of martial arts who served the Shinmen clan, the lords of Takayama castle. The Shinmen clan granted him the right to use the Shinmen name, and so he called himself Shinmen Munisai. Shinmen Munisai had a dojo that taught the use of the jitte in Miyamoto village in Yoshinosato, which became Musashi's homeland. For this reason, she calls herself Miyamoto Musashi.
She would later go on to leave behind many legends, especially during her twenties, when she fought many other warriors. To this day, these great duels are a staple of entertainment.
However, the truth about most of the episodes that took place during the decade of her twenties is unknown, and many of them are believed to be fictional.

Good opinion but for me need to be a wielder of the sacred sword.
As much as I like mushahi, to be a grand saber you need to have a divine sword so she's out already on that regard and the first to put in mind is artoria whose a true wielder of a holy sword.

@@adam-dn3hi actually she is, one reason she is keep wandering and able to enter lostbelt easily is because she come from an already pruned timeline. AKA: a lostbelt, hence she has no anchor to enable her to stay in one place.

She does not come from a lostbelt.
SHE IS THE LOSTBELT, she is not supposed to be there, she supposed to be dead, but one thing lead or another and she can drift around world.

In a sense, she is a masterless swordsman. So she's a vagabond rather than a samurai or a ronin.

If I was in a grail war I would want Musashi as my saber class servant if I summon one but if I got a Lancer than eather scáthach or Medusa would be my preferred summons
I hate her very being after playing Shimosa . It is too damn hard (compared to the singularities and even the first 4 Lostbelts) because she had no synergy with most of my characters.

Out of this batch, my favorite is the last for sure.
The way Limbo speaks so calmly, paced as he himself is coming to terms of Musashi's achievement, as someone who saw her climb tooth, nail and blade out of the singularity shows not only reverence, but also a very palpable feeling of envy for his own ambition remaining incomplete. I gotta give kudos, stellar voice work.

Even though I prefer Regend more, Musashi is a very loveable character, her NP buff is an obvious spoiler for her coming back to the story and I'm all for it. Now I wait for what everyone thinks about Regend AND for Regend and Musashi to appear in the the same story arc again :>

Ngl I had no idea who this person was when I got her as a saber on new years, but it's interesting seeing lore about her as it makes me feel like an actual master in Fate like how Waver learned about Alexander the Great, it's fascinating.
Also it makes me feel really lucky even though I was trying (and failed) to get Astolfo saber in a last ditch effort by spending $20 on SQ that I was gonna use to buy a vr game on steam.

@@anusaukko6792 blade and sorcery, I ended up getting it anyways later though, fun game but needs more content. I like to do servant class themes and run around with only a sword or spear usually just to make it more interesting.

宮本武蔵は風呂に入っていない汚いおっさんのイメージが強いから、綺麗で清潔そうな武蔵ちゃんは別物と割り切れるけど。
Ohh man Musashi is a roller coaster for me. When i first started, I just saw her and liked her design but didn't think nothing of her. I started playing the game because of Saber Alter but when I got to the Shimosa singularity, Musashi took the number one spot as my saber servant and waifu of the series as a whole. She is amazing, when she appears in game you know the story is going to be thrilling and her goal to reach the void in her sword mastery is epic for me.
I think she deserves to be Grand Saber since she is strong and even against zero odds of winning she always pushes to get a victory.

My all time #2 Saber. Yeah, I like Altera more (me and my strange tastes), but still, Musashi is really somebody you can only like. Funny, strong, get-go, don't sweet on small staff, tries her best even if everything is falling from her hands, but... she is still a girl with great smile.
Happy that got her copy now, cause NA won't be seeing her for a long time...

I am sad and conflicted to see her go like that but she and Solomon both somehow were able to get what they wanted in the end. I wonder how many others will go down that path but then again all of them are ultimately "heroic spirits" with goals that are preventing them from passing on and holding them down to that hero throne i suppose (could be wrong I might have forgotten the lore). I would rather not like them to suffer endlessly but somehow at the same time it feels empty too. Feels just like telltale gameplay climax where one crucial decision will change everything and you will have to live with it regardless of the consequence.

what i think about Miyamoto Musashi? A person who cut the 4000 years chinese martial art guy, a person who make the Pre-Historic Man that actually eat the dinasour run with crying like a baby, and a person who can equal in the term of speed, durabilty, and power to the Strongest Creature on Earth.
