    The style of this monsters almost looks like something you would see on the Simpsons. It is pretty cool.

    Your videos showing DM’ing stuff like this are my favorite things on TH-cam. I casually DM my roommates in weekly sessions and have used your tips for my world map and several dungeons I’ve thrown at them. Keep up the great work!

    Hi. I'm from Russia and I watch your great videos. However, it is difficult to understand them with automatic TH-cam subtitles. It would be great if they were written correctly, even in English.Thank you for your work!

    I love this, and I would love to see more of dungeon packs like this by you. Really dig your style (both art but also instructional). i'm just waiting for one of my players to die so I can suggest that they visit this temple, ha.

    Do you use smoothing on your brush? Your lines are very clean with no shake whatsoever. I have a drawing monitor but my hands tend to shake and I can't get lines as clean as that.

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It does take a lot of practice! I am pretty heavy handed, so I struggle with that. This might sound crazy, but learning how to control my breathing really helped. Draw big smooth lines while slowly exhaling. All that said, I did have smoothing on 10% for this! :P

    I'm definitely getting some Matt Groening vibes from the faces. Aside from that, It does remind me when I use certain kinds of videogame bosses and other baddies for my games.

    If it sucks up a wizard can it use his/her spells? Can it use class features? Can it use smite from a paladin ? If a person has a magic item can it use it? Was it originally a single creature that absorbed others ?

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting idea! I didn't really consider it an intelligent creature, so I didn't plan on it being able to do that, but you can run it however you like!

    Great video as always! Lovin' your series. What about if the monster held all the loose coins and gems in special non corrosive glands that are only discovered through an investigation check with a higher challenge. perhaps those glands can be made into special sacks with resistance by a wizard or alchemist?

    Oh, also: would you ever think about making a high rez, "clean" PDF of the map that people could blow up and printout? My local print shop has a blueprint printer that this would probably cost about $5-7 dollars to print out in real-size. For something my buds and I are going to spend a couple hours doing, that seems worth it to me! Wonderful work, as always.

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's 300 dpi resolution right now. If you really wanted to blow it up larger, your best bet would be to vectorize it (image trace in Illustrator maybe?)

  • @joefixit888

    So the only way to kill it is with magic?

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope! It's not immune or even resistant to physical damage. In fact, it takes double damage from a "consumed" creature.
