you can think of velocity in 2 ways 1: high notes are obviously going to be louder since its played by the right hand and you usually press harder (this is subjective but it should be sorta a guideline, dont always put high notes on a louder velocity) 2: what point do you want something to stand out, like a crescendo or a point in the song, you can get very creative with it and make specific points stand out example (Important): in one of my small pieces "princess kaguya" th-cam.com/video/aVGHDJbhcaY/w-d-xo.html you can see the exact point where I want a note to "stand out" at 0:10 i.imgur.com/Yjkv25I.png a C# note
